1 A nd there came one of the seven angels that had the seven bowls, and spake with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the judgment of the great harlot that sitteth upon many waters;

И дойде един от седемте ангела, които държаха седемте чаши, и ми заговори: Ела, ще ти покажа осъждането на голямата блудница, която седи над много води;

2 w ith whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and they that dwell in the earth were made drunken with the wine of her fornication.

с която блудстваха земните царе и земните жители се опиха от виното на нейното блудстване.

3 A nd he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet-colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

И така, той ме заведе в Духа в една пустиня, където видях жена, седяща на червен звяр, покрит с богохулни имена, който имаше седем глави и десет рога.

4 A nd the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations, even the unclean things of her fornication,

Жената бе облечена в пурпур и червено и украсена със злато, със скъпоценни камъни и с бисери, и държеше в ръката си златна чаша, пълна с гнусотии и нечистотиите от нейното блудстване.

5 a nd upon her forehead a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

А на челото ѝ имаше написано това име: Тайна; великият Вавилон, майка на блудниците и на земните гнусотии.

6 A nd I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with a great wonder.

И видях, че жената се беше опила от кръвта на светиите и от кръвта на Исусовите мъченици; и като я видях, зачудих се твърде много.

7 A nd the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou wonder? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and the ten horns.

Но ангелът ми каза: Защо се зачуди? Аз ще ти кажа тайната на жената и на звяра, който я носи, който има седем глави и десет рога.

8 T he beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the abyss, and to go into perdition. And they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, they whose name hath not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast, how that he was, and is not, and shall come.

Звярът, който си видял, беше, но го няма вече; обаче скоро ще излезе от бездната и ще отиде в погибел. И земните жители, всеки, чието име не е написано в книгата на живота от създаването на света, ще се зачудят, когато видят, че звярът беше и го няма вече, но пак ще дойде.

9 H ere is the mind that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth:

Ето разумното значение на това: Седемте глави са седем хълма, на които седи жената;

10 a nd they are seven kings; the five are fallen, the one is, the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a little while.

те са и седем царе, от които петима паднаха и единият е сега, а другият още не е дошъл, и когато дойде, трябва само малко да постои;

11 A nd the beast that was, and is not, is himself also an eighth, and is of the seven; and he goeth into perdition.

и звярът, който беше и го няма, той е осмият цар, който е от седемте и отива в погибел;

12 A nd the ten horns that thou sawest are ten kings, who have received no kingdom as yet; but they receive authority as kings, with the beast, for one hour.

и десетте рога, които си видял, са десет царе, които още не са получили царска власт, но за един час получават власт като царе заедно със звяра;

13 T hese have one mind, and they give their power and authority unto the beast.

те са единомислени и предават на звяра своята сила и власт;

14 T hese shall war against the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them, for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and they also shall overcome that are with him, called and chosen and faithful.

те ще воюват против Агнеца, но Агнецът ще ги победи, защото е Господ на господарите и Цар на царете; също и онези, които са с Него, ще победят, които са призвани, избрани и верни.

15 A nd he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

Каза ми още: Водите, които си видял, където седи блудницата, са народи и множества, племена и езици.

16 A nd the ten horns which thou sawest, and the beast, these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her utterly with fire.

И десетте рога, които си видял, и звярът ще намразят блудницата и ще я опустошат и направят гола, и ще изядат месата ѝ, а нея ще изгорят в огън.

17 F or God did put in their hearts to do his mind, and to come to one mind, and to give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God should be accomplished.

Защото Бог вложи в сърцата им желание да изпълнят Неговата воля, като действат единомислено и предадат царската си власт на звяра, докато се сбъднат Божиите думи.

18 A nd the woman whom thou sawest is the great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

И жената, която си видял, е големият град, който царува над земните царе.
