1 Y e are the children of Jehovah your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

Вие сте синове на Господа, вашия Бог; да не правите по тялото си нарязвания, нито да се бръснете между очите си заради мъртвец.

2 F or thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God, and Jehovah hath chosen thee to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.

Защото сте народ, свят на Господа, вашия Бог, и вас избра Господ измежду всички племена, които са по лицето на земята, за да бъдете Негов народ.

3 T hou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

Да не ядеш нищо нечисто.

4 T hese are the beasts which ye may eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

Ето животните, които може да ядете: говедото, овцата и козата,

5 t he hart, and the gazelle, and the roebuck, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the antelope, and the chamois.

елена, газелата, бивола, дивата коза, кошутата, антилопата и планинската овца.

6 A nd every beast that parteth the hoof, and hath the hoof cloven in two, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that may ye eat.

Всяко животно от четирикраките, което има раздвоен крак и разцепено на два нокътя копито и което преживя, тях да ядете.

7 N evertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that have the hoof cloven: the camel, and the hare, and the coney; because they chew the cud but part not the hoof, they are unclean unto you.

Но да не ядете от онези, които само преживят или които само имат раздвоено и разцепено копито, като камилата, заека и язовеца; понеже те преживят, но нямат раздвоено копито, те са нечисти за вас;

8 A nd the swine, because he parteth the hoof but cheweth not the cud, he is unclean unto you: of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcasses ye shall not touch.

и свинята, понеже има раздвоено копито, но не преживя, е нечиста за вас; от месото на тези домашни животни да не ядете и до труповете им да не се допирате.

9 T hese ye may eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales may ye eat;

От всички, които живеят във водата, ето кои да ядете: всички, които имат перки и люспи, да ядете;

10 a nd whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye shall not eat; it is unclean unto you.

но да не ядете никои, които нямат перки и люспи; те са нечисти за вас.

11 O f all clean birds ye may eat.

От всички чисти птици можете да ядете.

12 B ut these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the gier-eagle, and the ospray,

А ето тези, които не трябва да ядете: орела, лешояда, черния лешояд,

13 a nd the glede, and the falcon, and the kite after its kind,

червената каня, черната каня, сокола по видовете му;

14 a nd every raven after its kind,

всяка врана по видовете ѝ;

15 a nd the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the sea-mew, and the hawk after its kind,

кукумявката, совата, чайката, ястреба по видовете му,

16 t he little owl, and the great owl, and the horned owl,

малкия бухал, големия бухал, белия бухал,

17 a nd the pelican, and the vulture, and the cormorant,

пеликана, рибаря, корморана,

18 a nd the stork, and the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.

щъркела, чаплата по видовете ѝ, папуняка и прилепа.

19 A nd all winged creeping things are unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.

Всички крилати пълзящи са нечисти за вас; не бива да се ядат.

20 O f all clean birds ye may eat.

От всички чисти птици можете да ядете.

21 Y e shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou mayest give it unto the sojourner that is within thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto a foreigner: for thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother's milk.

Никаква мърша да не ядете (на чужденеца, който е в градовете ти, можеш да я даваш да я яде или да я продаваш на чужденец); защото вие сте свят народ на Господа, вашия Бог. Да не вариш яре в млякото на майка му.

22 T hou shalt surely tithe all the increase of thy seed, that which cometh forth from the field year by year.

Непременно да даваш десета част от всичките си произведения, които си посял, които нивата ти произвежда всяка година.

23 A nd thou shalt eat before Jehovah thy God, in the place which he shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of thy grain, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd and of thy flock; that thou mayest learn to fear Jehovah thy God always.

И десетата част от житото си, от виното си и от маслото си, и първородните от говедата си и от овцете си да ядеш пред Господа, твоя Бог, на мястото, което избере, за да настани там Името Си; за да се научиш да се боиш всякога от Господа, твоя Бог.

24 A nd if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it, because the place is too far from thee, which Jehovah thy God shall choose, to set his name there, when Jehovah thy God shall bless thee;

Но ако, когато те благослови Господ, твоят Бог, пътят е много дълъг за тебе, така че да не можеш да ги занасяш, понеже е много далеч от тебе мястото, което избере Господ, твоят Бог, за да настани там Името Си,

25 t hen shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thy hand, and shalt go unto the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose:

тогава да разменяш десятъците си с пари и да вържеш парите в ръката си, и да идеш на мястото, което избере Господ, твоят Бог;

26 a nd thou shalt bestow the money for whatsoever thy soul desireth, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul asketh of thee; and thou shalt eat there before Jehovah thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou and thy household.

и да дадеш парите за каквото и да е нещо, което пожелаеш, за говеда или за овце, или за вино, или за спиртни питиета, или за каквото и да е нещо, което би пожелал; и там, пред Господа, твоя Бог, да ядеш и да се развеселиш - ти, домът ти

27 A nd the Levite that is within thy gates, thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee.

и левитът, който е в градовете ти; него да не пренебрегваш, защото той няма дял, нито наследство с тебе.

28 A t the end of every three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase in the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:

В края на всяка трета година да изваждаш целия десятък от произведението си през онази година и да го складираш в градовете си,

29 a nd the Levite, because he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hand which thou doest.

така че левитът (защото той няма дял, нито наследство с тебе), чужденецът, сирачето и вдовицата, които са в градовете ти, да идват, да ядат и да се насищат; за да те благославя Господ, твоят Бог, във всичко, което вършиш.
