1 A nd this was the lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the first-born of Joseph. As for Machir the first-born of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, because he was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan.

Беше хвърлен жребий и за племето на Манасия, защото той беше първородният на Йосиф. Махир, Манасиевият първороден, баща на Галаад, понеже беше военен мъж, получи Галаад и Васан.

2 S o the lot was for the rest of the children of Manasseh according to their families: for the children of Abiezer, and for the children of Helek, and for the children of Asriel, and for the children of Shechem, and for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemida: these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph according to their families.

Така че хвърленият жребий беше за другите Манасиеви потомци според семействата им: за потомците на Авиезер, за потомците на Хелек, за потомците на Асриил, за потомците на Сихем, за потомците на Ефер и за потомците на Семида. Тези бяха синовете на Йосифовия син Манасия според семействата им.

3 B ut Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters: and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

Обаче Салпаад, син на Ефер, син на Галаад, син на Махир, син на Манасия, нямаше синове, а дъщери. Ето имената на дъщерите му: Маала, Нуа, Егла, Мелха и Терса.

4 A nd they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, Jehovah commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren: therefore according to the commandment of Jehovah he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.

Те дойдоха пред свещеника Елеазар, пред Исус, Навиновия син, и пред първенците и казаха: Господ заповяда на Моисей да ни даде наследство между братята ни. Затова според Господнето повеление той им даде наследство между братята на баща им.

5 A nd there fell ten parts to Manasseh, besides the land of Gilead and Bashan, which is beyond the Jordan;

И така, на Манасия се паднаха десет дяла, освен земята Галаад и Васан, която е на изток от Йордан,

6 b ecause the daughters of Manasseh had an inheritance among his sons. And the land of Gilead belonged unto the rest of the sons of Manasseh.

защото дъщерите на Манасия получиха наследство между синовете му, а Галаадската земя беше на другите потомци на Манасия.

7 A nd the border of Manasseh was from Asher to Michmethath, which is before Shechem; and the border went along to the right hand, unto the inhabitants of En-tappuah.

Манасиевата граница минаваше от Асир до Михметат, който е срещу Сихем, и продължаваше надясно до жителите на Ентапфуя.

8 T he land of Tappuah belonged to Manasseh; but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged to the children of Ephraim.

Земята на Тапфуя принадлежеше на Манасия; а самият град Тапфуя, на Манасиевата граница, принадлежеше на Ефремовите синове.

9 A nd the border went down unto the brook of Kanah, southward of the brook: these cities belonged to Ephraim among the cities of Manasseh: and the border of Manasseh was on the north side of the brook, and the goings out thereof were at the sea:

След това границата слизаше до потока Кана, на юг от потока. Тези от Манасиевите градове принадлежаха на Ефрем; и Манасиевата граница вървеше на север от потока и свършваше при морето.

10 s outhward it was Ephraim's, and northward it was Manasseh's, and the sea was his border; and they reached to Asher on the north, and to Issachar on the east.

Земята на юг беше на Ефрем, а на север - на Манасия, и морето беше границата му; земите им достигаха на север до Асир и на изток до Исахар.

11 A nd Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Beth-shean and its towns, and Ibleam and its towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, and the inhabitants of En-dor and its towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and its towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns, even the three heights.

А в земята на Исахар и Асир Манасия притежаваше: Ветсан и заселищата му, Ивлеам и заселищата му, жителите на Дор и заселищата му, жителите на Ендор и заселищата му, жителите на Таанах и заселищата му и жителите на Магедон и заселищата му, три околии.

12 Y et the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

Но Манасиевите синове не можаха да изгонят жителите на тези градове, а ханаанците останаха да живеят в онази земя.

13 A nd it came to pass, when the children of Israel were waxed strong, that they put the Canaanites to taskwork, and did not utterly drive them out.

А когато израелтяните се закрепиха, те наложиха на ханаанците данък, без да ги изгонят оттам.

14 A nd the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one part for an inheritance, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as hitherto Jehovah hath blessed me?

Тогава Йосифовите потомци казаха на Исус: Защо ти допусна за нас да се хвърли само един жребий и да наследим само един дял, при положение че сме многоброен народ, понеже Господ ни е благословил досега?

15 A nd Joshua said unto them, If thou be a great people, get thee up to the forest, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the Rephaim; since the hill-country of Ephraim is too narrow for thee.

А Исус им отговори: Ако сте многоброен народ, идете в гората и си изсечете една част от нея в земята на ферезейците и на рафаимите, щом хълмистата част на Ефрем е тясна за вас.

16 A nd the children of Joseph said, The hill-country is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are in Beth-shean and its towns, and they who are in the valley of Jezreel.

Но Йосифовите потомци възразиха: Тази хълмиста земя не е удобна за нас; при това всички ханаанци, които живеят в долината, имат железни колесници - както онези, които са във Ветсан и заселищата му, така и другите, които са в Езраелската долина.

17 A nd Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power; thou shalt not have one lot only:

Тогава Исус говорѝ на Йосифовия дом - на Ефрем и Манасия: Наистина вие сте многоброен народ и имате голяма сила; няма да имате само едно притежание чрез жребий;

18 b ut the hill-country shall be thine; for though it is a forest, thou shalt cut it down, and the goings out thereof shall be thine; for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have chariots of iron, and though they are strong.

а хълмистата част ще бъде ваша, макар че е залесена. Ще я изсечете и ще бъде изцяло ваша, понеже ще прогоните ханаанците, независимо че имат железни колесници и са силни.
