1 A nd when Abram was ninety years old and nine, Jehovah appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

Когато Аврам беше на деветдесет и девет години, Господ се яви и му каза: Аз съм Всемогъщият; ходи пред Мен и бъди непорочен.

2 A nd I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

И ще сключа завета Си между Мен и теб и ще умножа потомството ти.

3 A nd Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

Тогава Аврам падна на лицето си; и Бог му говореше:

4 A s for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be the father of a multitude of nations.

Ето, Моят завет е с теб; и ти ще станеш баща на множество народи.

5 N either shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for the father of a multitude of nations have I made thee.

Няма да се наричаш вече Аврам, а името ти ще бъде Авраам; защото те направих баща на множество народи.

6 A nd I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

Ще те направя плодовит и ще произведа народи от теб; и царе ще произлязат от теб.

7 A nd I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.

И ще утвърдя завета Си между Мен и теб и потомците ти след тебе през всичките им поколения за вечен завет, че ще бъда Бог на теб и на потомството ти след тебе.

8 A nd I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land of thy sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

На теб и на потомството ти след тебе ще дам за вечно притежание земята, в която си пришълец, цялата Ханаанска земя; и ще им бъда Бог.

9 A nd God said unto Abraham, And as for thee, thou shalt keep my covenant, thou, and thy seed after thee throughout their generations.

Бог каза още на Авраам: Пази завета Ми, ти и потомците ти след тебе, през всичките си поколения.

10 T his is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee: every male among you shall be circumcised.

Ето Моя завет, който трябва да пазите между Мен и вас и потомците ти след тебе: всеки между вас от мъжки пол да се обрязва.

11 A nd ye shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of a covenant betwixt me and you.

Да обрязвате краекожието на плътта си; и това ще бъде знак на завета между Мен и вас.

12 A nd he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any foreigner that is not of thy seed.

Всяко мъжко дете между вас във всичките ви поколения, като стане на осем дни, трябва да се обрязва - както роденото в дома ти, така и онова, което не е от твоето потомство, купено с пари от някой чужденец.

13 H e that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

Непременно трябва да се обрязва и роденият в дома ти, и купеният с парите ти; и Моят завет в плътта ви ще бъде вечен завет.

14 A nd the uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

А необрязаният от мъжки пол, чието краекожие на плътта не е обрязано, този човек ще бъде погубен измежду своя народ, защото е нарушил завета Ми.

15 A nd God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

После Бог каза на Авраам: Не наричай вече жена си Сарая, а Сара да бъде името ѝ.

16 A nd I will bless her, and moreover I will give thee a son of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be of her.

Аз ще я благословя, още и син ще ти дам от нея. Да! Ще я благословя и тя ще стане майка на народи; царе на племена ще произлязат от нея.

17 T hen Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

Тогава Авраам падна по очи, засмя се и си помисли: На стогодишен човек ли ще се роди дете? И Сара, която има деветдесет години, ще роди ли?

18 A nd Abraham said unto God, Oh that Ishmael might live before thee!

Авраам каза на Бога: Исмаил да бъде благословен от Тебе.

19 A nd God said, Nay, but Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.

Но Бог отговори: Не, а жена ти Сара ще ти роди син и ще го наречеш Исаак; и с него ще утвърдя завета Си за вечен завет, който ще бъде и за потомството му след него.

20 A nd as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

И за Исмаил те послушах. Ето, благослових го и ще го наплодя и преумножа; дванадесет племеначалници ще се родят от него и ще го направя велик народ.

21 B ut my covenant will I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

Но завета Си ще утвърдя с Исаак, когото Сара ще ти роди догодина по това време.

22 A nd he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

А като престана да говори с Авраам, Бог се издигна от него.

23 A nd Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

В същия ден Авраам повика сина си Исмаил, всички родени в дома му и всички роби, купени с парите му, всеки от мъжки пол между хората на Авраамовия дом, и обряза краекожието на плътта им, според както Бог му каза.

24 A nd Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

Авраам беше на деветдесет и девет години, когато се обряза краекожието на плътта му;

25 A nd Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

а синът му Исмаил беше на тринадесет години, когато се обряза краекожието на плътта му.

26 I n the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.

В един и същи ден се обрязаха Авраам и синът му Исмаил.

27 A nd all the men of his house, those born in the house, and those bought with money of a foreigner, were circumcised with him.

И всички мъже от дома му - както родените в дома, така и купените от чужденци с пари, се обрязаха заедно с него.
