1 C omfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

Утешавайте, утешавайте народа Ми, казва вашият Бог.

2 S peak ye comfortably to Jerusalem; and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she hath received of Jehovah's hand double for all her sins.

Говорете по сърцето на Йерусалим и извикайте към него, че времето на воюването му се изпълни, че беззаконието му бе простено; защото взе от ръката Господня двойно наказание за всичките си грехове.

3 T he voice of one that crieth, Prepare ye in the wilderness the way of Jehovah; make level in the desert a highway for our God.

Глас на един, който вика: Пригответе в пустинята пътя за Господа, направете в безводното място прав път за нашия Бог.

4 E very valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain:

Всяка долина ще се издигне и всяка планина и хълм ще се сниши; кривите места ще станат прави и неравните места - поле;

5 a nd the glory of Jehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken it.

и славата Господня ще се яви и всички твари заедно ще я видят; защото устата Господни изговориха това.

6 T he voice of one saying, Cry. And one said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field.

Глас на един, който казва: Прогласи! И бе отговорено: Какво да проглася? - Всяка твар е трева и цялата ѝ слава е като полския цвят;

7 T he grass withereth, the flower fadeth, because the breath of Jehovah bloweth upon it; surely the people is grass.

тревата съхне, цветът вехне; защото дишането Господне духа върху него; наистина народът е трева!

8 T he grass withereth, the flower fadeth; but the word of our God shall stand forever.

Тревата съхне, цветът вехне, но словото на нашия Бог ще остане довека.

9 O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion, get thee up on a high mountain; O thou that tellest good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold, your God!

Ти, който носиш благи вести на Сион, изкачи се на високата планина; ти, който носиш благи вести на Йерусалим, издигни силно гласа си; издигни го, не бой се, кажи на Юдейските градове: Ето вашия Бог!

10 B ehold, the Lord Jehovah will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him: Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

Ето, Господ Йехова ще дойде със сила и мишцата Му ще владее за него; ето, наградата Му е с него и въздаянието Му - пред него.

11 H e will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those that have their young.

Той ще пасе стадото Си като овчар, ще събере агнетата с мишцата Си, ще ги носи в скута Си и ще води полека доещите.

12 W ho hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

Кой е премерил водите с шепата си, измерил небето с педя, побрал в мярка пръстта на земята и претеглил планините с теглилка, а хълмовете - с везни?

13 W ho hath directed the Spirit of Jehovah, or being his counsellor hath taught him?

Кой е упътил Духа Господен или като съветник Негов Го е научил?

14 W ith whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding?

С кого се е съветвал Той и кой Го е вразумил и Го е научил на пътя на правосъдието, и Му е предал знание, и Му е показал пътя на разума?

15 B ehold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are accounted as the small dust of the balance: Behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

Ето, народите са като капка от ведро и изглеждат като ситен прашец на везните; ето, островите са като ситен прах, който се вдига.

16 A nd Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt-offering.

Ливан не е достатъчен за гориво, нито животните му стигат за всеизгаряне.

17 A ll the nations are as nothing before him; they are accounted by him as less than nothing, and vanity.

Всички народи са нищо пред Него, смятат се пред Него за по-малко от нищо, да! За празнота.

18 T o whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

И така, на кого ще уподобите Бога? Или какво подобие ще сравните с Него?

19 T he image, a workman hath cast it, and the goldsmith overlayeth it with gold, and casteth for it silver chains.

Кумирът ли? - Художникът го е излял и златарят го обковава със злато и лее за него сребърни верижки;

20 H e that is too impoverished for such an oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a skilful workman to set up a graven image, that shall not be moved.

който е твърде сиромах, за да принесе принос, избира негниещо дърво и търси за него изкусен художник, за да го направи непоклатим кумир!

21 H ave ye not known? have yet not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

Не знаете ли? Не сте ли чули? Не ви ли е било известено отначало? От основаването на земята не сте ли разбрали

22 I t is he that sitteth above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;

Онзи, Който седи над кръга на земята, пред Когото жителите ѝ са като скакалци, Който простира небето като завеса и го разпъва като шатър за живеене,

23 t hat bringeth princes to nothing; that maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.

Който докарва първенците до нищо и прави като суета земните съдии?

24 Y ea, they have not been planted; yea, they have not been sown; yea, their stock hath not taken root in the earth: moreover he bloweth upon them, and they wither, and the whirlwind taketh them away as stubble.

Те едва са били посадени, едва са били посети, едва се е вкоренил в земята стволът им, и Той подухва върху тях, и те изсъхват, и вихрушката ги помита като плява.

25 T o whom then will ye liken me, that I should be equal to him? saith the Holy One.

И така, на кого ще Ме уподобите, за да му бъда равен? - казва Святият.

26 L ift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these, that bringeth out their host by number; he calleth them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and for that he is strong in power, not one is lacking.

Вдигнете очите си нагоре и вижте: Кой е създал тези светила и извежда множеството им с брой? Той ги вика всичките по име; чрез величието на силата Му и понеже е мощен във власт, нито едно от тях не липсва.

27 W hy sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from Jehovah, and the justice due to me is passed away from my God?

Защо говориш, Якове, и казваш, Израелю: Пътят ми е скрит от Господа и правото ми се пренебрегва от моя Бог?

28 H ast thou not known? hast thou not heard? The everlasting God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary; there is no searching of his understanding.

Не знаеш ли? Не си ли чул, че вечният Бог Йехова, Създателят на земните краища, не отслабва и не се уморява? Неговият разум е неизследим.

29 H e giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might he increaseth strength.

Той дава сила на отслабналите и умножава мощта на немощните.

30 E ven the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Даже младите ще отслабнат и ще се уморят, и отбраните момци съвсем ще паднат;

31 b ut they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.

а онези, които чакат Господа, ще подновят силата си, ще се издигат с крила като орли, ще тичат и няма да се уморят, ще ходят и няма да отслабнат.
