1 A nd the courses of the sons of Aaron were these. The sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

2 B ut Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.

А Надав и Авиуд умряха преди баща си и нямаха синове; затова Елеазар и Итамар свещенодействаха.

3 A nd David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.

Давид заедно със Садок от Елеазаровите потомци ги разпредели според наредената за тях работа.

4 A nd there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and thus were they divided: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen, heads of fathers' houses; and of the sons of Ithamar, according to their fathers' houses, eight.

А от Елеазаровите потомци се намериха повече началници, отколкото Итамаровите потомци, и според това бяха разпределени: от Елеазаровите потомци имаше шестнадесет началници на бащини домове, а от Итамаровите потомци според бащините им домове осем началници.

5 T hus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

Разпределиха и едните, и другите с жребий; защото имаше управители на светилището и управители на Божия дом както от Елеазаровите потомци, така и от Итамаровите потомци.

6 A nd Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the priests and of the Levites; one fathers' house being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

И секретарят Семая, Натаналовият син, който беше от левитите, ги записа в присъствието на царя, на първенците, на свещеника Садок, на Ахимелех, Авиатаровия син, и на началниците на бащините домове, на свещениците и на левитите, като се вземеше един бащин дом от Елеазар и един от Итамар.

7 N ow the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

8 t he third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

9 t he fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

10 t he seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

11 t he ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

12 t he eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

13 t he thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

14 t he fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

18 t he three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah.

19 T his was the ordering of them in their service, to come into the house of Jehovah according to the ordinance given unto them by Aaron their father, as Jehovah, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

20 A nd of the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

А останалите Левиеви синове бяха: от Амрамовите потомци - Суваил; от Суваиловите синове - Ядайя;

21 O f Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief.

от Равия, от Равиевите синове - Есия, първият;

22 O f the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.

от Исахаровите синове - Селомот; от Селомотовите синове - Яат;

23 A nd the sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

а Хевронови синове - Ерия, първият; Амария - вторият; Яазиил - третият; Екамеам - четвъртият;

24 T he sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir.

от Озииловите синове - Михей; от Михеевите синове - Самир;

25 T he brother of Micah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.

Михеев брат беше Есия; от Есиевите синове - Захария;

26 T he sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; the sons of Jaaziah: Beno.

Мерариеви синове бяха: Маалий и Мусий; Яазиевият син - Вено;

27 T he sons of Merari: of Jaaziah, Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.

Мерариеви потомци чрез Яазия: Вено, Соам, Закхур и Иврий,

28 O f Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

от Маалия беше Елеазар, който нямаше синове;

29 O f Kish; the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.

30 A nd the sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers' houses.

и Мусиеви синове: Маалий, Едер и Еримот. Тези бяха Левиевите потомци според бащините им домове.

31 T hese likewise cast lots even as their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the priests and of the Levites; the fathers' houses of the chief even as those of his younger brother.

Както братята им, Аароновите потомци, така и те хвърлиха жребий в присъствието на цар Давид, на Садок, на Ахимелех и на началниците на бащините домове, на свещениците и на левитите, както за по-главните си бащини домове, така и за по-малките си братя.
