1 A nd he went out from thence; and he cometh into his own country; and his disciples follow him.

И Той излезе оттам и дойде в Своето родно място; и учениците Му вървяха след Него.

2 A nd when the sabbath was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, Whence hath this man these things? and, What is the wisdom that is given unto this man, and what mean such mighty works wrought by his hands?

И когато настана събота, започна да поучава в синагогата; и мнозина, като Го слушаха, се чудеха и казваха: Откъде има Този всичко това? И каква е тази мъдрост, която Му е дадена, и какви са тези велики дела, извършени от ръцете Му?

3 I s not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended in him.

Този не е ли дърводелецът, син на Мария и брат на Яков и Йосия, на Юда и Симон? И сестрите Му не са ли тук, между нас? И те се съблазниха в Него.

4 A nd Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

А Исус им каза: Никой пророк не е без почит освен в своята родина, между своите сродници и своя дом.

5 A nd he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

И не можеше да извърши там никакво велико дело, освен когато положи ръце на неколцина болни и ги изцели.

6 A nd he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages teaching.

И се чудеше на тяхното неверие. Исус обикаляше околните села и поучаваше. Изпращането на дванадесетте ученици

7 A nd he calleth unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits;

И като повика дванадесетте, започна да ги изпраща двама по двама и им даде власт над нечистите духове.

8 a nd he charged them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no bread, no wallet, now money in their purse;

Заповяда им да не вземат нищо за път освен една тояга; нито хляб, нито торба, нито пари в пояса;

9 b ut to go shod with sandals: and, said he, put not on two coats.

но да обуват сандали. И, каза Той, не се обличайте с две дрехи.

10 A nd he said unto them, Wheresoever ye enter into a house, there abide till ye depart thence.

И им каза: В която къща влезете, оставайте в нея, докато си тръгнете оттам.

11 A nd whatsoever place shall not receive you, and they hear you not, as ye go forth thence, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony unto them.

А ако в някое място не ви приемат, нито ви послушат, като излизате оттам, отърсете праха изпод краката си като свидетелство против тях.

12 A nd they went out, and preached that men should repent.

И те излязоха и проповядваха, че човеците трябва да се покаят.

13 A nd they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

Изгонваха много бесове и мнозина болни помазваха с елей и ги изцеляваха. Убиването на Йоан Кръстител

14 A nd king Herod heard thereof; for his name had become known: and he said, John the Baptizer is risen from the dead, and therefore do these powers work in him.

А цар Ирод чу за Исус (защото името Му стана известно) и казваше: Йоан Кръстител е възкръснал от мъртвите и затова тези велики сили действат чрез Него.

15 B ut others said, It is Elijah. And others said, It is a prophet, even as one of the prophets.

А други казваха, че е Илия. Други пък казваха, че Той е пророк като един от древните пророци.

16 B ut Herod, when he heard thereof, said, John, whom I beheaded, he is risen.

Но Ирод, като чу за Него, каза: Това е Йоан, когото аз обезглавих; той е възкръснал.

17 F or Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife; for he had married her.

Защото този Ирод беше пратил да хванат Йоан и да го вържат в тъмница заради Иродиада, жената на брат му Филип, понеже я беше взел за жена.

18 F or John said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.

Защото Йоан казваше на Ирод: Не ти е позволено да имаш братовата си жена.

19 A nd Herodias set herself against him, and desired to kill him; and she could not;

А Иродиада се настрои против него и искаше да го убие, но не можеше;

20 f or Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. And when he heard him, he was much perplexed; and he heard him gladly.

защото Ирод се боеше от Йоан, като знаеше, че той е праведен и свят човек, и го пазеше здраво; и когато го слушаше, вършеше много неща и с удоволствие го слушаше.

21 A nd when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, and the high captains, and the chief men of Galilee;

И когато дойде подходящ ден, когато Ирод за рождения си ден даде вечеря на големците си и на хилядниците, и на галилейските старейшини,

22 a nd when the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and them that sat at meat with him; and the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.

и самата дъщеря на Иродиада влезе и танцува, и угоди на Ирод и на седящите с него; и царят каза на момичето: Искай от мене каквото щеш и ще ти го дам.

23 A nd he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.

И ѝ се закле: Каквото и да поискаш от мене, ще ти дам, даже до половината от царството ми.

24 A nd she went out, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptizer.

А тя излезе и попита майка си: Какво да поискам? И тя каза: Главата на Йоан Кръстител.

25 A nd she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou forthwith give me on a platter the head of John the Baptist.

И веднага момичето влезе бързо при царя и поиска, като каза: Искам да ми дадеш още сега, на блюдо, главата на Йоан Кръстител.

26 A nd the king was exceeding sorry; but for the sake of his oaths, and of them that sat at meat, he would not reject her.

И царят се наскърби много; но пак заради клетвите си и заради седящите с него не поиска да ѝ откаже.

27 A nd straightway the king sent forth a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring his head: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

И веднага царят прати един телохранител, на когото заповяда да донесе главата му; и той отиде, обезглави го в тъмницата

28 a nd brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the damsel; and the damsel gave it to her mother.

и донесе главата му на блюдо, и я даде на момичето; а момичето я даде на майка си.

29 A nd when his disciples heard thereof, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

А учениците му, като чуха това, дойдоха и вдигнаха тялото му и го положиха в гроб. Чудото с нахранването на пет хиляди души

30 A nd the apostles gather themselves together unto Jesus; and they told him all things, whatsoever they had done, and whatsoever they had taught.

И апостолите се събраха при Исус и Му разказаха всичко, каквото бяха извършили и каквото бяха поучавали.

31 A nd he saith unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while. For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

А Той им каза: Елате вие сами на уединено място насаме и си починете малко. Защото мнозина идваха и си отиваха; и нямаха време даже да ядат.

32 A nd they went away in the boat to a desert place apart.

И отидоха с ладията на уединено място насаме.

33 A nd the people saw them going, and many knew them, and they ran together there on foot from all the cities, and outwent them.

А като отидоха, хората ги видяха и мнозина ги познаха; и от всички градове се стекоха там пеша и ги изпревариха.

34 A nd he came forth and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

И Исус, като излезе, видя едно голямо множество и се смили над тях, понеже бяха като овце, които нямат пастир; и започна да ги поучава за много неща.

35 A nd when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, The place is desert, and the day is now far spent;

И понеже беше станало вече късно, учениците Му се приближиха при Него и казаха: Мястото е уединено и вече е късно.

36 s end them away, that they may go into the country and villages round about, and buy themselves somewhat to eat.

Разпусни ги, за да отидат по околните колиби и села и да си купят нещо за ядене.

37 B ut he answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred shillings' worth of bread, and give them to eat?

А Той им отговори: Дайте им вие да ядат. А те Му казаха: Да идем ли да купим хляб за двеста пеняза и да им дадем да ядат?

38 A nd he saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

Той ги запита: Колко хляба имате? Идете и вижте. И като разбраха, казаха: Пет хляба и две риби.

39 A nd he commanded them that all should sit down by companies upon the green grass.

Исус им заповяда да насядат всички на групи по зелената трева.

40 A nd they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.

И те насядаха на редици - по сто и по петдесет.

41 A nd he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake the loaves; and he gave to the disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

След като взе петте хляба и двете риби, Исус погледна към небето и благослови. После разчупи хлябовете и даваше на учениците да слагат пред тях; раздели и двете риби на всички.

42 A nd they all ate, and were filled.

И всички ядоха и се наситиха.

43 A nd they took up broken pieces, twelve basketfuls, and also of the fishes.

И вдигнаха дванадесет пълни коша с къшеи хляб, също и от рибите.

44 A nd they that ate the loaves were five thousand men.

А онези, които ядоха хлябовете, бяха пет хиляди мъже. Исус Христос ходи по водата

45 A nd straightway he constrained his disciples to enter into the boat, and to go before him unto the other side to Bethsaida, while he himself sendeth the multitude away.

И веднага накара учениците Си да влязат в ладията и да отидат преди Него на отсрещната страна към Витсаида, докато Той разпусне народа.

46 A nd after he had taken leave of them, he departed into the mountain to pray.

След като се прости с тях, отиде на хълма да се помоли.

47 A nd when even was come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.

И като се свечери, ладията беше насред езерото, а Той - сам на сушата.

48 A nd seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary unto them, about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking on the sea; and he would have passed by them:

И като ги видя, че се мъчат, като гребат с веслата, защото им беше насрещен вятърът, около четвъртата стража на нощта дойде при тях, като вървеше по езерото; и щеше да ги отмине.

49 b ut they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;

А те, като Го видяха да ходи по езерото, помислиха си, че е призрак, и извикаха;

50 f or they all saw him, and were troubled. But he straightway spake with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

защото всички Го видяха и се смутиха. И веднага Той им проговори: Дерзайте! Аз съм, не бойте се!

51 A nd he went up unto them into the boat; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves;

И влезе при тях в ладията и вятърът утихна; и те бяха дълбоко разтърсени.

52 f or they understood not concerning the loaves, but their heart was hardened.

Защото не бяха се поучили от чудото с хлябовете, тъй като сърцето им беше закоравяло. Излекуване на болни в Генисаретските околности

53 A nd when they had crossed over, they came to the land unto Gennesaret, and moored to the shore.

И като преминаха отвъд езерото, дойдоха в Генисаретската земя и излязоха на сушата.

54 A nd when they were come out of the boat, straightway the people knew him,

А когато излязоха от ладията, хората веднага Го познаха;

55 a nd ran round about that whole region, and began to carry about on their beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.

и се разтичаха по цялата онази околност и започнаха да носят на легла болните там, където чуеха, че се намирал Той.

56 A nd wheresoever he entered, into villages, or into cities, or into the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

И където и да влизаше Исус, в села или градове, или в колиби, слагаха болните по пазарите и Му се молеха да се допрат поне до полите на дрехите Му; и колкото души се допираха, се изцеляваха.
