1 A nd after the uproar ceased, Paul having sent for the disciples and exhorted them, took leave of them, and departed to go into Macedonia.

След утихването на размирицата Павел повика учениците и като им даде наставления, прости се с тях и тръгна да отиде в Македония.

2 A nd when he had gone through those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece.

И като мина през онези места и насърчи учениците с много думи, дойде в Гърция

3 A nd when he had spent three months there, and a plot was laid against him by Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he determined to return through Macedonia.

и престоя там три месеца. И понеже юдеите направиха заговор против него, когато щеше да отплава за Сирия, той реши да се върне през Македония.

4 A nd there accompanied him as far as Asia, Sopater of Beroea, the son of Pyrrhus; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.

И го придружиха до Азия берянинът Сосипатър, син на Пир, и от солунците - Аристарх и Секунд; още и Гай от Дервия и Тимотей, а от Азия - Тихик и Трофим.

5 B ut these had gone before, and were waiting for us at Troas.

А тези бяха отишли по-напред и ни чакаха в Троада;

6 A nd we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days, where we tarried seven days.

и ние отплавахме от Филипи след дните на безквасните хлябове и за пет дни дойдохме при тях в Троада, където престояхме седем дни. Възкресяването на Евтих

7 A nd upon the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul discoursed with them, intending to depart on the morrow; and prolonged his speech until midnight.

И в първия ден на седмицата, когато бяхме събрани за разчупването на хляба, Павел беседваше с тях, понеже щеше да отпътува на сутринта; и продължи словото си до полунощ.

8 A nd there were many lights in the upper chamber where we were gathered together.

А имаше много светила в горната стая, където бяхме събрани.

9 A nd there sat in the window a certain young man named Eutychus, borne down with deep sleep; and as Paul discoursed yet longer, being borne down by his sleep he fell down from the third story, and was taken up dead.

И едно момче на име Евтих, което седеше на прозореца, беше заспало дълбоко и когато Павел беседваше още по-надълго, като потъна в сън, падна долу от третия етаж; и го вдигнаха мъртво.

10 A nd Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Make ye no ado; for his life is in him.

Но Павел слезе и като падна върху него, прегърна го и каза: Не се безпокойте, защото животът му е в него.

11 A nd when he was gone up, and had broken the bread, and eaten, and had talked with them a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

След това той се качи горе, разчупи хляба и яде, и приказва пак надълго до зори, и така тръгна.

12 A nd they brought the lad alive, and were not a little comforted.

А момчето доведоха живо и много се утешиха. Пътуването към Милит

13 B ut we going before to the ship set sail for Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, intending himself to go by land.

А ние тръгнахме по-напред за кораба и отплавахме за Асон, откъдето щяхме да приберем Павел; понеже така беше поръчал, като той щеше да отиде пеш.

14 A nd when he met us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.

И когато се присъедини към нас в Асон, взехме го и дойдохме в Митилин.

15 A nd sailing from thence, we came the following day over against Chios; and the next day we touched at Samos; and the day after we came to Miletus.

И оттам, като отплавахме на следващия ден, дойдохме срещу Хиос, а на другия - пристигнахме в Самос; и като престояхме в Трогилия на следващия ден дойдохме в Милит.

16 F or Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

Защото Павел беше решил да отмине Ефес, за да не се бави в Азия, понеже бързаше, ако му беше възможно, да стигне в Йерусалим за деня на Петдесетницата. Речта на Павел пред презвитерите в Ефес

17 A nd from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called to him the elders of the church.

А от Милит прати в Ефес да повикат църковните презвитери.

18 A nd when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, after what manner I was with you all the time,

И като дойдоха при него, им каза: Вие знаете по какъв начин още от първия ден, когато стъпих в Азия, прекарах цялото време между вас,

19 s erving the Lord with all lowliness of mind, and with tears, and with trials which befell me by the plots of the Jews;

в служене на Господа с пълно смиреномъдрие, със сълзи и сред изпитания, които ме сполетяха от заговорите на юдеите;

20 h ow I shrank not from declaring unto you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly, and from house to house,

как не се въздържах да ви изявя всичко, което е било полезно, и да ви поучавам и публично, и по къщите,

21 t estifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

като проповядвах и на юдеи, и на гърци покаяние спрямо Бога и вяра спрямо нашия Господ Исус Христос.

22 A nd now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

И ето сега, заставен духом, отивам в Йерусалим, без да зная какво ще ме сполети там,

23 s ave that the Holy Spirit testifieth unto me in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

освен че Святият Дух ми свидетелства във всеки град, като ми казва, че ме очакват окови и скърби.

24 B ut I hold not my life of any account as dear unto myself, so that I may accomplish my course, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Но не се скъпя за живота си, нито ми се свиди за него, стига само да завърша пътя си и служението, което приех от Господ Исус, да проповядвам благовестието на Божията благодат.

25 A nd now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, shall see my face no more.

И сега, ето, аз зная, че нито един от вас, между които ходих и проповядвах Божието царство, няма вече да види лицето ми.

26 W herefore I testify unto you this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

Затова ви свидетелствам в този ден, че аз съм чист от кръвта на всички;

27 F or I shrank not from declaring unto you the whole counsel of God.

защото не се въздържах да ви изявя цялата Божия воля.

28 T ake heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit hath made you bishops, to feed the church of the Lord which he purchased with his own blood.

Бъдете бдителни за себе си и за цялото стадо, в което Святият Дух ви е поставил епископи, да пасете църквата на Бога, която Той придоби със Собствената Си кръв.

29 I know that after my departing grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock;

Аз зная, че след моето заминаване ще навлязат между вас свирепи вълци, които няма да жалят стадото;

30 a nd from among your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.

и от самите вас ще се издигнат човеци, които ще говорят изопачено, за да отвличат учениците след себе си.

31 W herefore watch ye, remembering that by the space of three years I ceased not to admonish every one night and day with tears.

Затова бдете и помнете, че за три години денем и нощем не престанах да поучавам със сълзи всеки един от вас.

32 A nd now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you the inheritance among all them that are sanctified.

И сега ви препоръчвам на Бога и на словото на Неговата благодат, което може да ви назидава и да ви даде наследство между всички осветени.

33 I coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.

Не съм пожелал среброто или златото, или облеклото на никого.

34 Y e yourselves know that these hands ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.

Вие сами знаете, че тези мои ръце послужиха за моите нужди и за нуждите на онези, които бяха с мене.

35 I n all things I gave you an example, that so laboring ye ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Във всичко ви показах, че като се трудите така, трябва да помагате на немощните и да помните думите на Господ Исус, как Той е казал: По-блажено е да дава човек, отколкото да получава.

36 A nd when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down and prayed with them all.

Като изговори това, коленичи и се помоли с всички тях.

37 A nd they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck and kissed him,

И всички плакаха много; и паднаха на шията на Павел и го целуваха,

38 s orrowing most of all for the word which he had spoken, that they should behold his face no more. And they brought him on his way unto the ship.

наскърбени най-вече поради думите, които каза, че няма вече да видят лицето му. И го изпратиха до кораба.
