1 ¶ Aleph I am a man that sees affliction in the rod of his wrath.

Аз съм човек, който видях скръб от тоягата на Неговия гняв.

2 A leph He has led me and brought me into darkness, but not into light.

Той ме е водил и завел в тъмнина, а не във виделина.

3 A leph Surely he is turned against me; he turns his hand against me all the day.

Навярно против мене обръща повторно ръката Си всеки ден.

4 B eth My flesh and my skin he has made old; he has broken my bones.

Застари месата ми и кожата ми; строши костите ми.

5 B eth He has built against me and compassed me with gall and travail.

Издигна против мене укрепления; и окръжи ме с горест и труд.

6 B eth He has set me in dark places as those that are dead for ever.

Тури ме да седна в тъмнина като отдавна умрелите.

7 G imel He has hedged me about that I cannot get out; he has made my chain heavy.

Обгради ме, та да не мога да изляза; отегчи веригите ми.

8 G imel Even when I cried and shouted, he shut out my prayer.

Още и когато викам и ридая, Той отблъсва молитвата ми.

9 G imel He has enclosed my ways with hewn stone; he has made my paths crooked.

Огради с дялани камъни пътищата ми; изкриви пътеките ми.

10 D aleth He was unto me as a bear lying in wait and as a lion in secret places.

Стана ми като мечка в засада, като лъв в скришни места.

11 D aleth He has made my ways crooked and pulled me in pieces; he has made me desolate.

Отби настрана пътищата ми, и ме разкъса; направи ме пуст.

12 D aleth He has bent his bow and set me as a mark for the arrow.

Запъна лъка Си, и ме постави като прицел на стрела.

13 H e He has caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my kidneys.

Заби в бъбреците ми стрелите на тула Си.

14 H e I was a derision to all my people and their song every day.

Станах за присмех на всичките си люде, и за песен на тях цял ден.

15 H e He has filled me with bitterness, he has made me drunk with wormwood.

Насити ме с горчивини, опи ме с пелин.

16 V au He has broken my teeth with gravel stones; he has covered me with ashes.

При това, счупи зъбите ми с камъчета; покри ме с пепел.

17 V au My soul removed itself far from peace; I forgot about good.

Отблъснал си душата ми далеч от мира; забравих благоденствието.

18 V au And I said, My strength and my hope of the LORD is perished.

И рекох: Погина увереността ми и надеждата ми като отдалечена от Господа.

19 Z ain Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

Помни скръбта ми и изпъждането ми, пелина и жлъчката.

20 Z ain My soul shall have them still in remembrance because it is humbled in me.

Душата ми, като ги помни непрестанно, се е дълбоко смирила.

21 ¶ Zain This shall go down into my heart; therefore I shall wait.

Обаче това си наумявам, поради което имам и надежда;

22 C het It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed because his mercies never diminish.

Че по милост Господна ние не се довършихме, понеже не чезнат щедростите Му.

23 C het They are new every morning; great is thy faith.

Те се подновяват всяка заран; голяма е Твоята вярност.

24 C het The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore I will wait for him.

Господ е дял мой, казва душата ми; Затова, ще се надявам на Него.

25 T eth The LORD is good unto those that wait in him, to the soul that seeks him.

Благ е Господ към ония, които го чакат, към душата, която го търси.

26 T eth It is good to wait quietly in the salvation of the LORD.

Добро е да се надява някой и тихо да очаква спасението то Господа.

27 T eth It is good for the man if he bears the yoke from his youth.

Добро е за човека да носи хомот в младостта си.

28 J od He shall sit alone and keep silence because he has borne it upon him.

Нека седи насаме и мълчи, когато Господ му го наложи.

29 J od He shall put his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.

Нека тури устата си в пръстта негли има още надежда.

30 J od He shall turn his cheek unto him that smites him; he shall be filled with reproach.

Нека подаде бузата си на онзи, който го бие; нека се насити с укор.

31 C aph For the Lord will not cast off for ever:

Защото Господ не отхвърля до века.

32 C aph But though he causes grief, yet he will also have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

Понеже, ако и да наскърби, Той пак ще и да се съжали според многото Си милости.

33 C aph For he does not afflict nor grieve the sons of men from his heart.

Защото не оскърбява нито огорчава от сърце човешките чада.

34 L amed To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,

Да се тъпчат под нозе всичките затворници на света,

35 L amed To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,

Да се извраща съда на човека пред лицето на Всевишния,

36 L amed To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord does not approve.

Да се онеправдава човека в делото му, - Господ не одобрява това.

37 ¶ Mem Who shall he be that saith that something comes which the Lord has not sent?

Кой ще е онзи, който казва нещо, и то става, без да го е заповядал Господ?

38 M em Out of the mouth of the most High proceeds not evil and good?

Из устата на Всевишния не излизат ли и злото и доброто?

39 M em Why does the living man have pain, the man in his sins?

Защо би пороптал жив човек, всеки за наказанието на греховете си?

40 N un Let us search out our ways, and seek, and turn again to the LORD.

Нека издирим и изпитаме пътищата си, и нека се върнем при Господа.

41 N un Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.

Нека издигнем сърцата си и ръцете си към Бога, който е на небесата, и нека речем:

42 ¶ Nun We have rebelled and been disloyal; therefore thou hast not forgiven.

Съгрешихме и отстъпихме; Ти не си ни простил.

43 S amech Thou hast unfurled anger and persecuted us; thou hast slain, thou hast not forgiven.

Покрил си се с гняв и гонил си ни, убил си без да пощадиш.

44 S amech Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud that our prayer should not pass through.

Покрил си се с облак, за да не премине молитвата ни.

45 S amech Thou hast made us as the offscouring and abomination in the midst of the peoples.

Направил си ни като помия и смет всред племената.

46 P e All our enemies have opened their mouths upon us.

Всичките ни неприятели отвориха широко устата си против нас.

47 P e Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.

Страх и пропастта ни налетяха, запустение и разорение.

48 P e My eyes stream with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.

Водни потоци излива окото ми поради разорението на дъщерята на людете ми.

49 A in My eyes run down, and cease not, for there is no relief,

Окото ми пролива сълзи и не престава, защото няма отрада.

50 A in Until the LORD looks down, and beholds from the heavens.

Докато не се наведе Господ и не погледне от небесата.

51 A in My eyes make my soul sad because of all the daughters of my city.

Окото ми прави душата ми да ме боли поради всичките дъщери на града ми.

52 T zaddi My enemies hunted me like a bird, without cause.

Ония, които ми са неприятели без причина, ме гонят непрестанно като птиче.

53 T zaddi They bound up my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.

Отнеха живота ми в тъмницата, и хвърлиха камък върху мене.

54 T zaddi Waters flowed over my head; then I said, I am dead.

Води стигнаха над главата ми; рекох: Свърших се.

55 ¶ Koph I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon.

Призовах името Ти, Господи, от най-дълбоката тъмница.

56 K oph Thou hast heard my voice; do not hide thine ear at my cry that I might breath.

Ти чу гласа ми; не затваряй ухото Си за въздишането ми, за вопъла ми;

57 K oph Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee; thou didst say, Fear not.

Приближил си се в деня, когато Те призовах; рекъл си: Не бой се.

58 R esh O Lord, thou hast pleaded the cause of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.

Застъпил си се Господи, за делото на душата ми; изкупил си живота ми.

59 R esh O LORD, thou hast seen where I was wrong; plead thou my cause.

Видял си, Господи, онеправданието ми; отсъди делото ми.

60 R esh Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me.

Видял си всичките им отмъщения и всичките им замисли против мене.

61 S chin Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and all their imaginations against me;

Ти си чул, Господи, укоряването им и всичките им замисли против мене,

62 S chin The words of those that rose up against me, and their design against me all the day.

Думите на ония, които се подигат против мене, и кроежите им против мене цял ден.

63 S chin Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their music.

Виж, кога седят и кога стават аз им съм песен.

64 T au Render unto them a recompense, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.

Ще им въздадеш, Господи, въздаяние според делата на ръцете им;

65 T au Give them sorrow of heart; thy curse unto them.

Ще им дадеш, като клетвата Си върху тях, окаменено сърце;

66 T au Persecute them in thy anger and cut them off from under the heavens, oh LORD.

Ще ги прогониш с гняв, и ще ги изтребиш изпод небесата Господни.
