1 ¶ Job answered and said,

А Иов в отговор рече: -

2 H ow hast thou helped the one who has no power? Hast thou saved with thy arm the one who has no strength?

Каква помощ си дал ти на немощния! Как си спасил безсилната мишца!

3 H ow hast thou counselled the one that has no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

Как си съветвал оня, който няма милост! И какъв здрав разум си изсипал!

4 T o whom hast thou uttered words, and whose is the spirit that comes forth from thee?

Към кого си отправил думи? И чий дух те е вдъхновявал?

5 ¶ Dead things are formed under the waters and of its dwelling places.

Пред него мъртвите треперят Под водите и обитателите им.

6 S heol is naked before him, and hell has no covering.

Преизподнята е гола пред Него, И Авадон+ няма покрив.

7 H e stretches out the north wind over the empty place and hangs the earth upon nothing.

Простира севера върху празния простор; Окача земята на нищо.

8 H e binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

Връзва водите в облаците Си; Но облак не се продира изпод тях.

9 H e holds back the face of his throne and spreads his cloud upon it.

Покрива лицето на престола Си, Като простира облака Си върху него.

10 H e has compassed the waters with bounds until the end of light and darkness.

Обиколил е водите с граница Дори до краищата на светлината и на тъмнината.

11 T he pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

Небесните стълбове треперят И ужасяват се от смъмрянето Му.

12 H e divides the sea with his power, and by his intelligence he smites its pride.

Развълнува морето със силата Си; И с разума Си поразява Рахав

13 B y his spirit he has adorned the heavens; his hand has formed the fleeing serpent.

Чрез духа Си украсява небесата; Ръката Му пробожда бягащия змей

14 B ehold, these are parts of his ways; but how little a portion have we heard of him? For the thunder of his power, who shall understand?

Ето, тия са само краищата на пътищата Му; И колко малко шепнене ни дават да чуем за Него! А гърма на силата Му, кой може да разбере?
