1 ¶ Job answered and said,

2 H ow hast thou helped the one who has no power? Hast thou saved with thy arm the one who has no strength?

ose si e ke ndihmuar krahun pa forcë?

3 H ow hast thou counselled the one that has no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

Si e ke këshilluar atë që nuk ka dituri, dhe çfarë njohurish të mëdha i ke komunikuar?

4 T o whom hast thou uttered words, and whose is the spirit that comes forth from thee?

Kujt ia ke drejtuar fjalët e tua, dhe e kujt është fryma që ka dalë prej teje?

5 ¶ Dead things are formed under the waters and of its dwelling places.

Të vdekurit dridhen nën ujërat, dhe kështu bëjnë edhe banorët e tyre.

6 S heol is naked before him, and hell has no covering.

Para atij Sheoli është i zbuluar, Abadoni është pa vel.

7 H e stretches out the north wind over the empty place and hangs the earth upon nothing.

Ai shtrin veriun në zbrazëti dhe e mban tokën pezull mbi hiçin.

8 H e binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

I mbyll ujërat në retë e tij, por ato nuk çahen nën peshën e tyre.

9 H e holds back the face of his throne and spreads his cloud upon it.

E mbulon pamjen e fronit të tij, duke shtrirë mbi të retë e tij.

10 H e has compassed the waters with bounds until the end of light and darkness.

Ka shënuar një kufi të veçantë mbi sipërfaqen e ujërave, në kufirin e dritës me terrin.

11 T he pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

Kollonat e qiellit dridhen dhe habiten nga kërcënimi i tij.

12 H e divides the sea with his power, and by his intelligence he smites its pride.

Me forcën e tij qetëson detin, me zgjuarsinë tij ka rrëzuar Rahabin.

13 B y his spirit he has adorned the heavens; his hand has formed the fleeing serpent.

Me Frymën e tij ka zbukuruar qiejt, dora e tij ka shpuar tejpërtej gjarpërin dredharak.

14 B ehold, these are parts of his ways; but how little a portion have we heard of him? For the thunder of his power, who shall understand?

Ja, këto janë vetëm thekët e veprave të tij. Ç’murmurimë të lehtë të tij arrijmë të dëgjojmë! Por vallë kush do të arrijë të kuptojë gjëmimin e fuqisë së tij?
