1 ¶ And Israel took his journey with all that he had and came to Beersheba and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.

Izraeli, pra, u nis me të gjitha ato që kishte dhe, kur arriti në Beer-Sheba, i bëri fli Perëndisë të atit të tij Isak.

2 A nd God spoke unto Israel in visions of the night and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.

3 A nd he said, I am the God, the God of thy father; fear not to go down into Egypt; for there I will make of thee a great people.

5 ¶ And Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel took Jacob their father and their little ones and their wives in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

12 A nd the sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah and Pharez and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.

23 A nd the sons of Dan: Hushim.

24 A nd the sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.

25 T hese are the sons of Bilhah, who Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she gave birth to these unto Jacob; in all seven souls.

26 A ll the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were sixty-six;

27 a nd the sons of Joseph, who were born him in Egypt, were two souls. All the souls of the house of Jacob, who came into Egypt, were seventy.

28 ¶ And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

33 A nd it shall come to pass when Pharaoh shall call you and shall say, What is your occupation?

Kur Faraoni do t’ju thërrasë dhe do t’ju thotë: "Me ç’punë merreni?," ju do t’i përgjigjeni:

34 T hen ye shall say, Thy slaves’ trade has been about livestock from our youth even until now, both we and also our fathers, that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every pastor of sheep is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

"Shërbëtorët e tu kanë qënë rritës bagëtish nga fëmijëria e deri sot, si ne ashtu dhe etërit tanë," që të keni mundësi të banoni në vendin e Goshenit. Sepse Egjiptasit ndiejnë neveri për tërë barinjtë".
