1 ¶ Who shall believe our report? and upon whom shall the arm of the LORD be manifested?

Kush i ka besuar predikimit tonë dhe kujt iu shfaq krahu i Zotit?

2 W ith all this he shall grow up before him as a tender sprout and as a root out of a dry ground. There is no outward appearance in him, nor beauty. We shall see him, yet nothing attractive about him that we should desire him.

Ai erdhi lart para tij si një degëz, si një rrënjë nga një tokë e thatë. Nuk kishte figurë as bukuri për të tërhequr shikimin tonë, as paraqitje që ne ta dëshironim.

3 H e is despised and rejected among men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with weakness; and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

I përçmuar dhe i hedhur poshtë nga njerëzit, njeri i dhembjeve, njohës i vuajtjes, i ngjashëm me dikë para të cilit fshihet faqja, ishte përçmuar, dhe ne nuk e çmuam aspak.

4 ¶ Surely he has borne our sicknesses and suffered our pain: and we considered him stricken, smitten of God, and cast down.

Megjithatë ai mbante sëmundjet tona dhe kishte marrë përsipër dhembjet tona; por ne e konsideronim të goditur, të rrahur nga Perëndia dhe të përulur.

5 B ut he was wounded for our rebellions; he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by his stripes healing was provided for us.

Por ai u tejshpua për shkak të shkeljeve tona, u shtyp për paudhësitë tona; ndëshkimi për të cilin kemi paqen është mbi të, dhe për shkak të vurratave të tij ne jemi shëruar.

6 A ll we like sheep have become lost; we have turned each one to his own way; and the LORD transposed in him the iniquity of us all.

Ne të gjithë endeshim si dele; secili prej nesh ndiqte rrugën e vet, dhe Zoti bëri që të bjerë mbi të paudhësia e ne të gjithëve.

7 H e was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he did not open his mouth.

I keqtrajtuar dhe i përulur, nuk e hapi gojën. Si një qengj që e çojnë në thertore, si një dele e heshtur përpara atyre që i qethin nuk e hapi gojën.

8 H e was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall count his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living; for the rebellion of my people he was smitten.

U çua larg nga shtypja dhe nga gjykimi; dhe nga brezi i tij kush mendoi se ai ishte larguar nga toka e të gjallëve dhe ishte goditur për shkak të shkeljeve të popullit tim?

9 A nd he made his grave with the wicked, and his death with the rich; even though he had never done evil, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Kishin caktuar ta varrosnin bashkë me të pabesët, po kur vdiq e vunë me të pasurin, sepse nuk kishte kryer asnjë dhunë dhe nuk kishte pasur asnjë mashtrim në gojën e tij.

10 ¶ With all this the LORD chose to bruise him; subjecting him to grief. When he shall have offered his soul for atonement, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the will of the LORD shall be prospered in his hand.

Por i pëlqeu Zotit ta rrihte dhe ta bënte të vuante. Duke ofruar jetën e tij si flijim për mëkatin, ai do të shikojë pasardhës, do të zgjasë ditët e tij, dhe vullneti i Zotit do të ketë mbarësi në duart e tij.

11 H e shall see of the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied. And by his knowledge shall my righteous slave justify many, for he shall bear their iniquities.

Ai do të shikojë frytin e mundimit të shpirtit të tij dhe do të jetë i kënaqur; me anë të diturisë së tij, i drejti, shërbëtori im, do të bëjë të drejtë shumë veta, sepse do të marrë përsipër paudhësitë e tyre.

12 T herefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil unto the strong because he has poured out his soul unto death, and he was numbered with the rebellious, having born the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Prandaj do t’i jap pjesën e tij midis të mëdhenjve, dhe ai do ta ndajë plaçkën me të fuqishmit, sepse e ka përkushtuar jetën e tij deri në vdekje dhe u përfshi midis keqbërësve; ai ka mbajtur mëkatin e shumë vetave dhe ka ndërhyrë në favor të shkelësve.
