1 ¶ Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,

2 W ho is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

"Kush është ai që e errëson planin tim me fjalë që nuk kanë kuptim?

3 N ow gird up thy loins like a man; for I will enquire of thee, and answer thou me.

Mirë, pra, ngjishe brezin si një trim; unë do të të pyes dhe ti do të më përgjigjesh.

4 ¶ Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Cause me to know, if thou hast understanding.

Ku ishe kur unë hidhja themelet e tokës? Thuaje, në rast se ke aq zgjuarsi.

5 W ho ordered its dimensions, if thou knowest? Or who has stretched the line upon it?

Kush ka vendosur përmasat e saj, në rast se e di, ose kush ka vënë mbi të litarin për ta matur?

6 U pon what are its foundations founded? Or who laid its corner stone;

Ku janë vendosur themelet e saj, ose kush ia vuri gurin qoshes,

7 w hen the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

kur yjet e mëngjesit këndonin të gjithë së bashku dhe tërë bijtë e Perëndisë lëshonin britma gëzimi?

8 O r who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?

Kush e mbylli me porta detin kur shpërtheu duke dalë nga gjiri i nënës,

9 W hen I made the clouds its garment and thick darkness a swaddling band for it,

kur i dhashë retë për rroba dhe terrin për pelena?

10 a nd established my decree upon it, and set bars and doors,

Kur i caktova një kufi dhe i vendosa shufra hekuri dhe porta,

11 a nd said, Thou shalt come unto here, but no further; and there shall the pride of thy waves be stayed.

dhe thashë: "Ti do të arrish deri këtu, por jo më tutje; këtu do të ndalen valët e tua krenare!"?

12 ¶ Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days? Hast thou shown the dayspring its place,

Që kur se ti jeton a ke dhënë urdhra në mëngjes ose i ke treguar vendin agimit,

13 t hat it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

që ai të kapë skajet e tokës dhe të tronditë njerëzit e këqij?

14 I t is transformed as clay to the seal and then stands as a garment;

Ndërron trajtë si argjila nën vulë dhe shquhet si një veshje.

15 b ut the light of the wicked is taken from them, and the high arm is broken.

Njerëzve të këqij u mohohet drita dhe krahu i ngritur u copëtohet.

16 H ast thou entered into the springs of the sea? Or hast thou walked searching out the deep?

A ke arritur vallë deri në burimet e detit ose a ke vajtur vallë në kërkim të thellësirave të humnerës?

17 H ave the gates of death been opened unto thee? Or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?

Të janë treguar portat e vdekjes, apo ke parë vallë portat e hijes së vdekjes?

18 H ast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? Declare if thou knowest it all.

A e ke vënë re gjerësinë e tokës. Thuaje, në rast se i di të gjitha këto!

19 W here is the way to the habitation of the light, and where is the place of the darkness?

Ku është rruga që të çon në banesën e dritës? Dhe terri, ku është vendi i tij,

20 I f thou shalt take it in its borders, and if thou should understand the paths to its house?

që ti të mund t’i çosh në vendin e tij, dhe të mund të njohësh shtigjet që të çojnë në shtëpinë e tij?

21 I f thou didst know when thou wast to be born or if the number of thy days was to be great?

Ti e di, sepse atëherë kishe lindur, dhe numri i ditëve të tua është i madh.

22 H ast thou entered into the treasures of the snow, and hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

Vallë, a ke hyrë ndonjë herë në depozitat e borës ose a ke parë vallë depozitat e breshërit

23 w hich I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

që unë i mbaj në ruajtje për kohërat e fatkeqësive, për ditën e betejës dhe të luftës?

24 B y what way is the light divided; from where is the east wind scattered upon the earth?

Nëpër çfarë rruge përhapet drita ose përhapet era e lindjes mbi tokë?

25 ¶ Who has divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters or a way for the lightning of thunder,

Kush ka hapur një kanal për ujërat që vërshojnë dhe rrugën për bubullimën e rrufeve,

26 t o cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, in which there is no man;

që të bjerë shi mbi tokë të pabanuar, mbi një shkretëtirë, ku nuk ka asnjë njeri,

27 t o satisfy the desolate and waste ground and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

për të shuar etjen e shkretëtirave të mjeruara, për të bërë që të mbijë dhe të rritet bari?

28 H as the rain a father? Or who has begotten the drops of the dew?

Shiu, vallë, a ka një baba? Ose kush i prodhon pikat e vesës?

29 O ut of whose womb came the ice, and the hoary frost of heaven, who has begotten it?

Nga gjiri i kujt del akulli dhe kush e krijon brymën e qiellit?

30 T he waters harden as stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

Ujërat ngurtësohen si guri dhe sipërfaqja e humnerës ngrin.

31 C anst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?

A mund t’i bashkosh ti lidhjet e Plejadave, apo të zgjidhësh vargjet e Orionit?

32 C anst thou bring forth the signs of the heavens in their season, or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?

A i bën ti të duken yllësitë në kohën e tyre, apo e drejton ti Arushën e Madhe me të vegjlit e saj?

33 D ost thou know the ordinances of the heavens? Canst thou use its power in the earth?

A i njeh ti ligjet e qiellit, ose a mund të vendosësh ti sundimin e tyre mbi tokë?

34 C anst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?

A mund ta çosh zërin tënd deri në retë me qëllim që të mbulohesh nga shiu i bollshëm?

35 C anst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are?

Mos je ti ai që hedh rrufetë atje ku duhet të shkojnë, duke thënë: "Ja ku jam?".

36 W ho put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who gave intelligence to understanding?

Kush e ka vënë diturinë në mendje, ose kush i ka dhënë gjykim zemrës?

37 W ho declared the heavens in wisdom? Or who can stay the bottles of heaven

Kush numëron retë me anë të diturisë, dhe kush derdh shakujt e qiellit

38 w hen the dust hardens and the clods cleave fast together?

kur pluhuri shkrihet në një masë dhe plisat bashkohen midis tyre?

39 W ilt thou hunt the prey for the lion or fill the appetite of the young lions,

A mund ta gjuash ti gjahun për luaneshën apo të ngopësh të vegjlit e uritur të luanit,

40 w hen they crouch in their dens and abide in their lairs to lie in wait?

kur struken në strofkat e tyre apo rrinë në pritë në strukën e tyre?

41 W ho provided food for the raven; when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of food?

Kush i siguron korbit ushqimin e tij, kur zogjtë e tij i thërrasin Perëndisë dhe enden pa ushqim?
