The share of land for the family group of the people of Judah by their families was south to the land of Edom. It went to the Desert of Zin at the far south.

2 K ufiri i tyre jugor fillonte në skajin e Detit të Kripur, nga kepi që drejtohet në jug,

The south side of their land was from the south end of the Salt Sea.

3 d he zgjatej në jug në drejtim të të përpjetës së Akrabimit, kalonte nëpër Tsin, pastaj ngjitej në drejtim të Adarit dhe kthente nga ana e Karkaas;

It went south of the hill of Akrabbim and on to Zin. Then it went up by the south of Kadesh-barnea and on to Hezron and Addar and turned to Karka.

4 k alonte pastaj nga Atsmoni dhe vazhdonte deri në përruan e Egjiptit, dhe mbaronte në det. "Ky do të jetë," tha Jozueu, "kufiri juaj në jug".

It went on to Azmon and the river of Egypt and ended at the sea. This was the south side of their land.

5 K ufiri në lindje ishte Deti i Kripur deri në grykëderdhjen e Jordanit. Kufiri verior fillonte me mëngën e detit pranë grykëderdhjes së Jordanit;

The east side was the Salt Sea, as far as the end of the Jordan. The north side was from the part of the sea at the end of the Jordan.

6 p astaj kufiri ngjitej në drejtim të Beth-Oglahut, kalonte në veri të Beth-Arabahut dhe ngjitej deri në gurin e Bohanit, birit të Rubenit.

It went up to Beth-hoglah, passed north of Beth-arabah, and went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.

7 P astaj nga Lugina e Akorit kufiri ngjitej në Debir, kthehej prapa në veri në drejtim të Gilgalit, që ndodhet përballë së përpjetës të Adumumit, në jug të luginës; pastaj kufiri kalonte në ujërat e En-Shemeshit dhe mbaronte në En-Roguel.

It went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, then turned north to Gilgal beside the hill of Adummim which is on the south side of the valley. It went on to the waters of En-shemesh, and ended at Enrogel.

8 K ufiri pas kësaj ngjitej nëpër luginën e birit të Hinonit deri te shpatet jugore të qytetit të Jebusejve (që është Jeruzalemi). Pastaj kufiri ngjitej deri në majën e malit që ndodhet përballë luginës së Hinomit në perëndim, që mbetet në skajin e luginës të Refaimit në veri.

Then the side of their land went up the valley of Ben-Hinnom to the hill of the Jebusite on the south (that is, Jerusalem). It went on to the top of the mountain beside the valley of Hinnom on the west, at the north end of the valley of Rephaim.

9 N ga maja e malit kufiri shtrihej deri në burimin e ujërave të Neftoahut, vazhdonte në drejtim të qyteteve të malit Efron dhe pastaj kthente deri në Baalah, që është Kirjath-Jearimi.

The side of their land then went from the top of the mountain to the well of the waters of Nephtoah. It went on to the cities of Mount Ephron, then turned to Baalah (that is, Kiriath-jearim).

10 N ga Baalahu kufiri kthente pastaj në perëndim të malit Seir, kalonte mbi faqen veriore të malit Jearim (që është Kesaloni), zbriste në Beth-Shemesh dhe kalonte nëpër Timah.

The side of their land went around west of Baalah to Mount Seir. It went on to the north side of Mount Jearim (that is, Chesalon), then down to Beth-shemesh and on through Timnah.

11 P astaj kufiri arrinte anën veriore të Ekronit, kthente nga Shikroni, kalonte nëpër malin e Baalahut, shtrihej deri në Jabneel dhe mbaronte në det.

The side of their land went on to the north side of Ekron. Then it turned to Shikkeron and went on to Mount Baalah and on to Jabneel, and ended at the sea.

12 K ufiri në perëndim ishte Deti i Madh. Këta ishin rreth e qark kufijtë e bijve të Judës simbas familjeve të tyre.

The west side of their land was along the side of the Great Sea. These are the sides of the land of the people of Judah by their families.

13 K alebit, birit të Jefunehut, Jozueu i dha një pjesë në mes të bijve të Judës, ashtu siç e kishte porositur Zoti; Kirjath-Arba, që është Hebroni (Arba ishte ati i Anakut).

Joshua gave Caleb son of Jephunneh a share among the people of Judah, as the Lord told him. It was Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), named for Arba, the father of Anak.

14 D he Kalebi dëboi që andej tre djemtë e Anakut, Sheshain, Ahimanin dhe Talmain, pasardhës të Anakut;

Caleb drove away from there the three sons of Anak. The children of Anak were Sheshai, Ahiman and Talmai.

15 Q ë këtej ai u ngrit kundër banorëve të Debirit (që më parë quhej Kirjath-Sefer).

From there he went to fight against the people of Debir. The name of Debir had been Kiriath-sepher before.

16 D he Kalebi tha: "Atij që do të sulmojë Kirjath-Seferin dhe do ta shtjerë në dorë, unë do t’i jap për grua vajzën time Aksah".

Caleb said, “I will give my daughter Achsah as a wife to the one who fights against Kiriath-sepher and takes it.”

17 A tëherë Othnieli, bir i Kenazit, vëllai i Kalebit, e shtiu në dorë, dhe Kalebi i dha për grua bijën e tij Aksah.

Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s brother, took it. So Caleb gave him his daughter Achsah as a wife.

18 K ur ajo erdhi të banojë me të, i mbushi mendjen Othnielit t’i kërkonte atit të saj një fushë. Atëherë ajo zbriti nga gomari dhe Kalebi i tha: Çfarë do??".

When she came to Othniel, she talked him into asking her father for a field. When she got down off her donkey, Caleb said to her, “What do you want?”

19 A jo iu përgjigj: "Më bëj një dhuratë; mbasi më ke dhënë tokë në Negev, më jep edhe burime ujore". Kështu ai i dhuroi burimet e sipërme dhe burimet e poshtme.

Achsah answered, “Give me a gift. You have given me the land of the Negev. Give me wells of water also.” So Caleb gave her the wells in the high-land and in the valley.

20 K jo qe trashëgimia e fisit të bijve të Judës, simbas familjeve të tyre;

This is the land given to the family group of the people of Judah for their families.

There were Ashdod with its towns and villages, and Gaza with its towns and villages, as far as the river of Egypt and the side of the Great Sea.

In the hill country there were Shamir, Jattir, Socoh,

And there were Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah, two cities with the towns around them.

In the desert there were Betharabah, Middin, Secacah,

62 N ibshani, qyteti i kripës dhe Engedi: gjashtë qytete me fshatrat e tyre.

Nibshan, the City of Salt, and Engedi, six cities with the towns around them.

63 P ërsa u përket Jebusejve që banonin në Jeruzalem, bijtë e Judës nuk mundën t’i dëbojnë; kështu që Jebusejtë kanë banuar në Jeruzalem bashkë me bijtë e Judës deri në ditën e sotme.

But the sons of Judah could not drive out the Jebusites, the people of Jerusalem. So the Jebusites live with the people of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.
