1 N dërkaq Sauli, duke shfryrë akoma kërcënime dhe kërdi kundër dishepujve të Zotit, shkoi te kryeprifti,

Saul was still talking much about how he would like to kill the followers of the Lord. He went to the head religious leader.

2 d he kërkoi nga ai letra për sinagogat e Damaskut, me qëllim që, po të gjente ndonjë ithtar të Udhës, burra o gra, të mund t’i sillte të lidhur në Jeruzalem.

He asked for letters to be written to the Jewish places of worship in the city of Damascus. The letters were to say that if he found any men or women following the Way of Christ he might bring them to Jerusalem in chains.

3 P or ndodhi që, ndërsa po udhëtonte dhe po i afrohej Damaskut, befas rreth tij vetëtiu një dritë nga qielli.

He went on his way until he came near Damascus. All at once he saw a light from heaven shining around him.

4 D he, si u rrëzua përtokë, dëgjoi një zë që i thoshte: “Saul, Saul, përse më përndjek?.”

He fell to the ground. Then he heard a voice say, “Saul, Saul, why are you working so hard against Me?”

5 D he ai tha: “Kush je, Zot?.” Dhe Zoti tha: “Unë jam Jezusi, që ti e përndjek; është e rëndë për ty të godasësh me shkelm kundër gjembave.”

Saul answered, “Who are You, Lord?” He said, “I am Jesus, the One Whom you are working against. You hurt yourself by trying to hurt Me.”

6 A tëherë ai, duke u dridhur i tëri dhe i trembur, tha: “Zot, ç’don ti të bëj unë?.” Dhe Zoti: “Çohu dhe hyr në qytet, dhe do të të thuhet ç’duhet të bësh.”

Saul was shaken and surprised. Then he said, “What do You want me to do, Lord?” The Lord said to him, “Get up! Go into the city and you will be told what to do.”

7 D he njerëzit që udhëtonin me të ndaluan të habitur, sepse dëgjonin tingullin e zërit, por nuk shikonin njeri.

Those with Saul were not able to say anything. They heard a voice but saw no one.

8 P astaj Sauli u çua nga toka, por, kur i çeli sytë, nuk shihte asnjeri; atëherë e morën për dore dhe e çuan në Damask.

Saul got up from the ground. When he opened his eyes, he saw nothing. They took him by the hand and led him to Damascus.

9 D he mbeti tri ditë pa të parit, as hëngri as piu.

He could not see for three days. During that time he did not eat or drink.

10 N ë Damask ishte një dishepull me emër Anania, të cilit Zoti i tha në vegim: “Anania!.” Dhe ai u përgjigj: “Ja ku jam, Zot!.”

In Damascus there was a follower by the name of Ananias. The Lord showed him in a dream what He wanted him to see. He said, “Ananias!” And Ananias answered, “Yes, Lord, I am here.”

11 D he Zoti i tha: “Çohu dhe shko në rrugën e quajtur E drejtë, dhe kërko në shtëpinë e Judës një njeri nga Tarsi me emër Saul, i cili po lutet;

The Lord said, “Get up! Go over to Straight Street to Judas’ house and ask for a man from the city of Tarsus. His name is Saul. You will find him praying there.

12 a i ka parë në vegim një njeri, me emër Anania, duke hyrë dhe duke i vënë duart për t’ia kthyer dritën e syve.”

Saul has seen a man called Ananias in a dream. He is to come and put his hands on Saul so he might see again.”

13 A tëherë Anania u përgjigj: “O Zot, nga shumë veta kam dëgjuar për këtë njeri se sa të këqija u ka bërë shenjtorëve të tu në Jeruzalem.

Ananias said, “But Lord, many people have told me about this man. He is the reason many of Your followers in Jerusalem have had to suffer much.

14 D he ai ka këtu një autorizim nga krerët e priftërinjve për të burgosur të gjithë ata që thërrasin emrin tënd.”

He came here with the right and the power from the head religious leaders to put everyone in chains who call on Your name.”

15 P or Zoti i tha: “Shko, sepse ai është vegla që unë kam zgjedhur për ta sjellë emrin tim përpara johebrenjve, mbretërve dhe bijve të Izraelit.

The Lord said to him, “Go! This man is the one I have chosen to carry My name among the people who are not Jews and to their kings and to Jews.

16 S epse unë do t’i tregoj atij sa shumë i duhet të vuajë për emrin tim.”

I will show him how much he will have to suffer because of Me.” Saul Is Baptized

17 A tëherë Anania shkoi dhe hyri në atë shtëpi; dhe, duke i vënë duart, tha: “Vëlla Saul, Zoti Jezus, që të është shfaqur në rrugën nëpër të cilën ti po vije, më ka dërguar që të kesh përsëri dritën e syve dhe të mbushesh me Frymën e Shenjtë.”

So Ananias went to that house. He put his hands on Saul and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus has sent me to you. You saw the Lord along the road as you came here. The Lord has sent me so you might be able to see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

18 N ë këtë çast i ranë nga sytë disa si luspa, dhe ai fitoi përsëri të parit; pastaj u ngrit dhe u pagëzua.

At once something like a covering fell from the eyes of Saul and he could see. He got up and was baptized.

19 D he, mbasi mori ushqim, ai u ripërtëri në forcë. Pastaj Sauli qëndroi disa ditë me dishepujt që ishin në Damask.

After that he ate some food and received strength. For some days he stayed with the followers in Damascus. Saul Preaches the Good News

20 D he filloi menjëherë të predikojë Krishtin në sinagoga se ai është Biri i Perëndisë.

At once Saul began to preach in the Jewish places of worship that Jesus is the Son of God.

21 D he të gjithë ata që e dëgjonin çuditeshin dhe thoshnin: “Po a nuk është ky ai që në Jeruzalem përndiqte të gjithë ata që e thërrisnin këtë emër, dhe ka ardhur këtu me synim që t’i çojë si robër te krerët e priftërinjve?.”

All who heard him were surprised and wondered. They said, “This is the man who beat and killed the followers in Jerusalem. He came here to tie the followers in chains and take them to the head religious leaders.”

22 P or Sauli bëhej gjithnjë e më i fortë dhe i hutonte Judenjtë që banonin në Damask, duke ua vërtetuar se Jezusi është Krishti.

But Saul kept on growing in power. The Jews living in Damascus wondered about Saul’s preaching. He was proving that Jesus was the Christ.

23 P as shumë ditësh, Judenjtë u konsultuan bashkë që ta vrasin.

After some days the Jews talked together and made plans how they might kill Saul.

24 P or komploti i tyre u mor vesh nga Sauli. Dhe ditë e natë ata i ruanin portat e qytetit që të mund ta vrisnin;

He heard of their plans. Day and night they watched for him at the city gates to kill him.

25 a tëherë dishepujt e morën natën dhe e zbritën poshtë nga muri, në një shportë.

So the followers helped him get away at night. They let him down over the wall in a basket. Saul Comes to Jerusalem

26 S i arriti në Jeruzalem, Sauli u përpoq të bashkohej me dishepujt, por të gjithë kishin frikë nga ai, sepse nuk mund të besonin se ai ishte dishepull.

When Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join the followers. But they were afraid of him. They did not believe he was a true follower of Jesus.

27 A tëherë Barnaba e mori dhe e çoi tek apostujt, dhe u tregoi se si ai, gjatë udhëtimit, e kishte parë Zotin që i kishte folur, dhe si kishte folur në Damask lirshëm në emër të Jezusit.

Then Barnabas took him to the missionaries. He told them that Saul had seen the Lord on the road. He told them also how the Lord had spoken to Saul and how he had preached without fear in Damascus in the name of Jesus.

28 K ështu ai qëndroi me ta në Jeruzalem, dhe shkonte e vinte, dhe fliste lirshëm në emër të Zotit Jezus.

After that he was with them going in and out of Jerusalem.

29 A i u fliste dhe diskutonte me helenistët, por ata kërkonin ta vrisnin.

He preached without fear in the name of the Lord. He talked and argued with the Jews who spoke the Greek language. They kept trying to kill him.

30 P or vëllezërit, kur e morën vesh, e çuan në Cezare dhe që andej e nisën për në Tars.

When the followers heard this, they took him down to the city of Caesarea. From there they sent him to the city of Tarsus.

31 K ështu në mbarë Judenë, në Galile dhe në Samari kishat kishin paqe dhe ndërtoheshin. Dhe duke ecur në druajtjen e Zotit dhe në ngushëllimin e Frymës së Shenjtë, shumoheshin.

Then the church through all the countries of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace for awhile. The church was made strong and it was given comfort by the Holy Spirit. It honored the Lord. More people were added to the church. Aeneas Is Healed

32 P or ndodhi që, ndërsa Pjetri po e përshkonte gjithë vendin, erdhi edhe te shenjtorët që banonin në Lida.

When Peter was visiting all parts of the country, he came to the faithful followers who were living in the city of Lydda.

33 A ty ai gjeti një njeri me emër Enea, i cili tashmë prej tetë vjetësh dergjej në shtrat, sepse ishte i paralizuar.

A man there named Aeneas could not move his body. He had been in bed eight years.

34 P jetri i tha: “Enea, Jezusi, Krishti, të shëron; çohu dhe ndreqe shtratin.” Dhe ai u ngrit menjëherë.

Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and roll up your bed.” He got up at once.

35 D he të gjithë banorët e Lidës dhe të Saronit e panë dhe u kthyen te Zoti.

All the people who lived in Lydda and in the city of Sharon saw Aeneas and they turned to the Lord. Dorcas Is Raised from the Dead

36 P or në Jopë ishte një dishepull me emër Tabitha, që do të thotë Gazelë; ajo bënte shumë vepra të mira dhe jepte shumë lëmoshë.

A woman who was a follower lived in the city of Joppa. Her name was Tabitha, or Dorcas. She did many good things and many acts of kindness.

37 P or në ato ditë ndodhi që ajo u sëmur dhe vdiq. Pasi e lanë, e vunë në një dhomë në katin e sipërm.

One day she became sick and died. After they had washed her body, they laid her in a room on the second floor.

38 D he, duke qenë se Lida është afër Jopës, dishepujt, kur morën vesh se Pjetri ndodhej atje, i dërguan dy burra që ta lutnin të vijë tek ata pa vonesë.

The city of Lydda was near Joppa. The followers heard that Peter was at Lydda and sent two men to ask him to come at once.

39 A tëherë Pjetri u ngrit dhe u nis bashkë me ta. Sapo arriti, e çuan në dhomën lart; të gjitha gratë e veja i dolën atij duke qarë dhe i treguan tunikat dhe veshjet që kishte punuar Gazela, sa ishte bashkë me to.

Peter went back with them. When he came, they took him to the room. All the women whose husbands had died were standing around crying. They were showing the clothes Dorcas had made while she was with them.

40 A tëherë Pjetri, mbasi i nxori jashtë të gjithë, u ngjunjëzua dhe u lut. Pastaj iu kthye trupit dhe tha: “Tabitha, çohu!.” Dhe ajo i hapi sytë dhe, si pa Pjetrin, u ngrit ndenjur.

Peter made them all leave the room. Then he got down on his knees and prayed. He turned to her body and said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes and looked at Peter and sat up.

41 A i i dha dorën dhe e ndihmoi të ngrihet; dhe, si thirri shenjtorët dhe gratë e veja, ua tregoi të gjallë.

He took her by the hand and lifted her up. Then he called in the faithful followers and the women whose husbands had died. He gave her to them, a living person.

42 K jo u muar vesh në mbarë Jopën, dhe shumë veta besuan në Zotin.

News of this went through all Joppa. Many people put their trust in the Lord.

43 D he Pjetri qëndroi disa ditë në Jopë, në shtëpinë e njëfarë Simoni, regjës lëkurësh.

After this, Peter stayed in Joppa many days in the house of Simon who worked with leather.
