1 P rofecia kundër Luginës së Vegimit. Çfarë ke ti tani që ke hipur e tëra mbi çatitë,

The special word about the Valley of Visions: What is wrong, that you have all gone up to the house tops,

2 t i që je plot me britma, qytet zhurmëmadh, qytet dëfrimesh? Të vrarët e tu nuk janë vrarë nga shpata as kanë vdekur në betejë.

you who were full of noise, you loud town, you joy-filled city? Your dead were not killed with the sword. They did not die in battle.

3 T ërë krerët e tu kanë ikur bashkë, janë zënë robër pa hark; tërë ata që u gjetën te ti u zunë robër, megjithëse kishin ikur larg.

All your rulers have run away together, and were taken without using the bow. All of you who were found were taken away together, even though you had run far away.

4 P randaj them: "Largoni shikimin nga unë; unë do të qaj me hidhërim. Mos kërkoni të më ngushëlloni për dëshpërimin e bijës së popullit tim".

So I said, “Turn your eyes away from me. Let me cry with much sorrow. Do not try to comfort me about my people being destroyed.”

5 S epse është një ditë lemerie, shkatërrimi dhe ngurimi nga ana e ZOTIT, të Zotit të ushtrive; në Luginën e Vegimeve muret janë shembur dhe britma për ndihmë arrin deri në mal.

For the Lord God of All has a day of fear, crushing down, and trouble in the Valley of Vision. There is a breaking down of walls and a crying out to the mountain.

6 E lami ka marrë kukurën me qerre njerëzish dhe kalorësish. Kiri ka zbuluar mburojën.

Elam took up the arrows with the war-wagons, soldiers and horsemen. And Kir let the battle-covering be seen.

7 D o të ndodhë që luginat e tua më të mira do të jenë plot me qerre dhe kalorësit do të zënë pozicion para portave të tua.

Your best valleys were full of war-wagons, and the horsemen took their places at the gate.

8 P astaj ai hoqi mbrojtjen e Judës dhe po atë ditë ti e hodhe shikimin mbi arsenalin e pallatit të Pyllit.

Then God took away the safe-covering of Judah. In that day you trusted in the objects you had to fight with that were stored in the house among the trees.

9 K eni parë gjithashtu sa të shumta ishin të çarat në muret e qytetit të Davidit, dhe keni mbledhur ujërat e hauzit të poshtëm.

You saw that there were many broken places in the wall of the city of David. You stored water in the lower pool.

10 K eni numëruar shtëpitë e Jeruzalemit dhe keni shembur shtëpi për të fortifikuar muret.

Then you numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and tore down houses to make the wall stronger.

11 P ërveç kësaj keni ndërtuar një rezervuar midis dy mureve për ujërat e hauzit të vjetër, por nuk keni parë se kush e ka bërë këtë, as nuk keni marrë parasysh kush e ka menduar këtë prej një kohe të gjatë.

You made a place to store water between the two walls for the waters of the old pool. But you did not trust in God Who made it. You did not think about Him Who planned it long ago.

12 A të ditë Zoti, Zoti i ushtrive, ju thirri që të qani, të mbani zi, të rruani kokën dhe të mbështilleni me thasë.

So in that day the Lord God of All called you to cry in sorrow, to cut off the hair from your head, and to wear cloth made from hair.

13 P o përkundrazi ja, gëzim dhe hare, priten qe dhe theren dele, hahet mish dhe pihet verë. "Të hamë dhe të pimë, se nesër do të vdesim!".

But instead, there is joy and happiness, killing of cattle and sheep, eating of meat, and drinking of wine. You say, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”

14 P or Zoti i ushtrive u ka thënë veshëve të mi: "Ky mëkati juaj nuk do të shlyhet deri sa ju të vdisni," thotë Zoti, Zoti i ushtrive.

But the Lord of All has made Himself known to me. The Lord God of All says, “For sure you will not be forgiven for this sin until you die.” Word about Shebna

15 K ështu thotë Zoti, Zoti i ushtrive: "Shko pra te ky administrator, te Shebna, kryekujdestar, dhe i thuaj:

The Lord God of All says, “Come, go to this person in Shebna who is taking care of the king’s house. Say to him,

16 " Çfarë zotëron ti këtu dhe cilin ke këtu, që ke bërë të të gërmojnë këtu një varr, ashtu si ai që gërmon për vete një vendvarrim lart dhe pret në shkëmb një varr?".

‘What right do you have here? Who told you that you could cut out a grave for yourself here? You cut out a grave on a high place! You cut a resting place for yourself in the rock!

17 J a, Zoti po të flak me dhunë, o njeri i fuqishëm, dhe do të të kapë mirë.

See, the Lord will throw you away without pity, O you strong man. He will take a strong hold of you

18 D o të të rrukullisë mirë e mirë dhe do të të hedhë si një top në një vend të gjerë. Aty do të vdesësh dhe do të mbarojnë qerret e tua krenare, o turp i shtëpisë së zotit tënd.

and roll you up like a ball to be thrown into a wide land. There you will die, and there your great war-wagons will be. You are a shame to your king’s house.’

19 D o të të dëbojë nga zyra jote dhe do të tërhiqesh poshtë nga posti yt!

I will throw you out of your place of power. I will take you down from your place.

20 A të ditë do të ndodhë që të thëras shërbëtorin tim Eliakim, birin e Hilkiahut;

In that day I will call My servant Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah.

21 d o ta vesh me tunikën tënde, do t’i vë brezin tënd dhe do ta kaloj pushtetin tënd në duart e tij, dhe ai do të jetë një atë për banorët e Jeruzalemit dhe për shtëpinë e Judës.

I will clothe him with your coat, and tie your belt around him. I will give him the power you had. He will become a father to the people of Jerusalem and to the family of Judah.

22 D o të vë mbi supin e tij çelësin e shtëpisë së Davidit; kështu ai do të hapë dhe askush nuk do të mund ta mbyllë, do ta mbyllë dhe askush nuk do ta mund ta hapë.

Then I will put on his shoulder the rule of the family of David. What he opens, no one will shut. What he shuts, no one will open.

23 D o ta ngul si një gozhdë në një vend të sigurt, dhe ai do të bëhet një fron lavdie për shtëpinë e atit të tij.

I will drive him like a nail in a hard place. He will become a throne of honor to his father’s house.

24 N ga ai do të varet tërë lavdia e shtëpisë së atit të tij, trashëgimtarët dhe degët anësorë, të gjitha enët edhe ato më të vogla, që nga kupat e e deri te shtambët e çdo lloji.

So they will put on him all the honor of his father’s house, and of his children, and every little dish, from the cups to all the jars.

25 " Atë ditë, thotë Zoti i ushtrive, gozhda e ngulur në vend të sigurt do të hiqet, do të shkulet poshtë dhe do të bjerë; dhe gjithë pesha që mbante do të shkatërrohet, sepse Zoti ka folur".

“In that day,” says the Lord of All, “the nail driven in a hard place will give way. It will break off and fall, and the load hanging on it will be cut off. For the Lord has spoken.”
