1 U në kam pritur me ngulm dhe me durim Zotin, dhe ai u përkul mbi mua dhe dëgjoi britmën time.

I did not give up waiting for the Lord. And He turned to me and heard my cry.

2 M ë nxorri jashtë një grope shkatërrimi, nga balta e moçalit, i vendosi këmbët e mia mbi një shkëmb dhe i ka bërë të qëndrueshme hapat e mia.

He brought me up out of the hole of danger, out of the mud and clay. He set my feet on a rock, making my feet sure.

3 A i vuri në gojën time një kantik të ri për të lëvduar Perëndinë tonë; shumë njerëz kanë për ta parë këtë, do të dridhen dhe do t’i besojnë Zotit.

He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and will put their trust in the Lord.

4 L um ai njeri që i beson Zotit dhe nuk u drejtohet krenarëve dhe as atyre që marrin rrugë të keqe duke u dhënë pas gënjeshtrës.

How happy is the man who has made the Lord his trust, and has not turned to the proud or to the followers of lies.

5 O Zot, Perëndia im, të shumta janë mrekullitë që ke bërë, dhe askush nuk mund të numërojë gjërat që ke menduar për ne. Po të duhej t’i shpallja dhe t’i tregoja, do të ishin tepër për t’i radhitur.

O Lord my God, many are the great works You have done, and Your thoughts toward us. No one can compare with You! If I were to speak and tell of them, there would be too many to number.

6 T i nuk kënaqesh as me flijime as me oferta; më ke shpuar veshët. Ti nuk ke kërkuar as olokauste as flijime për mëkatin.

You have not wanted gifts given on the altar in worship. You have opened my ears. You have not wanted burnt gifts or gifts to cover sins.

7 A tëherë unë thashë: "Ja, po vij. Në rrotullin e librit shkruhet për mua.

Then I said, “Look, I have come. It is written about me in the book.

8 P erëndia im, unë gëzohem kur zbatoj vullnetin tënd dhe ligji yt është në zemrën time".

I am happy to do Your will, O my God. Your Law is within my heart.”

9 E shpalla drejtësinë tënde në kuvendin e madh; ja, unë nuk i mbaj buzët të mbyllura, o Zot, ti e di këtë.

I have told the good news about what is right and good in the big meeting with many people. You know I will not close my lips, O Lord.

10 N uk e kam fshehur drejtësinë tënde në zemrën time; kam shpallur besnikërinë tënde dhe shpëtimin tënd; nuk e kam fshehur mirësinë tënde as të vërtetën tënde para kuvendit të madh.

I have not hidden what is right and good with You in my heart. I have spoken about how faithful You are and about Your saving power. I have not hidden Your loving-kindness and Your truth from the big meeting.

11 M os më moho, o Zot, mëshirën zemërbutë; mirësia jote dhe e vërteta jote më mbrofshin gjithnjë.

O Lord, You will not keep Your loving-pity from me. Your loving-kindness and Your truth will always keep me safe.

12 S epse të këqija të panumërta më rrethojnë; paudhësitë e mia më kanë zënë dhe nuk mund të shikoj; janë më të shumta se flokët e kokës sime, dhe zemra po më ligështohet.

Too many troubles gather around me. My sins have taken such a hold on me that I am not able to see. There are more of them than there are hairs on my head. And the strength of my heart has left me.

13 P rano, o Zot, të më çlirosh. O Zot, nxito të më ndihmosh.

Be pleased to save me, O Lord. Hurry, O Lord, to help me.

14 U turpërofshin dhe u pështjellofshin ata që duan të shkatërrojnë jetën time. Rënçin poshtë të mbuluar nga turpi ata që gëzohen me fatkeqësitë e mia.

Let all who want to destroy my life be ashamed and troubled. Let those who want to hurt me be turned away without honor.

15 U trëmbshin për turp të tyre ata që më thonë: "Ah, ah…!".

Let those who say to me, “O! O!” be filled with fear because of their shame.

16 U gëzofshin dhe ngazëllofshin te ti të gjithë ata që të kërkojnë, ata që duan shpëtimin tënd thënçin: "Lëvduar qoftë Zoti".

But let all who look for You have joy and be glad in You. Let those who love Your saving power always say, “The Lord be honored!”

17 S a për mua, unë jam i varfër dhe nevojtar, por Zoti kujdeset për mua. Ti je mbështetja ime dhe çlirimtari im; Perëndia im, mos u vono.

Because I suffer and am in need, let the Lord think of me. You are my help and the One Who sets me free. O my God, do not wait.
