1 K ëta janë pasardhësit e Aaronit dhe të Moisiut në kohën kur Zoti i foli Moisiut në malin Sinai.

These are the people of Aaron and Moses at the time when the Lord spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.

2 K ëta janë emrat e bijve të Aaronit: Nadabi, i parëlinduri, Abihu, Eleazari dhe Ithamari.

The names of the sons of Aaron are Nadab the first-born, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

3 K ëta janë emrat e bijve të Aaronit, të vajosur si priftërinj, që ai i shenjtëroi për të shërbyer si priftërinj.

These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the chosen religious leaders. Aaron set them apart to work as religious leaders.

4 N adabi dhe Abihu vdiqën para Zotit, kur ofruan një zjarr të palejueshëm para Zotit në shkretëtirën e Sinait; ata nuk patën bij. Kështu Eleazari dhe Ithamari shërbyen si priftërinj në prani të Aaronit, atit të tyre.

But Nadab and Abihu died before the Lord when they made a fire that was not holy to the Lord in the Desert of Sinai. And they had no children. So Eleazar and Ithamar worked as religious leaders during the life-time of their father Aaron. The Levites Serve in the Meeting Tent

5 P astaj Zoti i foli Moisiut, duke i thënë:

Then the Lord said to Moses,

6 " Afro fisin e Levitëve dhe paraqite para priftit Aaron, që të vihet në shërbim të tij.

“Bring the family of Levi near. Set them in front of Aaron the religious leader so they may serve him.

7 A ta do të zbatojnë të gjitha udhëzimet e tij dhe do të kryejnë të gjitha detyrat që lidhen me tërë asamblenë para çadrës së mbledhjes, duke kryer shërbimin e tabernakullit.

They will do the duties for him and for all the people in front of the meeting tent. They will do the work around the meeting tent,

8 D o të kujdesen për të gjitha orenditë e çadrës së mbledhjes dhe do të përmbushin të gjitha detyrimet e bijve të Izraelit, duke kryer shërbimin e tabernakullit.

and will keep all the things that belong to the meeting tent. They will take care of the duties for the people of Israel as they work around the meeting tent.

9 L evitët do t’ua japësh Aaronit dhe bijve të tij; ata duhet t’u jepen plotësisht nga gjiri i bijve të Izraelit.

You will give the Levites to Aaron and his sons. They are all given to him from among the people of Israel.

10 T i do të vendosësh Aaronin dhe bijtë e tij në mënyrë që ata të kryejnë funksionet e priftërisë së tyre; por çdo i huaj tjetër që afrohet do të dënohet me vdekje".

Set apart Aaron and his sons to do the work of religious leaders. But if anyone comes near who is not a religious leader, he must be put to death.”

11 Z oti i foli akoma Moisiut, duke i thënë:

The Lord said to Moses,

12 " Ja, unë i mora Levitët nga gjiri i bijve të Izraelit në vend të çdo të parëlinduri që çel barkun e nënës midis bijve të Izraelit; prandaj Levitët do të jenë të mitë,

“See, I have taken the Levites from among the people of Israel instead of every first-born among the people of Israel. The Levites will be Mine.

13 s epse çdo i parëlindur është imi; ditën që godita të gjithë të parëlindurit në vendin e Egjiptit, unë ia shenjtërova vetvetes të gjithë të parëlindurit në Izrael, qoftë të njerëzve, qoftë të kafshëve; ata do të jenë të mitë. Unë jam Zoti.

For all the first-born are Mine. On the day that I killed all the first-born in the land of Egypt, I set apart for My own all the first-born in Israel, both man and animal. They will be Mine. I am the Lord.” The Levites Are Numbered

14 P astaj Zoti i foli Moisiut në shkretëtirën e Sinait, duke i thënë:

Then the Lord said to Moses in the Desert of Sinai,

15 " Bëj regjistrimin e bijve të Levit në bazë të shtëpive të etërve të tyre dhe të familjeve të tyre; do të bësh regjistrimin e të gjithë meshkujve një muajsh e lart".

“Number the sons of Levi by their fathers’ houses and by their families. Number every male a month old and older.”

16 K ështu Moisiu bëri regjistrimin simbas urdhërit të Zotit ashtu siç ishte urdhëruar.

So Moses numbered them just as he had been told by the word of the Lord.

17 K ëta janë bijtë e Levit, simbas emrave të tyre: Gershon, Kehat dhe Merari.

The names of the sons of Levi are Gershon, Kohath and Merari.

18 K ëta janë emrat e bijve të Gershonit, simbas familjeve të tyre: Libni dhe Shimei;

The names of the sons of Gershon by their families are Libni and Shimei.

19 b ijtë e Kehathit, simbas familjeve të tyre, ishin Amrami, Itsehari, Hebroni dhe Uzieli;

The sons of Kohath by their families are Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.

20 b ijtë e Merarit, simbas familjeve të tyre, ishin Mahli dhe Mushi. Këto janë familjet e Levitëve, në bazë të shtëpive të etërve të tyre.

The sons of Merari by their families are Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites by their fathers’ houses.

21 N ga Gershoni rrjedhin familja e Libnitëve dhe familja e Shimetëve; këto janë familjet e Gershonitëve.

Of Gershon were the families of the Libnites and the Shimeites. These were the families of the Gershonites.

22 A ta që u regjistruan, duke numëruar tërë meshkujt e moshës një muajsh e lart, ishin shtatë mijë e pesëqind.

The number of their men, every male a month old and older, was 7, 500.

23 F amiljet e Gershonitëve duhet të zinin vend prapa tabernakullit, në drejtim të perëndimit.

The families of the Gershonites were to set up their tents behind the meeting tent on the west side.

24 I pari i shtëpisë së etërve të Gershonitëve ishte Eliasafi, bir i Laelit.

The leader of the fathers’ houses of the Gershonites was Eliasaph the son of Lael.

25 D etyrat e bijve të Gershonit në çadrën e mbledhjes kishin të bënin me tabernakullin, me çadrën dhe mbulesën e saj, me perden e hyrjes në çadrën e mbledhjes,

The sons of Gershon were to take care of the meeting tent, its covering, and the curtain for the door of the meeting tent.

26 m e perdet e oborrit, me perden në hyrjen e oborrit rreth tabernakullit dhe rreth altarit dhe litarët e tij për tërë shërbimin që u takonte.

And they were to take care of the curtains for the door of the open space, and all curtains around the meeting tent and the altar and their ropes. They did all the work having to do with them.

27 N ga Kehathi rrjedhin familja e Amramitëve, familja e Itseharit, familja e Hebronitëve dhe familja e Uzielitëve; këto janë familjet e Kehathitëve.

Of Kohath were the families of the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites and the Uzzielites. These were the families of the Kohathites.

28 D uke numëruar tërë meshkujt që ishin në moshë një muajsh e lart, kishte tetë mijë e gjashtëqind vetë, që kujdeseshin për shenjtëroren.

The number of every male a month old and older was 8, 600. They did the duties of the holy place.

29 F amiljet e bijve të Kehathit duhet të zinin vend në krahun jugor të tabernakullit.

The families of the sons of Kohath were to set up their tents on the south side of the meeting tent.

30 I pari i shtëpisë së etërve të Kehathit ishte Elitsafani, bir i Uzielit.

The leader of the fathers’ houses of the Kohathite families was Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.

31 D etyrat e tyre kishin të bënin me arkën, me tryezën, me shandanin, me altarët dhe me orenditë e shenjtërores me të cilat ata kryenin shërbimin, me velin dhe gjithë punën që lidhet me këto gjëra.

They took care of the special box with the Law, and the table, the lamp-stand, the altars, the things used in the holy place, and the curtain. They did all the work having to do with them.

32 P rinci i princave të Levitëve ishte Eleazari, bir i priftit Aaron; ai mbikqyrte ata që kujdeseshin për shenjtëroren.

Eleazar, the son of Aaron the religious leader, was the head of the leaders of Levi. He watched over those who did the duties of the holy place.

33 N ga Merari rrjedhin familja e Mahlitëve dhe familja e Mushitëve; këto janë familjet e Merarit.

Of Merari were the families of the Mahlites and the Mushites. These were the families of Merari.

34 A ta që u regjistruan, duke numëruar tërë meshkujt nga mosha një muajsh e lart, ishin gjashtë mijë e dyqind.

The number of their men, every male a month old and older, was 6, 200.

35 P rijësi i shtëpisë së etërve të familjeve të Merarit ishte Tsurieli, bir i Abihailit. Ata duhet të zinin vend në krahun verior të tabernakullit.

The leader of the fathers’ houses of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They were to set up their tents on the north side of the meeting tent.

36 D etyrat e caktuara për bijtë e Merarit kishin të bënin me dërrasat e tabernakullit, me traversat e tij, me shtyllat dhe bazat e tyre, me tërë veglat e tij dhe tërë punën që ka të bëjë me këto gjëra,

The duties given to the sons of Merari were to take care of the parts made of wood of the meeting tent, its cross pieces, its pillars, its bases, and all the pieces that had to do with them. They took care of all these things,

37 m e shtyllat e oborrit rreth e qark, me bazat e tyre, me kunjat dhe me litarët e tyre.

and of the pillars around the open space and their bases and their nails and their ropes.

38 P ërpara tabernakullit, në krahun e tij lindor, përballë çadrës së mbledhjes, nga ana lindjes së diellit, duhet të zinin vend Moisiu, Aaroni dhe bijtë e tij; ata kujdeseshin për shenjtëroren duke plotësuar detyrat e bijve të Izraelit; por çdo i huaj tjetër që do të afrohej, do të dënohej me vdekje.

Moses and Aaron and his sons were to set up their tents on the east side in front of the meeting tent, toward the sunrise. They did the duties of the meeting tent, whatever had to be done for the people of Israel. But the one who came near who was not a religious leader was to be put to death.

39 T ërë Levitët e regjistruar nga Moisiu dhe Aaroni në bazë të familjeve të tyre simbas urdhrit të Zotit, të gjithë meshkujt që nga mosha një muajsh e lart ishin njëzet mijë.

The number of all the Levite men a month old and older, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by their families as the Lord told them, was 22, 000. Levites Take the Place of First-Born Sons

40 P astaj Zoti i tha Moisiut: "Bëj regjistrimin e të gjithë të parëlindurve meshkuj ndër bijtë e Izraelit nga mosha një muajsh e lart dhe llogarit edhe emrat e tyre.

The Lord said to Moses, “Number every first-born male of the sons of Israel a month old and older. Write down their names.

41 D o t’i marrësh Levitët për mua, unë jam Zoti, në vend të të gjithë të parëlindurve ndër bijtë e Izraelit dhe bagëtinë e Levitëve në vend të të parëlindurve ndër bagëtitë e bijve të Izraelit".

Take the Levites for Me, instead of all the first-born among the sons of Israel. I am the Lord. And take the cattle of the Levites instead of all the first-born among the cattle of the people of Israel.”

42 K ështu Moisiu bëri regjistrimin e të gjithë të parëlindurve ndër bijtë e Izraelit, ashtu siç e kishte urdhëruar Zoti.

So Moses numbered all the first-born among the sons of Israel, just as the Lord had told him.

43 T ë gjithë të parëlindurit meshkuj që u regjistruan duke numëruar emrat e tyre nga mosha një muajsh e lart, ishin njëzet e dy mijë e dyqind e shtatëdhjetë e tre.

The number of names of all the first-born males a month old and older was 22, 273.

44 P astaj Zoti i foli Moisiut, duke i thënë:

Then the Lord said to Moses,

45 " Merr Levitët në vend të të gjithë të parëlindurve të Izraelit, dhe bagëtinë e Levitëve në vend të bagëtisë së tyre; Levitët do të jenë të mitë. Unë jam Zoti.

“Take the Levites instead of all the first-born sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites. The number of the Levites will be Mine. I am the Lord.

46 P ër shpengimin e dyqind e shtatëdhjetë e tre të parëlindur të Izraelit që e kalojnë numrin e Levitëve,

There are 273 first-born of the sons of Israel, who are more in number than the Levites. You must pay the price for each of them.

47 d o të marrësh pesë sikla për frymë, simbas siklit të shenjtërores; sikli ka njëzet gere.

Take five pieces of silver for each, by the weight of silver agreed upon for the meeting tent.

48 P aratë do t’ia japësh Aaronit dhe bijve të tij për të shpenguar ata që e kalojnë numrin e tyre".

Give the money, the price of those who are more in number than the Levites, to Aaron and his sons.”

49 K ështu Moisiu mori paratë e shpengimit nga ata që e kalonin numrin e të parëlindurve të shpenguar nga Levitët;

So Moses took the money to pay for those who were more in number than the Levites.

50 m ori paratë e të parëlindurve të bijve të Izraelit; një mijë e treqind e gjashtëdhjetë e pesë sikla, simbas siklit të shenjtërores.

He took the money from the first-born sons of Israel, by the weight agreed upon for the meeting tent. He took 1, 365 pieces of silver.

51 P astaj Moisiu paratë e atyre që ishin shpenguar ia dha Aaronit dhe bijve të tij, simbas urdhërit të Zotit, ashtu si e kishte urdhëruar Zoti Moisiun.

Then Moses gave the money to Aaron and his sons, just as the Lord had told Moses by His Word.
