1 J a, Perëndia, Zoti i ushtrive, është duke i hequr Jeruzalemit dhe Judës çdo mbështetje dhe përkrahje, çdo mbështjetje me bukë dhe çdo mbështetje me ujë;

See, the Lord, the Lord God of All, is going to take away from Jerusalem and Judah all they have to keep themselves alive and safe, all the bread and all the water.

2 t rimin dhe luftëtarin, gjyqtarin dhe profetin, falltarin dhe plakun,

He will take away the strong man, the man of war, the man who judges, the man who tells what will happen in the future, the man who uses secret ways, and the leader.

3 k omandantin e një pesëdhjetësheje dhe parinë, këshilltarin, ekspertin në artet magjike dhe yshtësin e shkathët.

He will take away the captain of fifty, the man of honor, the wise man, the able workman, and the one who uses secret powers.

4 D o t’u jap atyre djem si princa dhe fëmijë do t’i sundojnë.

I will make boys their rulers. Foolish children will rule over them.

5 P opulli do të jetë i shtypur, njeri nga tjetri, dhe secili nga i afërmi i tij; fëmija do të jetë i pasjellshëm me plakun, njeriu i keq me njeriun e nderuar.

The people will make it hard for each other. Each one will hurt the other, and each one will be hurt by his neighbor. The younger will show anger toward the older. And the man who is not respected will show anger toward the man of honor.

6 D ikush do të kapë vëllanë e vet në shtëpinë e atit të tij dhe do t’i thotë: "Ti ke një mantel, bëhu i pari ynë dhe kujdesu për këtë shkatërrim".

A man will take hold of his brother in his father’s house, saying, “You have a coat. You will be our ruler. This destroyed city will be under your rule.”

7 P or atë ditë ai do të deklarojë solemnisht duke thënë: "Unë nuk do t’i lidh plagët tuaja, sepse në shtëpinë time nuk ka as bukë as mantel; mos më vini të parë të popullit".

In that day he will call out, “I can not be of help to you. For in my house there is no bread or coat. You should not choose me to be ruler of the people.”

8 N ë fakt Jeruzalemi dridhet dhe Juda po bie, sepse gjuha e tyre dhe veprat e tyre janë kundër Zotit, për të provokuar zemërimin e vështrimit të madhërisë së tij.

For Jerusalem has no strength, and Judah has fallen, because their speaking and their actions are against the Lord. They have turned against His shining-greatness.

9 A nësia e tyre me personat dëshmon kundër tyre, ata vënë në dukje mëkatin e tyre si Sodoma dhe nuk e fshehin. Mjerë ata, sepse i bëjnë keq vetes së tyre.

The look on their faces speaks against them. They show their sin like Sodom. They do not even hide it. It is bad for them! For they have brought trouble upon themselves.

10 I thoni të drejtit se do t’i dalë mirë, sepse do të hajë frytin e veprave të tij.

Tell those who are right and good that it will go well for them. For they will enjoy the fruit of what they do.

11 M jerë i pabesi! Do t’i bjerë mbi kokë fatkeqësia, sepse do t’i jepet ajo që duart e tij kanë përgatitur.

It will be bad for the sinful man! It will not go well for him, for what he has done will be done to him.

12 S htypësit e popullit tim janë fëmijë, dhe gratë sundojnë mbi të. O populli im, ata që të udhëheqin të çojnë jashtë rruge dhe shkatërrojnë shtegun që ti përshkon.

O My people! Children make it hard for them. And women rule over them. O My people! Your leaders lead you in the wrong way. You do not know which path to take. The Lord Will Judge His People

13 Z oti paraqitet për të paditur dhe zë vend për të gjykuar popujt.

The Lord is ready to say what He thinks and stands to judge the people.

14 Z oti hyn në gjyq me pleqtë e popullit të tij dhe me princat e tij: "Jeni ju që e keni përpirë vreshtin; trupat pa jetë të të varfërve ndodhen në shtëpitë tuaja.

The Lord judges the leaders and rulers of His people: “It is you who have destroyed the grape-field. What had belonged to the poor is in your houses.

15 Ç farë të drejte keni të merrni nëpër këmbë popullin tim dhe të shtypni fytyrën e të varfërve?," thotë Perëndia, Zoti i ushtrive.

What do you mean by crushing My people, and grinding the faces of the poor?” says the Lord God of All. Women of Jerusalem Will Suffer

16 Z oti thotë akoma: "Me qenë se vajzat e Sionit janë fodulle dhe ecin qafëpërpjetë dhe me vështrime provokuese, duke ecur me hapa të vogla dhe duke bërë të tringëllojnë unazat që mbajnë te këmbët e tyre,

The Lord said, “The daughters of Zion are proud. They walk with heads held high and a wrong desire in their eyes. They walk with short steps, making noise with the chains on their ankles.

17 Z oti do të godasë me zgjebe majën e kokës së vajzave të Sionit dhe Zoti do të nxjerrë në shesh turpet e tyre".

So the Lord will make sores come upon the heads of the daughters of Zion, and take the hair from their head.

18 A të ditë Zoti do të heqë stolinë e unazave të kyçeve të këmbës, diejtë e vegjël dhe hënëzat,

In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their ankle chains, headbands, moon-like objects,

19 v athët, byzylykët dhe velot,

rings worn on their ears and arms, face-coverings,

20 ç allmat, zinxhirët e vegjël te këmbët, rrypat e brezit, enët e parfumeve dhe hajmalitë,

head-dresses, leg-chains, wide belts, perfume boxes, objects with secret powers,

21 u nazat, xhevahiret për hundë,

finger rings, nose rings,

22 r robat për festë, mantelet e vogla, shallët dhe çantat e vogla,

bright clothing, coats, money-bags,

23 p asqyrat, këmishëzat, kapuçët dhe robëdëshambrët.

hand mirrors, underclothes, head-coverings, and face-coverings.

24 D he do të ndodhë që në vend të parfumit të ketë kalbësira, në vend të brezit një litar, në vend të kaçurelave shogësi, në vend të një veshjeje të kushtueshme një thes i ngushtë, një damkë zjarri në vend të bukurisë.

Instead of sweet perfume there will be a bad smell. Instead of a belt there will be a rope. Instead of well set hair there will be no hair. Instead of fine clothes they will wear cloth made from hair. And there will be burnt marks instead of beauty.

25 N jerëzit e tu do të bien nga shpata, dhe trimat e tu në betejë.

Your men will fall by the sword. Your strong ones will fall in battle.

26 P ortat e saj do të vajtojnë dhe do të mbajnë zi; e dëshpëruar ajo do të ulet për tokë.

Jerusalem’s gates will be filled with sorrow. She will sit on the ground, laid waste and empty.
