Cantate all'Eterno un canto nuovo, cantate all'Eterno, o abitanti di tutta la terra!

2 S ing to the Lord, bless (affectionately praise) His name; show forth His salvation from day to day.

Cantate all'Eterno, benedite il suo nome; annunziate di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza.

3 D eclare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples.

Proclamate la sua gloria fra le nazioni e le sue meraviglie fra tutti i popoli.

4 F or great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be reverently feared and worshiped above all gods.

Poiché l'Eterno è grande e degno di somma lode; egli va temuto sopra tutti gli dèi.

5 F or all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.

Poiché tutti gli dèi delle nazioni sono idoli, ma l'Eterno ha fatto i cieli,

6 H onor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Splendore e maestà sono davanti a lui forza e bellezza sono nel suo santuario.

7 A scribe to the Lord, O you families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

Date all'Eterno, o famiglie dei popoli, date all'Eterno gloria e forza.

8 G ive to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering and come into His courts.

Date all'Eterno la gloria dovuta al suo nome, portategli offerte e venite nei suoi cortili

9 O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; tremble before and reverently fear Him, all the earth.

Prostratevi davanti all'Eterno nello splendore della sua SANTITA

10 S ay among the nations that the Lord reigns; the world also is established, so that it cannot be moved; He shall judge and rule the people righteously and with justice.

Dite fra le nazioni: «L'Eterno regna; il mondo è stabilito fermamente e non sarà smosso; egli giudicherà i popoli con rettitudine».

11 L et the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all the things which fill it;

Si rallegrino i cieli e gioisca la terra; rumoreggi il mare e tutto ciò che è in esso.

12 L et the field be exultant, and all that is in it! Then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy

Esulti la campagna e tutto quello che è in essa. Allora tutti gli alberi della foresta manderanno grida di gioia davanti all'Eterno,

13 B efore the Lord, for He comes, for He comes to judge and govern the earth! He shall judge the world with righteousness and justice and the peoples with His faithfulness and truth.

perché egli viene, viene a giudicare la terra. Egli giudicherà il mondo con giustizia e i popoli nella sua fedeltà.
