1 T o the Overseer. -- A Song, a Psalm. Shout ye to God, all the earth.

Strigaţi de bucurie către Dumnezeu, toţi locuitorii pământului!

2 P raise ye the honour of His name, Make ye honourable His praise.

Cântaţi slava Numelui Său, măriţi slava Lui prin laudele voastre!

3 S ay to God, `How fearful Thy works, By the abundance of Thy strength, Thine enemies feign obedience to Thee.

Spuneţi-I lui Dumnezeu: „Cât de înfricoşătoare sunt lucrările Tale!“ Tăria Ta este atât de mare, încât duşmanii Tăi dau înapoi în faţa Ta.

4 A ll the earth do bow to Thee, They sing praise to Thee, they praise Thy name.' Selah.

Tot pământul să Ţi se închine şi să-Ţi cânte, să-Ţi cânte Numele! Sela

5 C ome ye, and see the works of God, Fearful acts toward the sons of men.

Veniţi şi vedeţi faptele lui Dumnezeu, înfăptuirile înfricoşătoare pentru fiii oamenilor.

6 H e hath turned a sea to dry land, Through a river they pass over on foot, There do we rejoice in Him.

El a schimbat marea în uscat de au traversat râul cu piciorul! Deci să ne bucurăm în El!

7 R uling by His might to the age, His eyes among the nations do watch, The refractory exalt not themselves. Selah.

El stăpâneşte cu puterea Sa pe vecie, ochii Săi supraveghează neamurile: fie ca răzvrătiţii să nu se mai ridice împotriva Lui! Sela

8 B less, ye peoples, our God, And sound the voice of His praise,

Popoare, binecuvântaţi-L pe Dumnezeul nostru, daţi glas laudei Sale!

9 W ho hath placed our soul in life, And suffered not our feet to be moved.

El ne aşază sufletul printre cei vii şi nu lasă să ni se clatine piciorul.

10 F or Thou hast tried us, O God, Thou hast refined us as the refining of silver.

Dumnezeule, Tu ne încerci şi ne purifici precum se purifică argintul.

11 T hou hast brought us into a net, Thou hast placed pressure on our loins.

Ne-ai făcut să intrăm în mreajă, ne-ai pus poveri pe spate.

12 T hou hast caused man to ride at our head. We have entered into fire and into water, And Thou bringest us out to a watered place.

Ai îngăduit omului să călărească pe capetele noastre; am trecut prin foc şi prin apă, dar apoi ne-ai condus spre îndestulare.

13 I enter Thy house with burnt-offerings, I complete to Thee my vows,

De aceea voi veni la Casa Ta cu arderi de tot, şi-mi voi împlini jurămintele,

14 F or opened were my lips, And my mouth spake in my distress:

jurăminte pe care buzele mele le-au promis şi pe care gura mea le-a rostit când eram în necaz.

15 ` Burnt-offerings of fatlings I offer to Thee, With perfume of rams, I prepare a bullock with he-goats.' Selah.

Îţi voi aduce animale îngrăşate ca arderi de tot şi o ofrandă de berbeci; voi aduce viţei şi ţapi. Sela

16 C ome, hear, all ye who fear God, And I recount what he did for my soul.

Veniţi şi ascultaţi, voi, toţi cei ce vă temeţi de Dumnezeu, şi vă voi povesti ce a făcut El pentru mine!

17 U nto Him my mouth I have called, And exaltation under my tongue.

Către El a strigat gura mea şi lauda Lui a fost pe limba mea.

18 I niquity, if I have seen in my heart, The Lord doth not hear.

Dacă aş fi văzut răutate în inima mea, nu m-ar fi ascultat Stăpânul.

19 B ut God hath heard, He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

Dar Dumnezeu m-a ascultat, într-adevăr, a luat aminte la glasul rugăciunii mele.

20 B lessed God, Who hath not turned aside my prayer, And His loving-kindness, from me!

Binecuvântat să fie Dumnezeu Care nu mi-a respins rugăciunea şi nici nu Şi-a ascuns îndurarea faţă de mine!
