1 ` One wounded, bruised, or cut in the member doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah;

Nici un om care este castrat prin zdrobire sau tăiere să nu intre în adunarea Domnului.

2 a bastard doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even a tenth generation of him doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

Bastardul să nu intre în adunarea Domnului, nici chiar cei din a zecea generaţie a lui să nu intre în adunarea Domnului.

3 ` An Ammonite and a Moabite doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even a tenth generation of them doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah -- to the age;

Amonitul sau moabitul să nu intre niciodată în adunarea Domnului, nici chiar cei din a zecea generaţie a lor să nu intre în adunarea Domnului,

4 b ecause that they have not come before you with bread and with water in the way, in your coming out from Egypt, and because he hath hired against thee Balaam son of Beor, of Pethor of Aram-Naharaim, to revile thee;

fiindcă nu v-au întâmpinat cu pâine şi cu apă pe drum, la ieşirea voastră din Egipt şi l-au adus împotriva voastră pe Balaam, fiul lui Beor, din Petorul Aram-Naharayimului pentru a vă blestema.

5 a nd Jehovah thy God hath not been willing to hearken unto Balaam, and Jehovah thy God doth turn for thee the reviling to a blessing, because Jehovah thy God hath loved thee;

Dar Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, nu a vrut să-l asculte pe Balaam, ci a schimbat blestemul în binecuvântare, pentru că Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, vă iubeşte.

6 t hou dost not seek their peace and their good all thy days -- to the age.

Să nu contribui nici la fericirea lor, nici la bunăstarea lor, în toate zilele vieţii tale, pentru totdeauna.

7 ` Thou dost not abominate an Edomite, for thy brother he; thou dost not abominate an Egyptian, for a sojourner thou hast been in his land;

Să nu-l dispreţuieşti pe edomit, căci este rudă cu tine. Să nu-l dispreţuieşti pe egiptean, pentru că ai fost străin în ţara lui.

8 s ons who are begotten of them, a third generation of them, doth enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

A treia generaţie de copii care li se vor naşte vor putea să intre în adunarea Domnului.

9 ` When a camp goeth out against thine enemies, then thou hast kept from every evil thing.

Când veţi înainta cu oştirea împotriva duşmanilor voştri, să vă feriţi de orice lucru rău.

10 ` When there is in thee a man who is not clean, from an accident at night -- then he hath gone out unto the outside of the camp -- he doth not come in unto the midst of the camp --

Dacă vreunul din voi va fi necurat din cauza unei întâmplări din timpul nopţii, să iasă din tabără şi să rămână acolo.

11 a nd it hath been, at the turning of the evening, he doth bathe with water, and at the going in of the sun he doth come in unto the midst of the camp.

Seara să se spele în apă, iar după asfinţitul soarelui să se reîntoarcă în tabără.

12 ` And a station thou hast at the outside of the camp, and thou hast gone out thither without,

Să aveţi un loc în afara taberei şi acolo să ieşiţi.

13 a nd a nail thou hast on thy staff, and it hath been, in thy sitting without, that thou hast digged with it, and turned back, and covered thy filth;

Printre uneltele voastre să aveţi şi o lopată cu care să săpaţi în locul din afara taberei, ca să vă acoperiţi murdăriile.

14 f or Jehovah thy God is walking up and down in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give thine enemies before thee, and thy camp hath been holy, and He doth not see in thee the nakedness of anything, and hath turned back from after thee.

Căci Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, merge în mijlocul taberei voastre ca să vă ocrotească şi să vi-i dea în mâini pe duşmanii voştri. Prin urmare, tabăra voastră va trebui să fie sfântă, ca El să nu vadă nimic necurat la voi şi să se întoarcă de la voi. Diferite reglementări

15 ` Thou dost not shut up a servant unto his lord, who is delivered unto thee from his lord;

Să nu-l daţi înapoi stăpânului său pe sclavul care se va refugia la voi.

16 w ith thee he doth dwell, in thy midst, in the place which he chooseth within one of thy gates, where it is pleasing to him; thou dost not oppress him.

Să locuiască la voi, în mijlocul vostru, în locul pe care îl veţi alege, în una din cetăţile voastre, acolo unde îi va plăcea. Să nu-l asupriţi.

17 ` There is not a whore among the daughters of Israel, nor is there a whoremonger among the sons of Israel;

Să nu existe printre femeile din Israel nici o prostituată şi să nu existe printre bărbaţii din Israel nici unul care practică prostituţia.

18 t hou dost not bring a gift of a whore, or a price of a dog, into the house of Jehovah thy God, for any vow; for the abomination of Jehovah thy God even both of them.

Să nu aduci în Casa Domnului, Dumnezeul tău, câştigul unei prostituate sau al unui sodomit, ca împlinire a unui jurământ, căci şi unul şi celălalt sunt o urâciune înaintea Domnului, Dumnezeul tău.

19 ` Thou dost not lend in usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of food, usury of anything which is lent on usury.

Să nu iei dobândă de la cel din poporul tău: nici pentru argint, nici pentru mâncare, pentru nimic care se împrumută cu dobândă.

20 T o a stranger thou mayest lend in usury, and to thy brother thou dost not lend in usury, so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in every putting forth of thy hand on the land whither thou goest in to possess it.

De la străin vei putea lua dobândă, dar de la fratele tău să nu iei, pentru ca Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, să te binecuvânteze în tot ce vei face, în ţara în care vei intra ca s-o stăpâneşti.

21 ` When thou vowest a vow to Jehovah thy God, thou dost not delay to complete it; for Jehovah thy God doth certainly require it from thee, and it hath been in thee -- sin.

Dacă vei face un jurământ Domnului, Dumnezeul tău, să nu întârzii să-l împlineşti, fiindcă Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, cu siguranţă te va întreba de el şi vei fi vinovat de păcat.

22 ` And when thou forbearest to vow, it is not in thee a sin.

Dacă te vei feri să faci un jurământ, nu vei păcătui.

23 T he produce of thy lips thou dost keep, and hast done, as thou hast vowed to Jehovah thy God; a free-will-offering, which thou hast spoken with thy mouth.

Să păzeşti şi să împlineşti tot ce-ţi va ieşi de pe buze, deoarece jurământul pe care l-ai făcut Domnului, Dumnezeul tău, cu însăşi gura ta, l-ai rostit de bunăvoie.

24 ` When thou comest in unto the vineyard of thy neighbour, then thou hast eaten grapes, according to thy desire, thy sufficiency; but into thy vessel thou dost not put.

Dacă vei intra în podgoria semenului tău, vei avea voie să mânânci câţi struguri doreşti, până te vei sătura, dar să nu iei şi în coşul tău.

25 W hen thou comest in among the standing-corn of thy neighbour, then thou hast plucked the ears with thy hand, but a sickle thou dost not wave over the standing-corn of thy neighbour.

Dacă vei intra în holda semenului tău, vei avea voie să culegi cu mâna spice de grâu, dar nu vei avea voie să foloseşti secera în holda lui.
