1 A nd at the completion of all this, gone out have all Israel who are found present to the cities of Judah, and break the standing-pillars, and cut down the shrines, and break down the high places and the altars, out of all Judah and Benjamin, and in Ephraim and Manasseh, even to completion, and all the sons of Israel turn back, each to his Possession, to their cities.

Când toate acestea s-au încheiat, toţi israeliţii prezenţi au plecat spre cetăţile lui Iuda. Ei au zdrobit stâlpii sacri şi au retezat aşerele, au dărâmat înălţimile şi altarele din tot Iuda, Beniamin, Efraim şi Manase şi nu s-au lăsat până nu le-au distrus pe toate. Apoi toţi israeliţii s-au întors în cetăţile lor, fiecare la proprietatea lui.

2 A nd Hezekiah appointeth the courses of the priests, and of the Levites, by their courses, each according to his service, of the priests and of the Levites, for burnt-offering, and for peace-offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to give praise in the gates of the camps of Jehovah.

Ezechia a aşezat din nou pe şiruri cetele preoţilor şi ale leviţilor, fiecare om cu slujba sa de preot sau de levit: pentru arderea de tot, pentru jertfele de pace, pentru slujbă sau pentru mulţumire şi laudă la porţile taberei Domnului.

3 A nd a portion of the king, from his substance, for burnt-offerings, for burnt-offerings of the morning, and of the evening, and the burnt-offerings of sabbaths, and of new moons, and of appointed seasons, as it is written in the law of Jehovah.

Regele a dăruit o parte din averile sale pentru arderile de tot, adică pentru arderile de tot de dimineaţă şi de seară, pentru arderile de tot de Sabat, de lună nouă şi de sărbători, aşa cum este scris în Legea Domnului.

4 A nd he saith to the people, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to give the portion of the priests, and of the Levites, so that they are strengthened in the law of Jehovah;

El a poruncit poporului care locuia în Ierusalim să dea o parte din bunurile lor preoţilor şi leviţilor, ca astfel ei să se poată dedica Legii Domnului.

5 a nd at the spreading forth of the thing have the sons of Israel multiplied the first-fruit of corn, new wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field, and the tithe of the whole in abundance they have brought in.

Când s-a răspândit vestea aceasta, israeliţii şi-au înmulţit darurile din primele roade – din grâne, din must, din ulei, din miere şi din toate roadele câmpului. Au adus zeciuială din belşug din tot ce aveau.

6 A nd the sons of Israel and Judah, those dwelling in cities of Judah, they also a tithe of herd and flock, and a tithe of the holy things that are sanctified to Jehovah their God, have brought in, and they give -- heaps, heaps;

Atât israeliţii, cât şi cei din Iuda, care locuiau în cetăţile lui Iuda, au dat şi ei zeciuială din boi şi din oi, precum şi zeciuială din lucrurile sfinte care erau închinate Domnului, Dumnezeul lor; le-au adus şi le-au pus grămezi.

7 i n the third month they have begun to lay the foundation of the heaps, and in the seventh month they have finished.

Au început să facă grămezi în luna a treia şi au terminat în luna a şaptea.

8 A nd Hezekiah and the heads come in and see the heaps, and bless Jehovah and His people Israel,

Când Ezechia şi căpeteniile au sosit şi au văzut grămezile, au binecuvântat pe Domnul şi pe poporul Său, Israel.

9 a nd Hezekiah inquireth at the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps,

Ezechia i-a întrebat pe preoţi şi pe leviţi cu privire la grămezile strânse.

10 a nd Azariah the head priest, of the house of Zadok, speaketh unto him, and saith, `From the beginning of the bringing of the heave-offering to the house of Jehovah, to eat, and to be satisfied, and to leave abundantly, for Jehovah hath blessed His people, and that left this store.'

Azaria, preotul conducător, din familia lui Ţadok, i-a zis: „De când a început să vină la Casa Domnului contribuţia, am mâncat, ne-am săturat şi a mai rămas încă mult, pentru că Domnul Şi-a binecuvântat poporul, astfel încât a mai rămas din plin.“

11 A nd Hezekiah saith to prepare chambers in the house of Jehovah, and they prepare,

Ezechia le-a poruncit să pregătească nişte odăi în Casa Domnului, iar ei le-au pregătit.

12 a nd they bring in the heave-offering, and the tithe, and the holy things faithfully; and over them is a leader, Conaniah the Levite, and Shimei his brother second;

Au adus acolo cu credincioşie contribuţia, zeciuiala şi lucrurile sfinte. Conducătorul responsabil peste acestea era levitul Conania, iar fratele lui, Şimei, era al doilea după el.

13 a nd Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, inspectors under the hand of Conaniah and Shimei his brother, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah leader of the house of God.

Iehiel, Azazia, Nahat, Asael, Ierimot, Iozabad, Eliel, Ismachia, Mahat şi Benaia erau supraveghetori sub conducerea lui Conania şi a lui Şimei, fratele său, numiţi de către regele Ezechia şi de către Azaria, cel ce era responsabil de Casa lui Dumnezeu.

14 A nd Kore son of Imnah the Levite, the gatekeeper at the east, over the willing-offerings of God, to give the heave-offering of Jehovah, and the most holy things.

Levitul Core, fiul lui Imna, portarul de la răsărit, era responsabil de darurile de bunăvoie aduse lui Dumnezeu, de împărţirea contribuţiei aduse Domnului, precum şi de lucrurile preasfinte.

15 A nd by his hand Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shechaniah, in cities of the priests, faithfully to give to their brethren in courses, as the great so the small,

În cetăţile preoţilor, sub conducerea lui Core erau Eden, Miniamin, Iosua, Şemaia, Amaria şi Şecania. Aceştia împărţeau cu credincioşie partea cuvenită rudelor lor, potrivit cetelor lor, fie mari, fie mici,

16 a part from their genealogy, to males from a son of three years and upward, to every one who hath gone in to the house of Jehovah, by the matter of a day in its day, for their service in their charges, according to their courses;

precum şi celor înscrişi în genealogii – băieţii de la vârsta de trei ani în sus – tuturor celor ce veneau zilnic la Casa Domnului pentru slujbele de care erau responsabili, potrivit cetelor lor,

17 a nd the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers, and of the Levites, from a son of twenty years and upward, in their charges, in their courses;

preoţilor înscrişi în genealogii, potrivit familiilor lor şi leviţilor de la vârsta de douăzeci de ani în sus, după responsabilităţile lor, potrivit cetelor lor

18 a nd to the genealogy among all their infants, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters to all the congregation, for in their faithfulness they sanctify themselves in holiness.

– adică întregii adunări a celor înscrişi în genealogii cu toţi copilaşii lor, cu soţiile lor, cu fiii şi fiicele lor. Căci ei fuseseră credincioşi în a se păstra sfinţi.

19 A nd to sons of Aaron, the priests, in the fields of the suburb of their cities, in every city and city, men who have been defined by name, to give portions to every male among the priests, and to every one who reckoned himself by genealogy among the Levites.

Pentru urmaşii lui Aaron, preoţii, care locuiau în ţinuturile cu păşuni din apropierea fiecărei cetăţi preoţeşti, au fost numiţi oameni care să dea partea cuvenită tuturor băieţilor aflaţi sub îndrumarea preoţilor şi tuturor acelora dintre leviţii înscrişi în genealogii.

20 A nd Hezekiah doth thus in all Judah, and doth that which is good, and that which is right, and that which is true, before Jehovah his God;

Aşa a făcut Ezechia în tot ţinutul lui Iuda; el a făcut ce este bine, drept şi adevărat înaintea Domnului, Dumnezeul său.

21 a nd in every work that he hath begun for the service of the house of God, and for the law, and for the command, to seek to his God, with all his heart he hath wrought and prospered.

Toată lucrarea pe care a început-o cu privire la slujirea de la Casa lui Dumnezeu şi cu privire la Lege sau la porunci, ca să-L caute pe Dumnezeul său, a înfăptuit-o din toată inima, astfel că el a reuşit.
