1 A nd these births of Aaron and Moses, in the day of Jehovah's speaking with Moses in mount Sinai.

2 A nd these the names of the sons of Aaron: the first-born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar;

3 t hese the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whose hand he hath consecrated for acting as priest.

4 A nd Nadab dieth -- Abihu also -- before Jehovah, in their bringing near strange fire before Jehovah, in the wilderness of Sinai, and sons they had not; and Eleazar -- Ithamar also -- acteth as priest in the presence of Aaron their father.

5 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

7 a nd kept his charge, and the charge of all the company before the tent of meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle;

Ei să-l ajute în lucrurile pe care le are de făcut pentru el şi pentru întreaga adunare înaintea Cortului Întâlnirii, slujind la Tabernacul;

8 a nd they have kept all the vessels of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the sons of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle;

atunci când slujesc la Tabernacul, ei trebuie să aibă grijă de toate lucrurile din Cortul Întâlnirii şi să ajute la ceea ce li s-a poruncit israeliţilor să facă.

9 a nd thou hast given the Levites to Aaron and to his sons; they are surely given to him out of the sons of Israel.

10 ` And Aaron and his sons thou dost appoint, and they have kept their priesthood, and the stranger who cometh near is put to death.'

Să-i pui pe Aaron şi pe urmaşii lui să-şi păzească preoţia, iar străinul care se va apropia să fie omorât.“ Leviţii şi întâii născuţi ai lui Israel

11 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

Domnul i-a mai zis lui Moise:

12 ` And I, lo, I have taken the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel instead of every first-born opening a womb among the sons of Israel, and the Levites have been Mine;

„Iată că i-am luat pe leviţi din mijlocul israeliţilor, în locul tuturor întâilor născuţi care li se nasc israeliţilor. Leviţii vor fi ai Mei,

13 f or Mine every first-born, in the day of My smiting every first-born in the land of Egypt I have sanctified to Myself every first-born in Israel, from man unto beast; Mine they are; I Jehovah.'

pentru că toţi întâii născuţi sunt ai Mei; când i-am lovit cu moartea pe toţi întâii născuţi din ţara Egiptului, Mi i-am pus deoparte pe toţi întâii născuţi din Israel, atât dintre oameni, cât şi dintre animale; ei vor fi ai Mei. Eu sunt Domnul. “

14 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,

Domnul i-a vorbit lui Moise în pustia Sinai şi i-a zis:

15 ` Number the sons of Levi by the house of their fathers, by their families; every male from a son of a month and upward thou dost number them.'

„Numără-i pe leviţi după familiile şi clanurile lor. Să numeri fiecare bărbat de la vârsta de o lună în sus.“

16 A nd Moses numbereth them according to the command of Jehovah, as he hath been commanded.

Moise i-a numărat după Cuvântul Domnului, aşa cum i s-a poruncit.

17 A nd these are sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.

Acestea sunt numele fiilor lui Levi: Gherşon, Chehat şi Merari.

18 A nd these the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.

Acestea sunt numele fiilor lui Gherşon, potrivit clanurilor lor: Libni şi Şimei.

19 A nd the sons of Kohath, by their families, Amram and Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.

20 A nd the sons of Merari by their families Mahli and Mushi; these are the families of the Levites, by the house of their fathers.

25 A nd the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting the tabernacle, and the tent, its covering, and the vail at the opening of the tent of meeting,

26 a nd the hangings of the court, and the vail at the opening of the court, which by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and its cords, to all its service.

28 I n number, all the males, from a son of a month and upward, eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.

După ce au fost număraţi toţi bărbaţii de la vârsta de o lună în sus, s-au găsit opt mii şase sute de bărbaţi care aveau grijă de lucrurile Lăcaşului.

29 T he families of the sons of Kohath encamp by the side of the tabernacle southward.

Clanurile chehatiţilor îşi făceau tabăra în partea de sud a Tabernaculului.

30 A nd the prince of a father's house for the families of the Kohathite Elizaphan son of Uzziel.

Căpetenia familiilor din clanurile chehatiţilor era Eliţafan, fiul lui Uziel.

31 A nd their charge the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they serve, and the vail, and all its service.

Responsabilitatea lor era să aibă grijă de chivot, masă, sfeşnic, altare, de uneltele Lăcaşului cu care preoţii îşi făceau slujba şi de draperie.

32 A nd the prince of the princes of the Levites, Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, the oversight of the keepers of the charge of the sanctuary.

33 O f Merari the family of the Mahlite, and the family of the Mushite; these the families of Merari.

34 A nd their numbered ones, in number, all the males from a son of a month and upward, six thousand and two hundred.

35 A nd the prince of a father's house for the families of Merari Zuriel son of Abihail; by the side of the tabernacle they encamp northward.

Căpetenia familiilor din clanurile lui Merari era Ţuriel, fiul lui Abihail. Ei îşi făceau tabăra în partea de nord a Tabernaculului.

36 A nd the oversight -- the charge of the sons of Merari -- the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, and all its vessels, and all its service,

Responsabilitatea dată fiilor lui Merari era să aibă grijă de scândurile Tabernaculului, de drugi, stâlpi, piedestale şi de toate uneltele ce ţin de ele;

37 a nd the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.

38 A nd those encamping before the tabernacle eastward, before the tent of meeting, at the east, Moses and Aaron, and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the sons of Israel, and the stranger who cometh near is put to death.

Cei care-şi făceau tabăra înaintea Tabernaculului, în partea de răsărit – chiar înaintea Cortului Întâlnirii, spre răsărit – erau Moise, Aaron şi fiii lui Aaron. Ei aveau în grijă Lăcaşul cu tot ce trebuia făcut pentru israeliţi; oricine altcineva care se apropia era omorât.

39 A ll those numbered of the Levites whom Moses numbered -- Aaron also -- by the command of Jehovah, by their families, every male from a son of a month and upward, two and twenty thousand.

Toţi leviţii pe care i-a numărat Moise şi Aaron după porunca Domnului, potrivit clanurilor lor, şi anume toţi bărbaţii de la vârsta de o lună în sus, au fost douăzeci şi două de mii.

40 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Number every first-born male of the sons of Israel from a son of a month and upward, and take up the number of their names;

Apoi Domnul i-a zis lui Moise: „Numără-i pe toţi întâii născuţi băieţi ai israeliţilor, de la vârsta de o lună în sus, şi fă o listă cu numele lor.

41 a nd thou hast taken the Levites for Me (I Jehovah), instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of every firstling among the cattle of the sons of Israel.'

Pe leviţi să-i iei pentru Mine – Eu sunt Domnul – în locul tuturor întâilor născuţi ai israeliţilor, iar vitele leviţilor să le iei în locul tuturor întâilor născuţi ai vitelor israeliţilor.“

42 A nd Moses numbereth, as Jehovah hath commanded him, all the first-born among the sons of Israel.

Moise i-a numărat pe toţi întâii născuţi ai israeliţilor, aşa cum i-a poruncit Domnul.

43 A nd all the first-born -- male -- by the number of names, from a son of a month and upward, of their numbered ones, are two and twenty thousand two hundred and seventy and three.

Toţi întâii născuţi băieţi de la vârsta de o lună în sus, înscrişi după numele lor, au fost douăzeci şi două de mii două sute şaptezeci şi trei.

44 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

După aceea, Domnul i-a zis lui Moise:

45 ` Take the Levites instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites have been Mine; I Jehovah.

„Ia-i pe leviţi în locul tuturor întâilor născuţi ai israeliţilor, iar turmele leviţilor în locul turmelor acestora. Leviţii vor fi ai Mei. Eu sunt Domnul.

46 ` And those ransomed of the two hundred and seventy and three (who are more than the Levites) of the first-born of the sons of Israel,

Ca preţ de răscumpărare pentru cei două sute şaptezeci şi trei dintre întâii născuţi ai israeliţilor, care trec peste numărul leviţilor,

47 t hou hast even taken five shekels a-piece by the poll -- by the shekel of the sanctuary thou takest; twenty gerahs the shekel;

să iei cinci şecheli pentru fiecare în parte, după şechelul Lăcaşului (un şechel este douăzeci de ghere).

48 a nd thou hast given the money to Aaron, and to his sons, whereby those over and above are ransomed.'

Să dai argintul acesta, cu care sunt răscumpăraţi cei ce trec peste numărul leviţilor, lui Aaron şi fiilor săi.“

49 A nd Moses taketh the ransom money from those over and above those ransomed by the Levites;

Moise a luat argintul pentru răscumpărare de la cei care erau peste numărul celor răscumpăraţi de leviţi;

50 f rom the first-born of the sons of Israel he hath taken the money, a thousand and three hundred and sixty and five -- by the shekel of the sanctuary;

a luat argintul de la întâii născuţi ai israeliţilor: o mie trei sute şaizeci şi cinci de şecheli, după şechelul Lăcaşului.

51 a nd Moses giveth the money of those ransomed to Aaron, and to his sons, according to the command of Jehovah, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

Moise a dat argintul pentru răscumpărare lui Aaron şi fiilor săi, după Cuvântul Domnului, aşa cum Domnul i-a poruncit lui Moise.
