1 A nd Moses goeth up from the plains of Moab unto mount Nebo, the top of Pisgah, which on the front of Jericho, and Jehovah sheweth him all the land -- Gilead unto Dan,

Moise s-a urcat din câmpiile Moabului pe muntele Nebo, pe vârful Pisga, care este înaintea Ierihonului. Domnul i-a arătat întreaga ţară, de la Ghilad până la Dan,

2 a nd all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah unto the further sea,

ţara lui Neftali, ţara lui Efraim şi a lui Manase, toată ţara lui Iuda până la Marea de Apus,

3 a nd the south, and the circuit of the valley of Jericho, the city of palms, unto Zoar.

Neghevul şi toată regiunea din Valea Ierihonului, Cetatea de Palmieri, până la Ţoar.

4 A nd Jehovah saith unto him, `This the land which I have sworn to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, To thy seed I give it; I have caused thee to see with thine eyes, and thither thou dost not pass over.'

Atunci Domnul i-a vorbit: „Aceasta este ţara pe care am promis-o lui Avraam, lui Isaac şi lui Iacov când am spus: «Seminţei tale i-o voi da!». Te-am lăsat să o vezi, dar nu vei intra în ea.“

5 A nd Moses, servant of the Lord, dieth there, in the land of Moab, according to the command of Jehovah;

Moise, robul Domnului, a murit în ţara Moab, după Cuvântul Domnului.

6 a nd He burieth him in a valley in the land of Moab, over-against Beth-Peor, and no man hath known his burying place unto this day.

El l-a înmormântat în ţara Moab, în valea care este faţă în faţă cu Bet-Peor, dar nimeni nu i-a cunoscut mormântul până în ziua de azi.

7 A nd Moses a son of a hundred and twenty years when he dieth; his eye hath not become dim, nor hath his moisture fled.

Moise era în vârstă de o sută douăzeci de ani când a murit, însă vederea nu-i slăbise şi puterea nu-l părăsise.

8 A nd the sons of Israel bewail Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; and the days of weeping mourning for Moses are completed.

Israeliţii l-au plâns pe Moise în câmpiile Moabului treizeci de zile, după care zilele de plâns şi de doliu pentru Moise s-au încheiat.

9 A nd Joshua son of Nun is full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands upon him, and the sons of Israel hearken unto him, and do as Jehovah commanded Moses.

Iosua, fiul lui Nun, era plin de duhul înţelepciunii, deoarece Moise îşi pusese mâinile peste el. Israeliţii au ascultat de el şi au împlinit ceea ce Domnul i-a poruncit prin Moise.

10 A nd there hath not arisen a prophet any more in Israel like Moses, whom Jehovah hath known face unto face,

De atunci nu s-a mai ridicat în Israel nici un alt profet asemenea lui Moise, pe care Domnul să-l fi cunoscut faţă în faţă.

11 i n reference to all the signs and the wonders which Jehovah sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,

Căci doar pe el Domnul l-a trimis în ţara Egiptului ca să facă toate acele semne şi minuni împotriva lui Faraon, a slujitorilor lui şi împotriva întregii ţări

12 a nd in reference to all the strong hand, and to all the great fear which Moses did before the eyes of all Israel.

şi doar Moise a înfăptuit cu mână tare înaintea întregului Israel, toate acele fapte măreţe.
