1 ` And when a person doth sin, and hath heard the voice of an oath, and he witness, or hath seen, or hath known -- if he declare not, then he hath borne his iniquity:

Dacă cineva, fiind pus sub jurământ ca martor, va păcătui prin faptul că, deşi poate dezvălui ceea ce a văzut sau ştie, totuşi nu o face, îşi va purta pedeapsa.

2 ` Or when a person cometh against any thing unclean, or against a carcase of an unclean beast, or against a carcase of unclean cattle, or against a carcase of an unclean teeming creature, and it hath been hidden from him, and he unclean, and guilty;

Dacă cineva va atinge fără să-şi dea seama vreun lucru necurat, fie hoitul unei fiare necurate, fie hoitul unei vite necurate, fie hoitul unei târâtoare necurate, va fi necurat şi considerat vinovat.

3 ` Or when he cometh against uncleanness of man, even any of his uncleanness whereby he is unclean, and it hath been hidden from him, and he hath known, and hath been guilty:

Sau dacă cineva va atinge fără să-şi dea seama vreo necurăţie omenească, adică orice necurăţie prin care cineva poate ajunge necurat, iar apoi îşi va da seama de acest lucru, va fi considerat vinovat.

4 ` Or when a person sweareth, speaking wrongfully with the lips to do evil, or to do good, even anything which man speaketh wrongfully with an oath, and it hath been hid from him; -- when he hath known then he hath been guilty of one of these;

Dacă cineva va jura pripit că va face bine sau rău cu privire la orice lucru despre care se poate jura şi, deşi nu şi-a dat seama la început, ajunge totuşi să-şi dea seama mai târziu, va fi considerat vinovat.

5 ` And it hath been when he is guilty of one of these, that he hath confessed concerning that which he hath sinned,

Aşadar, dacă cineva se va face vinovat de oricare din aceste fapte, va trebui să-şi mărturisească păcatul săvârşit

6 a nd hath brought in his guilt-offering to Jehovah for his sin which he hath sinned, a female out of the flock, a lamb, or a kid of the goats, for a sin-offering, and the priest hath made atonement for him, because of his sin.

şi să aducă Domnului ca jertfă pentru păcat, o femelă din turmă; să aducă ca jertfă pentru păcat o oaie sau o capră, iar preotul să facă ispăşire pentru păcatul acelui om.

7 ` And if his hand reach not to the sufficiency of a lamb, then he hath brought in his guilt-offering -- he who hath sinned -- two turtle-doves or two young pigeons to Jehovah, one for a sin-offering, and one for a burnt-offering;

Dacă nu poate aduce o oaie, atunci să aducă Domnului ca jertfă pentru păcatul săvârşit două turturele sau doi pui de porumbei, una ca jertfă pentru păcat şi cealaltă ca ardere de tot.

8 a nd he hath brought them in unto the priest, and hath brought near that which for a sin-offering first, and hath wrung off its head from its neck, and doth not separate,

Să le dea preotului care va trebui să aducă, mai întâi, ca jertfă pentru păcat prima turturea, rupându-i capul de la gât, fără să-l desprindă.

9 a nd he hath sprinkled of the blood of the sin-offering on the side of the altar, and that which is left of the blood is wrung out at the foundation of the altar; it a sin-offering.

Apoi va trebui să stropească o latură a altarului cu o parte din sângele jertfei pentru păcat, iar restul sângelui să-l scurgă la baza altarului; aceasta este o jertfă pentru păcat.

10 ` And the second he maketh a burnt-offering, according to the ordinance, and the priest hath made atonement for him, because of his sin which he hath sinned, and it hath been forgiven him.

Cea de-a doua turturea s-o aducă ca ardere de tot, după rânduială. Aşa să facă preotul ispăşire pentru păcatul săvârşit de acel om şi acesta din urmă va fi iertat.

11 ` And if his hand reach not to two turtle-doves, or to two young pigeons, then he hath brought in his offering -- he who hath sinned -- a tenth of an ephah of flour for a sin-offering; he putteth no oil on it, nor doth he put on it frankincense, for it a sin-offering,

Dacă nu poate aduce nici două turturele sau doi pui de porumbei, atunci, cel care a păcătuit să aducă ca jertfă pentru păcatul săvârşit a zecea parte dintr-o efă de făină aleasă; să nu pună nici ulei şi nici tămâie pe ea, căci este o jertfă pentru păcat.

12 a nd he hath brought it in unto the priest, and the priest hath taken a handful from it -- the fulness of his hand -- its memorial -- and hath made perfume on the altar, according to the fire-offerings of Jehovah; it a sin-offering.

S-o ducă la preot şi preotul să ia un pumn de făină ca jertfă de aducere-aminte şi s-o ardă pe altar deasupra jertfelor mistuite de foc pentru Domnul; aceasta este o jertfă pentru păcat.

13 ` And the priest hath made atonement for him, for his sin which he hath sinned against one of these, and it hath been forgiven him, and hath been to the priest, like the present.'

Aşa va trebui să facă preotul ispăşire pentru oricare din aceste păcate pe care omul acela le-a săvârşit şi astfel omul va fi iertat. Ceea ce va mai rămâne din jertfa aceasta să fie a preotului, aşa cum se obişnuieşte şi la darul de mâncare.»“ Jertfa pentru vină

14 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

Domnul i-a mai zis lui Moise:

15 ` When a person committeth a trespass, and hath sinned through ignorance against the holy things of Jehovah, then he hath brought in his guilt-offering to Jehovah, a ram, a perfect one, out of the flock, at thy valuation silver -- shekels by the shekel of the sanctuary -- for a guilt-offering.

„Dacă cineva va săvârşi o nelegiuire şi va păcătui fără voie faţă de oricare din lucrurile sfinte ale Domnului, atunci va trebui să aducă Domnului ca jertfă pentru vină un berbec fără meteahnă din turmă, a cărui valoare în şecheli de argint să o apreciezi tu după valoarea şechelului Lăcaşului; aceasta este o jertfă pentru vină.

16 ` And that which he hath sinned against the holy thing he repayeth, and its fifth is adding to it, and hath given it to the priest, and the priest maketh atonement for him with the ram of the guilt-offering, and it hath been forgiven him.

El să plătească pentru ceea ce a greşit în ce priveşte lucrurile sfinte, adăugând încă o a cincea parte din valoarea berbecului şi încredinţând-o apoi preotului. Preotul să facă ispăşire cu berbecul jertfei pentru vină şi omul acela va fi iertat.

17 ` And when any person sinneth, and hath done one of all the commands of Jehovah which are not to be done, and hath not known, and he hath been guilty, and hath borne his iniquity,

Aşadar, dacă cineva va păcătui fără să-şi dea seama, săvârşind împotriva poruncilor Domnului lucruri care nu trebuie făcute, va fi considerat vinovat şi îşi va purta pedeapsa.

18 ` Then he hath brought in a ram, a perfect one, out of the flock, at thy valuation, for a guilt-offering, unto the priest; and the priest hath made atonement for him, for his ignorance in which he hath erred and he hath not known, and it hath been forgiven him;

El va trebui să aducă preotului, ca jertfă pentru vină, un berbec fără meteahnă din turmă, la aprecierea ta; preotul să facă ispăşire în locul lui pentru nelegiuirea pe care a făcut-o fără voie şi acesta va fi iertat.

19 i t a guilt-offering; he hath been certainly guilty before Jehovah.'

Aceasta este o jertfă pentru vină. Omul acesta s-a făcut vinovat faţă de Domnul. “
