1 A Song of the Ascents. From depths I have called Thee, Jehovah.

Din adâncuri strig, Doamne!

2 L ord, hearken to my voice, Thine ears are attentive to the voice of my supplications.

Stăpâne, ascultă glasul meu! Fie urechile Tale cu luare-aminte la glasul cererii mele!

3 I f iniquities Thou dost observe, O Lord, who doth stand?

Dacă Tu, Stăpâne, ai păstra aducerea aminte a vinii noastre, cine ar putea sta în picioare?

4 B ut with Thee forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.

Dar la Tine este iertarea, ca astfel să fii de temut.

5 I hoped Jehovah -- hoped hath my soul, And for His word I have waited.

Aştept pe Domnul. Sufletul meu aşteaptă şi nădăjduieşte în Cuvântul Lui.

6 M y soul for the Lord, More than those watching for morning, Watching for morning!

Sufletul meu Îl aşteaptă pe Stăpânul mai mult decât aşteaptă străjerii dimineaţa, da, mai mult decât aşteaptă străjerii dimineaţa.

7 I srael doth wait on Jehovah, For with Jehovah kindness, And abundant with Him redemption.

Israele, nădăjduieşte în Domnul, căci îndurarea este a Domnului şi la El găsim belşug de răscumpărare!

8 A nd He doth redeem Israel from all his iniquities!

El îl răscumpără pe Israel din toate vinovăţiile sale.
