1 A nd again he began to teach by the sea, and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he, having gone into the boat, sat in the sea, and all the multitude was near the sea, on the land,

Isus a început din nou să dea învăţătură lângă mare. Se adunase o mulţime aşa de mare în jurul Lui, încât El a trebuit să se suie şi să stea într-o barcă, pe mare, în timp ce întreaga mulţime se afla lângă mare, pe ţărm.

2 a nd he taught them many things in similes, and he said to them in his teaching:

El îi învăţa multe lucruri în pilde şi în învăţătura Lui le spunea:

3 ` Hearken, lo, the sower went forth to sow;

„Ascultaţi! Iată, semănătorul a ieşit să semene!

4 a nd it came to pass, in the sowing, some fell by the way, and the fowls of the heaven did come and devour it;

În timp ce semăna el, o parte din sămânţă a căzut lângă drum şi au venit păsările şi au mâncat-o.

5 a nd other fell upon the rocky ground, where it had not much earth, and immediately it sprang forth, because of not having depth of earth,

O altă parte a căzut în locuri stâncoase, unde nu avea pământ mult. A răsărit repede, pentru că nu avea pământ adânc,

6 a nd the sun having risen, it was scorched, and because of not having root it did wither;

dar când a răsărit soarele, s-a ofilit şi, fiindcă nu avea rădăcină, s-a uscat.

7 a nd other fell toward the thorns, and the thorns did come up, and choke it, and fruit it gave not;

O altă parte a căzut între spini, iar spinii au crescut şi au sufocat-o, aşa că nu a dat rod.

8 a nd other fell to the good ground, and was giving fruit, coming up and increasing, and it bare, one thirty-fold, and one sixty, and one an hundred.'

Alta însă a căzut în pământ bun şi a dat rod care s-a înălţat şi a crescut: un grăunte a rodit treizeci, altul – şaizeci şi altul – o sută.“

9 A nd he said to them, `He who is having ears to hear -- let him hear.'

Apoi le zicea: „Cine are urechi de auzit, să audă!“

10 A nd when he was alone, those about him, with the twelve, did ask him of the simile,

Când a fost singur, cei din jurul Lui împreună cu cei doisprezece L-au întrebat despre pilde.

11 a nd he said to them, `To you it hath been given to know the secret of the reign of God, but to those who are without, in similes are all the things done;

El le-a zis: „Vouă v-a fost dată taina Împărăţiei lui Dumnezeu, dar pentru cei de afară toate li se spun în pilde,

12 t hat seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand, lest they may turn, and the sins may be forgiven them.'

pentru ca «Să privească mereu, dar să nu priceapă şi să asculte întruna, dar să nu înţeleagă, ca nu cumva să se întoarcă la Mine şi să fie iertaţi!»“

13 A nd he saith to them, `Have ye not known this simile? and how shall ye know all the similes?

Apoi le-a zis: „Dacă nu înţelegeţi această pildă, cum veţi înţelege toate celelalte pilde?

14 H e who is sowing doth sow the word;

Semănătorul seamănă Cuvântul.

15 a nd these are they by the way where the word is sown: and whenever they may hear, immediately cometh the Adversary, and he taketh away the word that hath been sown in their hearts.

Sămânţa de lângă drum, unde este semănat Cuvântul, sunt cei care aud Cuvântul, dar vine imediat Satan şi ia Cuvântul care a fost semănat în ei.

16 ` And these are they, in like manner, who on the rocky ground are sown: who, whenever they may hear the word, immediately with joy do receive it,

Sămânţa semănată în locuri stâncoase sunt cei care, atunci când aud Cuvântul, îl primesc imediat cu bucurie,

17 a nd have not root in themselves, but are temporary; afterward tribulation or persecution having come because of the word, immediately they are stumbled.

dar nu au rădăcină în ei, ci durează doar pentru o vreme. Şi când vine necazul sau persecuţia din pricina Cuvântului, ei se poticnesc imediat.

18 ` And these are they who toward the thorns are sown: these are they who are hearing the word,

O altă sămânţă, care este cea semănată între spini, sunt cei care aud Cuvântul,

19 a nd the anxieties of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, and the desires concerning the other things, entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

dar îngrijorările vieţii, înşelăciunea bogăţiei şi poftele pentru alte lucruri intră în ei, sufocă Cuvântul şi acesta devine neroditor.

20 ` And these are they who on the good ground have been sown: who do hear the word, and receive, and do bear fruit, one thirty-fold, and one sixty, and one an hundred.'

Sămânţa semănată în pământul cel bun sunt cei care aud Cuvântul, îl primesc şi aduc rod: unul – treizeci, altul – şaizeci şi altul – o sută.“ Pilda felinarului

21 A nd he said to them, `Doth the lamp come that under the measure it may be put, or under the couch -- not that it may be put on the lamp-stand?

El le-a mai zis: „Oare se aduce felinarul ca să fie pus sub un obroc sau sub un pat?! Nu este adus el ca să fie pus pe un suport?

22 f or there is not anything hid that may not be manifested, nor was anything kept hid but that it may come to light.

Căci nu este nimic ascuns care nu va fi dezvăluit şi nu este nimic tăinuit care nu va ieşi la iveală!

23 I f any hath ears to hear -- let him hear.'

Dacă are cineva urechi de auzit, să audă!

24 A nd he said to them, `Take heed what ye hear; in what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you; and to you who hear it shall be added;

Fiţi atenţi la ceea ce auziţi! Cu ce măsură măsuraţi, vi se va măsura şi vi se va adăuga şi mai mult!

25 f or whoever may have, there shall be given to him, and whoever hath not, also that which he hath shall be taken from him.'

Căci celui ce are i se va da, dar de la cel ce n-are i se va lua chiar şi ce are!“ Pilda cu sămânţa care creşte

26 A nd he said, `Thus is the reign of God: as if a man may cast the seed on the earth,

El a mai zis: „Cu Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu este ca şi cu un om care aruncă sămânţă în pământ.

27 a nd may sleep, and may rise night and day, and the seed spring up and grow, he hath not known how;

Fie că el doarme noaptea sau este treaz ziua, sămânţa încolţeşte şi creşte fără să ştie el cum.

28 f or of itself doth the earth bear fruit, first a blade, afterwards an ear, afterwards full corn in the ear;

Pământul rodeşte de la sine – mai întâi firul verde, apoi spicul, iar apoi întregul bob de grâu în spic.

29 a nd whenever the fruit may yield itself, immediately he doth send forth the sickle, because the harvest hath come.'

Când grâul este copt, pune imediat secera în el, pentru că a sosit secerişul.“ Pilda bobului de muştar

30 A nd he said, `To what may we liken the reign of God, or in what simile may we compare it?

El a mai zis: „Cu ce să asemănăm Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu sau prin ce pildă am putea s-o descriem?

31 A s a grain of mustard, which, whenever it may be sown on the earth, is less than any of the seeds that are on the earth;

Ea este ca un bob de muştar, care, atunci când este semănat în pământ, este cel mai mic dintre toate seminţele de pe pământ,

32 a nd whenever it may be sown, it cometh up, and doth become greater than any of the herbs, and doth make great branches, so that under its shade the fowls of the heaven are able to rest.'

dar după ce este semănat, el creşte, ajunge mai mare decât toate zarzavaturile şi face ramuri mari, aşa încât păsările îşi pot face cuibul la umbra lor.“

33 A nd with many such similes he was speaking to them the word, as they were able to hear,

Şi prin multe astfel de pilde El le vestea Cuvântul, după cum erau ei în stare să-l asculte.

34 a nd without a simile he was not speaking to them, and by themselves, to his disciples he was expounding all.

Nu le vorbea deloc fără să folosească vreo pildă. Dar când era doar El cu ucenicii Lui deoparte, le explica toate lucrurile. Isus linişteşte furtuna

35 A nd he saith to them on that day, evening having come, `We may pass over to the other side;'

În aceeaşi zi, când s-a lăsat seara, le-a zis: „Să traversăm în partea cealaltă!“

36 a nd having let away the multitude, they take him up as he was in the boat, and other little boats also were with him.

Au lăsat mulţimea şi L-au luat aşa cum era, în barcă. Împreună cu El mai erau şi alte bărci.

37 A nd there cometh a great storm of wind, and the waves were beating on the boat, so that it is now being filled,

S-a stârnit o furtună foarte puternică, care arunca valurile asupra bărcii, aşa încât barca era aproape plină cu apă.

38 a nd he himself was upon the stern, upon the pillow sleeping, and they wake him up, and say to him, `Teacher, art thou not caring that we perish?'

El era în partea din spate a bărcii, dormind pe căpătâi. L-au trezit şi I-au spus: „Învăţătorule, nu-Ţi pasă că pierim?!“

39 A nd having waked up, he rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, `Peace, be stilled;' and the wind did lull, and there was a great calm:

El S-a sculat, a mustrat vântul şi a zis mării: „Taci! Linişteşte-te!“ Vântul s-a oprit şi s-a făcut o linişte mare.

40 a nd he said to them, `Why are ye so fearful? how have ye not faith?'

Apoi le-a zis: „De ce sunteţi atât de fricoşi? Tot n-aveţi credinţă?“

41 a nd they feared a great fear, and said one to another, `Who, then, is this, that even the wind and the sea do obey him?'

Ei s-au înfricoşat foarte tare şi-şi ziceau unii altora: „Cine este Acesta, de-L ascultă până şi vântul, şi marea?“
