1 A nd his own house hath Solomon built thirteen years, and he finisheth all his house.

2 A nd he buildeth the house of the forest of Lebanon; a hundred cubits its length, and fifty cubits its breadth, and thirty cubits its height, on four rows of cedar pillars, and cedar-beams on the pillars;

4 A nd windows in three rows, and sight over-against sight three times.

Erau trei rânduri de ferestre aşezate faţă în faţă, pe trei nivele.

5 A nd all the openings and the side-posts square -- windows; and sight over-against sight three times.

Toate uşile şi toţi uşorii erau în patru muchii, iar ferestrele erau aşezate faţă în faţă, pe trei nivele.

6 A nd the porch of the pillars he hath made; fifty cubits its length, and thirty cubits its breadth, and the porch before them, and pillars and a thick place before them.

Solomon a făcut o colonadă de cincizeci de coţi lungime şi treizeci de coţi lăţime. În faţa ei se afla un portic cu stâlpi, iar înaintea acestuia – o cornişă.

7 A nd the porch of the throne where he judgeth -- the porch of judgment -- he hath made, and covered with cedar from the floor unto the floor.

El a făcut, de asemenea, porticul tronului unde judeca, numit „Porticul de judecată“, şi l-a acoperit cu cedru, de la pardoseală până la tavan.

8 A s to his house where he dwelleth, the other court within the porch -- as this work it hath been; and a house he maketh for the daughter of Pharaoh -- whom Solomon hath taken -- like this porch.

Palatul în care urma să locuiască era aşezat într-o altă curte din spatele porticului şi era zidit în acelaşi fel. De asemenea, Solomon a zidit pentru fiica lui Faraon, pe care o luase de soţie, un alt palat asemenea acestui portic.

9 A ll these of precious stone, according to the measures of hewn work, sawn with a saw, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and at the outside, unto the great court.

Toate aceste clădiri au fost făcute din pietre costisitoare, tăiate cu ferăstrăul după măsurile de tăiat, atât pe faţa din interior, cât şi pe faţa din exterior a zidului, de la temelie până la creastă şi din exterior până la curtea cea mare.

10 A nd the foundation of precious stone, great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits;

Temeliile erau din pietre mari şi costisitoare, unele de zece coţi, iar altele de opt coţi.

11 a nd above precious stone, according to the measures of hewn work, and cedar;

Deasupra se aflau pietre costisitoare, tăiate după măsurile de tăiat şi grinzi de cedru.

12 a nd the great court round about three rows of hewn work, and a row of cedar-beams, even for the inner court of the house of Jehovah, and for the porch of the house.

Curtea cea mare era împrejmuită cu un zid de trei rânduri de pietre cioplite şi un rând de grinzi de cedru, ca şi curtea interioară a Casei Domnului şi ca porticul acesteia. Lucrările din bronz ale lui Hiram şi uneltele Casei Domnului

13 A nd king Solomon sendeth and taketh Hiram out of Tyre --

Regele Solomon a trimis la Tir pe cineva care l-a adus pe Hiram,

14 h e son of a woman, a widow, of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father a man of Tyre, a worker in brass, and he is filled with the wisdom and the understanding, and the knowledge to do all work in brass -- and he cometh unto king Solomon, and doth all his work.

fiul unei văduve din seminţia lui Neftali. Tatăl său fusese tirian, un lucrător în bronz. Hiram era plin de înţelepciune, de pricepere şi de cunoaştere în întocmirea oricărei lucrări din bronz. El a venit la regele Solomon şi i-a făcut toată lucrarea.

15 A nd he formeth the two pillars of brass; eighteen cubits the height of the one pillar, and a cord of twelve cubits doth compass the second pillar.

El a turnat doi stâlpi de bronz. Un stâlp avea o înălţime de optsprezece coţi, iar grosimea lui se putea măsura cu un fir de doisprezece coţi; cel de-al doilea stâlp era la fel.

16 A nd two chapiters he hath made to put on the tops of the pillars, cast in brass; five cubits the height of the one chapiter, and five cubits the height of the second chapiter.

El a turnat şi două capiteluri de bronz, ca să le pună pe vârfurile stâlpilor, fiecare capitel având o înălţime de cinci coţi.

17 N ets of net-work, wreaths of chain-work for the chapiters that on the top of the pillars, seven for the one chapiter, and seven for the second chapiter.

Apoi a făcut nişte reţele de lanţuri împletite pentru capitelurile care se aflau pe vârful stâlpilor, câte şapte pentru fiecare capitel.

18 A nd he maketh the pillars, and two rows round about on the one net-work, to cover the chapiters that on the top, with the pomegranates, and so he hath made for the second chapiter.

A făcut stâlpii şi două şiruri de rodii, care înconjurau fiecare reţea, pentru a împodobi capitelurile de pe vârful stâlpilor. A făcut acelaşi lucru pentru fiecare capitel.

19 A nd the chapiters that on the top of the pillars of lily-work in the porch, four cubits;

Capitelurile care se aflau pe vârful stâlpilor, în portic, erau în formă de crini şi aveau patru coţi.

20 a nd the chapiters on the two pillars also above, over-against the protuberance that beside the net; and the pomegranates two hundred, in rows round about on the second chapiter.

Pe capitelurile de pe cei doi stâlpi, deasupra părţii în formă de cupă de lângă reţea, se aflau două sute de rodii aşezate în şiruri de jur împrejur.

21 A nd he raiseth up the pillars for the porch of the temple, and he raiseth up the right pillar, and calleth its name Jachin, and he raiseth up the left pillar, and calleth its name Boaz;

A ridicat stâlpii în faţa porticului odăii principale. L-a aşezat pe cel din dreapta şi l-a numit Iachin, apoi l-a aşezat pe cel din stânga şi l-a numit Boaz.

22 a nd on the top of the pillars lily-work; and the work of the pillars completed.

Capitelurile de pe vârful stâlpilor erau în formă de crin. Şi astfel, lucrarea stâlpilor s-a încheiat.

23 A nd he maketh the molten sea, ten by the cubit from its edge unto its edge; round all about, and five by the cubit its height, and a line of thirty by the cubit doth compass it round about;

Apoi a făcut „marea“ turnată. Aceasta era rotundă, avea zece coţi de la o margine la cealaltă, era înaltă de cinci coţi, iar de jur împrejur se putea măsura cu un fir de treizeci de coţi.

24 a nd knops beneath its brim round about are compassing it, ten by the cubit, going round the sea round about; in two rows the knops, cast in its being cast.

Sub marginea ei, de jur împrejur, se aflau ornamente în formă de tărtăcuţă, câte zece la fiecare cot, de jur împrejurul „mării“. Ornamentele erau aşezate în două şiruri, fiind turnate dintr-o singură piesă cu „ marea “.

25 I t is standing on twelve oxen, three facing the north, and three facing the west, and three facing the south, and three facing the east, and the sea upon them above, and all their hinder parts inward.

„Marea“ era aşezată pe doisprezece boi, trei orientaţi spre nord, trei orientaţi spre apus, trei orientaţi spre sud şi trei orientaţi spre răsărit. „Marea“ era aşezată deasupra lor, astfel încât toată partea din spate a trupurilor lor era înspre interior.

26 A nd its thickness an handbreadth, and its edge as the work of the edge of a cup, flowers of lilies; two thousand baths it containeth.

Grosimea ei era de un lat de palmă, iar marginea ei era prelucrată ca marginea unui potir, precum cupa unei flori de crin. Ea putea cuprinde două mii de baţi de lichid.

27 A nd he maketh the ten bases of brass; four by the cubit the length of the one base, and four by the cubit its breadth, and three by the cubit its height.

El a făcut şi zece piedestale de bronz, fiecare piedestal având patru coţi lungime, patru coţi lăţime şi trei coţi înălţime.

28 A nd this the work of the base: they have borders, and the borders between the joinings;

Piedestalele au fost făcute în felul următor: ele aveau panele fixate în rame.

29 a nd on the borders that between the joinings lions, oxen, and cherubs, and on the joinings a base above, and beneath the lions and the oxen additions -- sloping work.

Pe aceste panele fixate în rame, cât şi pe rame, erau sculptaţi lei, boi şi heruvimi. Deasupra şi dedesubtul leilor şi boilor se aflau ghirlande suspendate.

30 A nd four wheels of brass to the one base, and axles of brass; and its four corners have shoulders -- under the laver the molten shoulders, beside each addition.

Fiecare piedestal avea câte patru roţi de bronz, cu osii de bronz, iar la cele patru colţuri ale sale se aflau suporţi decoraţi cu ghirlande de fiecare parte, pe care era fixat un bazin.

31 A nd its mouth within the chapiter and above by the cubit, and its mouth round, the work of the base, a cubit and half a cubit; and also on its mouth carvings and their borders, square, not round.

Deschizătura lui din interiorul centurii pe care se aflau gravuri ieşea în afară un cot şi era rotundă, măsurând împreună cu baza ei un cot şi jumătate; dar ramele piedestalelor erau pătrate, nu rotunde.

32 A nd the four wheels under the borders, and the spokes of the wheels in the base, and the height of the one wheel a cubit and half a cubit.

Cele patru roţi erau fixate sub panele, iar osiile lor erau prinse de piedestal. Diametrul fiecărei roţi era de un cot şi jumătate.

33 A nd the work of the wheels as the work of the wheel of a chariot, their spokes, and their axles, and their felloes, and their naves; the whole molten.

Roţile erau lucrate ca roţile unui car: osiile, obezile, spiţele şi butucii lor erau toţi turnaţi.

34 A nd four shoulders unto the four corners of the one base; out of the base its shoulders.

La cele patru colţuri ale fiecărui piedestal se aflau patru suporţi care erau dintr-o singură piesă cu piedestalul.

35 A nd in the top of the base the half of a cubit in the height all round about; and on the top of the base its spokes and its borders of the same.

În partea de sus a piedestalului se afla o centură rotundă, de o jumătate de cot înălţime, iar suporţii şi ramele din partea de sus a piedestalului erau dintr-o singură piesă cu acesta.

36 A nd he openeth on the tablets of its spokes, and on its borders, cherubs, lions, and palm-trees, according to the void space of each, and additions round about.

Pe suprafeţele ramelor şi a suporţilor, au fost sculptaţi heruvimi, lei şi palmieri şi ghirlande de jur împrejur.

37 T hus he hath made the ten bases; one casting, one measure, one form, have they all.

Aşa a făcut el cele zece piedestale. Toate au fost turnate după acelaşi tipar, având aceeaşi măsură şi aceeaşi formă.

38 A nd he maketh ten lavers of brass; forty baths doth the one laver contain, four by the cubit the one laver, one laver on the one base to the ten bases;

Apoi el a construit zece bazine de bronz, fiecare putând cuprinde patruzeci de baţi şi măsurând patru coţi. Fiecare bazin era aşezat pe câte unul dintre cele zece piedestale.

39 a nd he putteth the five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house, and the sea he hath put on the right side of the house, eastward -- over-against the south.

A pus cinci dintre piedestale în partea dreaptă şi cinci în partea stângă a Casei, iar „marea“ a aşezat-o în partea dreaptă, în colţul de sud-est al clădirii.

40 A nd Hiram maketh the lavers, and the shovels, and the bowls; and Hiram completeth to do all the work that he made for king Solomon, the house of Jehovah;

Hiram a mai făcut şi oalele, lopeţile şi cupele. Şi astfel, Hiram a încheiat toată lucrarea pe care a făcut-o pentru regele Solomon la Casa Domnului:

41 p illars two, and bowls of the chapiters that on the top of the pillars two, and the nets two, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that on the top of the pillars;

cei doi stâlpi, cele două cupe ale capitelurilor care se aflau pe vârfurile stâlpilor, cele două seturi de reţele care împodobeau cele două cupe ale capitelurilor de pe vârfurile stâlpilor,

42 a nd the pomegranates four hundred for the two nets, two rows of pomegranates for the one net, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that on the front of the pillars;

cele patru sute de rodii pentru cele două seturi de reţele, cele două şiruri de rodii pentru fiecare reţea în parte, reţele care acopereau cele două cupe ale capitelurilor de pe vârfurile stâlpilor,

43 a nd the ten bases, and the ten lavers on the bases;

cele zece piedestale şi cele zece bazine de pe piedestale,

44 a nd the one sea, the twelve oxen under the sea,

„marea“ cu cei doisprezece boi de sub ea,

45 a nd the pots, and the shovels, and the bowls; and all these vessels, that Hiram hath made to king Solomon the house of Jehovah, of brass -- polished.

oalele, lopeţile şi cupele. Toate aceste obiecte pe care Hiram i le-a făcut regelui Solomon pentru Casa Domnului erau din bronz lustruit.

46 I n the circuit of the Jordan hath the king cast them, in the thick soil of the ground, between Succoth and Zarthan.

Regele le-a turnat într-un pământ argilos din Câmpia Iordanului, undeva între Sucot şi Ţortan.

47 A nd Solomon placeth the whole of the vessels; because of the very great abundance, the weight of the brass hath not been searched out.

Solomon a lăsat toate aceste obiecte necântărite, pentru că erau foarte multe; de aceea greutatea bronzului nu s-a putut cântări.

48 A nd Solomon maketh all the vessels that in the house of Jehovah: the altar of gold, and the table -- on which the bread of the Presence -- of gold,

De asemenea, Solomon a făcut toate obiectele care erau în Casa Domnului: altarul de aur, masa de aur pentru pâinea prezentării,

49 a nd the candlesticks, five on the right, and five on the left, before the oracle, of refined gold, and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold,

50 a nd the basins, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the censers, of refined gold, and the hinges for the doors of the inner-house, for the holy of holies, for the doors of the house of the temple, of gold.

lighenele, mucarniţele, cupele, ceştile şi cădelniţele din aur curat, precum şi balamalele de aur pentru uşile din interiorul Casei (de la intrarea în Locul Preasfânt) şi pentru uşile de la odaia principală a Casei.

51 A nd it is complete -- all the work that king Solomon hath made the house of Jehovah, and Solomon bringeth in the sanctified things of David his father; the silver, and the gold, and the vessels he hath put in the treasuries of the house of Jehovah.

După ce a fost terminată toată lucrarea pe care regele Solomon a făcut-o la Casa Domnului, Solomon a adus lucrurile pe care tatăl său, David, le închinase Domnului – şi anume argintul, aurul şi vasele – şi le-a pus în vistieriile Casei Domnului.
