1 A nd Jehovah saith to Noah, `Come in, thou and all thy house, unto the ark, for thee I have seen righteous before Me in this generation;

Allora l'Eterno disse a Noè: «Entra nell'arca tu con tutta la tua famiglia, perché ti ho visto giusto davanti a me, in questa generazione.

2 o f all the clean beasts thou dost take to thee seven pairs, a male and its female; and of the beasts which are not clean two, a male and its female;

Di ogni specie di animali puri prendine sette coppie, maschio e femmina; e degli animali impuri una coppia, maschio e femmina;

3 a lso, of fowl of the heavens seven pairs, a male and a female, to keep alive seed on the face of all the earth;

anche degli uccelli del cielo prendine sette coppie, maschio e femmina, per conservarne in vita il seme sulla faccia di tutta la terra;

4 f or after other seven days I am sending rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and have wiped away all the substance that I have made from off the face of the ground.'

poiché fra sette giorni farò piovere sulla terra per quaranta giorni e quaranta notti, e sterminerò dalla faccia della terra tutti gli esseri viventi che ho fatto».

5 A nd Noah doth according to all that Jehovah hath commanded him:

Noè fece esattamente tutto ciò che l'Eterno gli aveva comandato.

6 a nd Noah a son of six hundred years, and the deluge of waters hath been upon the earth.

Noè aveva seicento anni quando venne sulla terra il diluvio delle acque.

7 A nd Noah goeth in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, unto the ark, from the presence of the waters of the deluge;

Così Noè entrò nell'arca con i suoi figli, sua moglie e le mogli dei suoi figli, a motivo delle acque del diluvio.

8 o f the clean beasts and of the beasts that not clean, and of the fowl, and of every thing that is creeping upon the ground,

Degli animali puri e degli animali impuri, degli uccelli e di tutto quello che striscia sulla terra,

9 t wo by two they have come in unto Noah, unto the ark, a male and a female, as God hath commanded Noah.

vennero a due a due da Noè, nell'arca. maschio e femmina, come DIO aveva comandato a Noè.

10 A nd it cometh to pass, after the seventh of the days, that waters of the deluge have been on the earth.

Al termine dei sette giorni, avvenne che le acque del diluvio furono sopra la terra.

11 I n the six hundredth year of the life of Noah, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, in this day have been broken up all fountains of the great deep, and the net-work of the heavens hath been opened,

Nell'anno seicentesimo della vita di Noè nel secondo mese, nel diciassettesimo giorno del mese, in quel giorno, tutte le Fonti del grande abisso scoppiarono e le cateratte del cielo si aprirono.

12 a nd the shower is on the earth forty days and forty nights.

E piovve sulla terra per quaranta giorni e quaranta notti.

13 I n this self-same day went in Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, sons of Noah, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them, unto the ark;

In quello stesso giorno entrarono nell'arca Noè e i figli di Noè, Sem, Cam e Jafet, e la moglie di Noè e le tre mogli dei suoi figli con loro;

14 t hey, and every living creature after its kind, and every beast after its kind, and every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth after its kind, and every fowl after its kind, every bird -- every wing.

essi e tutte le fiere secondo la loro specie, e tutto il bestiame secondo la loro specie, e tutti i rettili che strisciano sulla terra secondo la loro specie, e tutti gli uccelli secondo la loro specie, tutti gli uccelli di ogni sorta.

15 A nd they come in unto Noah, unto the ark, two by two of all the flesh in which a living spirit;

Questi vennero da Noè, nell'arca, a due a due, di ogni carne in cui vi è alito di vita;

16 a nd they that are coming in, male and female of all flesh, have come in as God hath commanded him, and Jehovah doth close for him.

entrarono maschio e femmina di ogni carne, come DIO aveva comandato a Noè; poi l'Eterno li chiuse dentro.

17 A nd the deluge is forty days on the earth, and the waters multiply, and lift up the ark, and it is raised up from off the earth;

E il diluvio venne sopra la terra per quaranta giorni; e le acque crebbero e sollevarono l'arca, che si alzò in alto sopra la terra.

18 a nd the waters are mighty, and multiply exceedingly upon the earth; and the ark goeth on the face of the waters.

Le acque ingrossarono e crebbero grandemente sopra la terra e l'arca galleggiava sulla superficie delle acque.

19 A nd the waters have been very very mighty on the earth, and covered are all the high mountains which under the whole heavens;

E le acque ingrossarono con grande forza sopra la terra; e tutte le alte montagne che erano sotto tutto il cielo furono coperte.

20 f ifteen cubits upwards have the waters become mighty, and the mountains are covered;

Le acque si alzarono quindici cubiti al di sopra di esse; e le montagne furono coperte.

21 a nd expire doth all flesh that is moving on the earth, among fowl, and among cattle, and among beasts, and among all the teeming things which are teeming on the earth, and all mankind;

Così perì ogni carne che si muoveva sulla terra: uccelli, bestiame, fiere, rettili di ogni sorta striscianti sulla terra e tutti gli uomini.

22 a ll in whose nostrils breath of a living spirit -- of all that in the dry land -- have died.

Tutto quello che era sulla terra asciutta ed aveva alito di vita nelle sue narici morì.

23 A nd wiped away is all the substance that is on the face of the ground, from man unto beast, unto creeping thing, and unto fowl of the heavens; yea, they are wiped away from the earth, and only Noah is left, and those who with him in the ark;

E tutti gli esseri viventi che erano sulla faccia della terra furono sterminati: dall'uomo fino al bestiame ai rettili e agli uccelli del cielo; essi furono sterminati dalla terra e non scampò che Noè con quelli che erano con lui nell'arca.

24 a nd the waters are mighty on the earth a hundred and fifty days.

E le acque copersero la terra per centocinquanta giorni.
