1 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `See, I have given thee a god to Pharaoh, and Aaron thy brother is thy prophet;

L'Eterno disse a Mosè: «Vedi io ti faccio come dio per il Faraone, e tuo fratello Aaronne sarà il tuo profeta.

2 t hou -- thou dost speak all that I command thee, and Aaron thy brother doth speak unto Pharaoh, and he hath sent the sons of Israel out of his land.

Tu dirai tutto quello che ti ordinerò e tuo fratello Aaronne parlerà al Faraone perché lasci partire i figli d'Israele dal suo paese.

3 ` And I harden the heart of Pharaoh, and have multiplied My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt,

Ma io indurirò il cuore del Faraone e moltiplicherò i miei segni e i miei prodigi nel paese d'Egitto.

4 a nd Pharaoh doth not hearken, and I have put My hand on Egypt, and have brought out My hosts, My people, the sons of Israel, from the land of Egypt by great judgments;

Perciò il Faraone non vi darà ascolto, e così io stenderò la mia mano sull'Egitto e farò uscire dal paese d'Egitto le mie schiere, il mio popolo, i figli d'Israele, mediante grandi castighi.

5 a nd the Egyptians have known that I Jehovah, in My stretching out My hand against Egypt; and I have brought out the sons of Israel from their midst.'

Gli Egiziani conosceranno allora che io sono l'Eterno, quando distenderò la mia mano sull'Egitto e farò uscire di mezzo a loro i figli d'Israele».

6 A nd Moses doth -- Aaron also -- as Jehovah commanded them; so have they done;

E Mosè e Aaronne fecero così; essi fecero esattamente come l'Eterno aveva loro ordinato.

7 a nd Moses a son of eighty years, and Aaron a son of eighty and three years, in their speaking unto Pharaoh.

Quando parlarono al Faraone, Mosè aveva ottant'anni e Aaronne ottantatre.

8 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

L'Eterno parlò a Mosè e ad Aaronne, dicendo:

9 ` When Pharaoh speaketh unto you, saying, Give for yourselves a wonder; then thou hast said unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast before Pharaoh -- it becometh a monster.'

«Quando il Faraone vi parlerà e vi dirà: "Fate un prodigio". tu dirai ad Aaronne: "Prendi i tuo bastone e gettalo davanti a Faraone. perché divenga un serpente"».

10 A nd Moses goeth in -- Aaron also -- unto Pharaoh, and they do so as Jehovah hath commanded; and Aaron casteth his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it becometh a monster.

Mosè ed Aaronne andarono dunque da Faraone e fecero così, esattamente come l'Eterno aveva ordinato. Aaronne gettò il suo bastone davanti al Faraone e davanti ai suoi servitori. ed esso diventò un serpente.

11 A nd Pharaoh also calleth for wise men, and for sorcerers; and the scribes of Egypt, they also, with their flashings, do so,

Allora anche il Faraone chiamò i savi e gli incantatori; e i maghi d'Egitto con le loro arti occulte fecero anch'essi la stessa cosa.

12 a nd they cast down each his rod, and they become monsters, and the rod of Aaron swalloweth their rods;

Ognuno di essi gettò i suo bastone, e i bastoni diventarono serpenti; ma il bastone di Aaronne ingoiò i loro bastoni.

13 a nd the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken.

Ma il cuore del Faraone s'indurì ed egli non diede loro ascolto, come l'Eterno aveva detto.

14 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `The heart of Pharaoh hath been hard, he hath refused to send the people away;

L'Eterno disse a Mosè: «Il cuore del Faraone è ostinato;

15 g o unto Pharaoh in the morning, lo, he is going out to the water, and thou hast stood to meet him by the edge of the River, and the rod which was turned to a serpent thou dost take in thy hand,

egli rifiuta di lasciare andare il popolo. Va' da Faraone domani mattina, quando uscirà per andare verso l'acqua. Ti fermerai ad aspettarlo sulla riva del fiume e prenderai in mano il bastone che è stato mutato in serpente.

16 a nd thou hast said unto him: Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, hath sent me unto thee, saying, Send My people away, and they serve Me in the wilderness; and lo, thou hast not hearkened hitherto.

gli dirai: "L'Eterno, il DIO degli Ebrei, mi ha mandato da te per dirti: lascia andare il mio popolo perché mi serva nel deserto; ma ecco, finora tu non hai ascoltato".

17 ` Thus said Jehovah: By this thou knowest that I Jehovah; lo, I am smiting with the rod which in my hand, on the waters which in the River, and they have been turned to blood,

Così dice l'Eterno: "Da questo conoscerai che io sono l'Eterno; ecco, col bastone che ho nella mia mano io percuoterò le acque che sono nel fiume, ed esse saranno cambiate in sangue.

18 a nd the fish that in the River die, and the River hath stank, and the Egyptians have been wearied of drinking waters from the River.'

E i pesci che sono nel fiume moriranno, e il fiume puzzerà, e gli Egiziani avranno schifo a bere l'acqua del fiume"».

19 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thy hand against the waters of Egypt, against their streams, against their rivers, and against their ponds, and against all their collections of waters; and they are blood -- and there hath been blood in all the land of Egypt, both in wood, and in stone.'

E l'Eterno disse a Mosè: «Di' ad Aaronne: "Prendi il tuo bastone e stendi la tua mano sulle acque dell'Egitto, sui loro fiumi, sui loro canali, sui loro stagni e su tutti i loro depositi d'acqua; così essi diventeranno sangue. E vi sarà sangue per tutto il paese d'Egitto, tanto nei recipienti di legno che nei recipienti di pietra"».

20 A nd Moses and Aaron do so, as Jehovah hath commanded, and he lifteth up with the rod, and smiteth the waters which in the River, before the eyes of Pharaoh, and before the eyes of his servants, and all the waters which in the River are turned to blood,

Mosè ed Aaronne Fecero così, esattamente come l'Eterno aveva loro ordinato. Così egli alzò il bastone e percosse le acque che erano nel fiume, davanti agli occhi del Faraone e davanti agli occhi dei suoi servitori; e tutte le acque che erano nel fiume furono cambiate in sangue.

21 a nd the fish which in the River hath died, and the River stinketh, and the Egyptians have not been able to drink water from the River; and the blood is in all the land of Egypt.

E i pesci che erano nel fiume morirono; e il fiume divenne puzzolente, si che gli Egiziani non potevano più bere l'acqua del fiume. Così vi fu sangue per tutto il paese d'Egitto.

22 A nd the scribes of Egypt do so with their flashings, and the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken,

Ma i maghi d'Egitto fecero la stessa cosa con le loro arti occulte; e il cuore del Faraone si indurì ed egli non diede loro ascolto, come l'Eterno aveva detto.

23 a nd Pharaoh turneth and goeth in unto his house, and hath not set his heart even to this;

Il Faraone quindi si voltò e se ne andò a casa sua; e non fece caso neppure a questo.

24 a nd all the Egyptians seek water round about the river to drink, for they have not been able to drink of the waters of the River.

tutti gli Egiziani scavarono nei dintorni del fiume in cerca d'acqua da bere, perché non potevano bere l'acqua del fiume.

25 A nd seven days are completed after Jehovah's smiting the River,

Passarono così sette giorni, dopo che l'Eterno aveva percosso il fiume.
