1 A nd Jehovah saith to Noah, `Come in, thou and all thy house, unto the ark, for thee I have seen righteous before Me in this generation;
Then the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the boat, you and all your family. For I have seen that you only are right and good at this time.
2 o f all the clean beasts thou dost take to thee seven pairs, a male and its female; and of the beasts which are not clean two, a male and its female;
Take with you seven of every clean animal of each sex, and one of each sex of the animals that are unclean.
3 a lso, of fowl of the heavens seven pairs, a male and a female, to keep alive seed on the face of all the earth;
And take with you seven of every kind of bird of the sky of each sex, to keep their kind alive over all the earth.
4 f or after other seven days I am sending rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and have wiped away all the substance that I have made from off the face of the ground.'
In seven days I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights. I will destroy from the land every living thing that I have made.”
5 A nd Noah doth according to all that Jehovah hath commanded him:
And Noah did all that the Lord told him to do.
6 a nd Noah a son of six hundred years, and the deluge of waters hath been upon the earth.
Noah was 600 years old when the flood of water came upon the earth.
7 A nd Noah goeth in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, unto the ark, from the presence of the waters of the deluge;
Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives all went into the large boat because of the water of the flood.
8 o f the clean beasts and of the beasts that not clean, and of the fowl, and of every thing that is creeping upon the ground,
Clean animals and animals that were unclean and birds and every thing that moved on the ground
9 t wo by two they have come in unto Noah, unto the ark, a male and a female, as God hath commanded Noah.
went into the large boat with Noah. They went two by two, male and female, just as God had told Noah.
10 A nd it cometh to pass, after the seventh of the days, that waters of the deluge have been on the earth.
After seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth.
11 I n the six hundredth year of the life of Noah, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, in this day have been broken up all fountains of the great deep, and the net-work of the heavens hath been opened,
In the year 600 of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, all the wells of water under the earth broke open. The windows of the heavens were opened.
12 a nd the shower is on the earth forty days and forty nights.
And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.
13 I n this self-same day went in Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, sons of Noah, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them, unto the ark;
On the very same day Noah and his sons, Shem and Ham and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, all went into the large boat.
14 t hey, and every living creature after its kind, and every beast after its kind, and every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth after its kind, and every fowl after its kind, every bird -- every wing.
With them went every kind of animal, and all the cattle, and every thing that moved on the earth, and every kind of bird.
15 A nd they come in unto Noah, unto the ark, two by two of all the flesh in which a living spirit;
They went into the large boat with Noah, two of every living thing.
16 a nd they that are coming in, male and female of all flesh, have come in as God hath commanded him, and Jehovah doth close for him.
Male and female of all flesh went in as God had told Noah. Then the Lord shut him in.
17 A nd the deluge is forty days on the earth, and the waters multiply, and lift up the ark, and it is raised up from off the earth;
The flood came upon the earth for forty days. The water got deeper and raised up the large boat so that it was lifted above the earth.
18 a nd the waters are mighty, and multiply exceedingly upon the earth; and the ark goeth on the face of the waters.
The water was very deep upon the earth. And the boat stayed upon the top of the water.
19 A nd the waters have been very very mighty on the earth, and covered are all the high mountains which under the whole heavens;
The water got higher and higher upon the earth until all the high mountains under heaven were covered.
20 f ifteen cubits upwards have the waters become mighty, and the mountains are covered;
But the water went about four times taller than a man above the tops of the mountains.
21 a nd expire doth all flesh that is moving on the earth, among fowl, and among cattle, and among beasts, and among all the teeming things which are teeming on the earth, and all mankind;
All flesh that moved on the earth was destroyed, birds and cattle and wild animals, and every man.
22 a ll in whose nostrils breath of a living spirit -- of all that in the dry land -- have died.
Every thing that had the breath of life and lived on dry land died.
23 A nd wiped away is all the substance that is on the face of the ground, from man unto beast, unto creeping thing, and unto fowl of the heavens; yea, they are wiped away from the earth, and only Noah is left, and those who with him in the ark;
God destroyed every living thing upon the land, from man to animals, from things that moved upon the ground to birds of the sky. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those that were with him in the large boat.
24 a nd the waters are mighty on the earth a hundred and fifty days.
And the water covered the earth for 150 days.
