1 J ehovah hath reigned, Excellency He hath put on, Jehovah put on strength, He girded Himself, Also -- established is the world, unmoved.

The Lord rules. He is dressed with great power. The Lord has dressed Himself with strength. For sure, the world is built to last. It will not be moved.

2 E stablished is Thy throne since then, From the age Thou.

Your throne is set up from long ago. You have always been.

3 F loods have lifted up, O Jehovah, Floods have lifted up their voice, Floods lift up their breakers.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord. The floods have lifted up their voice. The floods lift up their beating waves.

4 T han the voices of many mighty waters, Breakers of a sea, mighty on high Jehovah,

The Lord on high is more powerful than the sound of many waters and the strong waves of the sea.

5 T hy testimonies have been very stedfast, To Thy house comely holiness, O Jehovah, for length of days!

Your Word is very sure. O Lord, Your house is holy forever.
