1 P raise ye Jah! I thank Jehovah with the whole heart, In the secret meeting of the upright, And of the company.

Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart where those who are right with God gather together and in the meeting of the people.

2 G reat the works of Jehovah, Sought out by all desiring them.

The works of the Lord are great. All who find joy in them try to understand them.

3 H onourable and majestic is His work, And His righteousness is standing for ever.

His work is great and powerful. And He is right and good forever.

4 A memorial He hath made of His wonders, Gracious and merciful Jehovah.

He has made His great works to be remembered. The Lord shows loving-favor and pity.

5 P rey He hath given to those fearing Him, He remembereth to the age His covenant.

He gives food to those who fear Him. He will remember His agreement forever.

6 T he power of His works He hath declared to His people, To give to them the inheritance of nations.

He has shown His people the power of His works by giving them the land of other nations.

7 T he works of His hands true and just, Stedfast all His appointments.

The works of His hands are faithful and right. All His Laws are true.

8 T hey are sustained for ever to the age. They are made in truth and uprightness.

They stand strong forever and ever. They are done by what is true and right.

9 R edemption He hath sent to His people, He hath appointed to the age His covenant, Holy and fearful His name.

He has made a way for His people to be free. He has set up His agreement forever. His holy name is to be honored with fear.

10 T he beginning of wisdom fear of Jehovah, Good understanding have all doing them, His praise standing for ever!

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. All who obey His Laws have good understanding. His praise lasts forever.
