2 A scolta la voce delle mie supplicazioni quando grido a te per aiuto, quando alzo le mani verso il tuo luogo santissimo.

Hear my cry for loving-kindness as I call to You for help, and when I lift up my hands to Your holy place.

3 N on trascinarmi via con gli empi e con gli operatori d'iniquità, i quali parlano di pace coi loro vicini, ma hanno la malizia nel cuore.

Do not drag me away with the sinful and with those who do bad things. They speak peace with their neighbors, while sin is in their hearts.

4 R endi loro secondo le loro opere e secondo la malvagità delle loro azioni; rendi loro secondo l'opera delle loro mani; da' loro la retribuzione che si meritano.

Pay them for their work and for the sins they do. Pay them for the works of their hands. Give them what they have earned.

5 P oiché non considerano le opere dell'Eterno e ciò che le sue mani hanno fatto, egli li atterrerà e non li farà prosperare.

They do not think about the works of the Lord and what His hands have done. So He will pull them down and not build them up again.

6 B enedetto sia l'Eterno, perché ha udito la voce delle mie suppliche.

May honor and thanks be given to the Lord, because He has heard my prayer.

7 L 'Eterno è la mia forza e il mio scudo; il mio cuore ha confidato in lui e sono stato soccorso; perciò il mio cuore esulta, e lo celebrerò col mio canto.

The Lord is my strength and my safe cover. My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. So my heart is full of joy. I will thank Him with my song.

8 L 'Eterno è la forza del suo popolo, e il rifugio di salvezza per il suo unto.

The Lord is the strength of His people. He is a safe place for His chosen one.

9 S alva il tuo popolo e benedici la tua eredità; pascili e sostienili per sempre.

Save Your people and bring good to what is Yours. Be their shepherd and carry them forever.
