3 I l Giudeo Mardocheo era infatti il secondo dopo il re Assuero, grande fra i Giudei e ben voluto dalla moltitudine dei suoi fratelli; egli cercava il bene del suo popolo e aveva parole di pace per tutta la sua stirpe.
