1 I l me fit sortir vers le parvis extérieur du côté du septentrion, et il me conduisit aux chambres qui étaient vis-à-vis de la place vide et vis-à-vis du bâtiment, au septentrion.

And he bringeth me forth unto the outer court, the way northward, and he bringeth me in unto the chamber that over-against the separate place, and that over-against the building at the north.

2 S ur la face, où se trouvait la porte septentrionale, il y avait une longueur de cent coudées; et la largeur était de cinquante coudées.

At the front of the length a hundred cubits the north opening, and the breadth fifty cubits.

3 C 'était vis-à-vis des vingt coudées du parvis intérieur, et vis-à-vis du pavé du parvis extérieur, là où se trouvaient les galeries des trois étages.

Over-against the twenty that are to the inner court, and over-against the pavement that to the outer court, gallery over-against gallery, in the three.

4 D evant les chambres, il y avait une allée large de dix coudées, et une voie d'une coudée; leurs portes donnaient au septentrion.

And at the front of the chambers a walk of ten cubits in breadth unto the inner part, a way of one cubit, and their openings at the north.

5 L es chambres supérieures étaient plus étroites que les inférieures et que celles du milieu du bâtiment, parce que les galeries leur ôtaient de la place.

And the upper chambers short, for the galleries contain more than these, than the lower, and than the middle one, of the building;

6 I l y avait trois étages, mais il n'y avait point de colonnes, comme les colonnes des parvis; c'est pourquoi, à partir du sol, les chambres du haut étaient plus étroites que celles du bas et du milieu.

for they threefold, and they have no pillars as the pillars of the court, therefore it hath been kept back -- more than the lower and than the middle one -- from the ground.

7 L e mur extérieur parallèle aux chambres, du côté du parvis extérieur, devant les chambres, avait cinquante coudées de longueur;

As to the wall that at the outside, over-against the chambers, the way of the outer-court at the front of the chambers, its length fifty cubits;

8 c ar la longueur des chambres du côté du parvis extérieur était de cinquante coudées. Mais sur la face du temple il y avait cent coudées.

for the length of the chambers that to the outer court fifty cubits, and of those on the front of the temple a hundred cubits.

9 A u bas de ces chambres était l'entrée de l'orient, quand on y venait du parvis extérieur.

And under these chambers the entrance from the east, in one's going into them from the outer court.

10 I l y avait encore des chambres sur la largeur du mur du parvis du côté de l'orient, vis-à-vis de la place vide et vis-à-vis du bâtiment.

In the breadth of the wall of the court eastward, unto the front of the separate place, and unto the front of the building, chambers.

11 D evant elles, il y avait une allée, comme devant les chambres qui étaient du côté du septentrion. La longueur et la largeur étaient les mêmes; leurs issues, leur disposition et leurs portes étaient semblables.

And the way before them as the appearance of the chambers that northward, according to their length so their breadth, and all their outlets, and according to their fashions, and according to their openings.

12 I l en était de même pour les portes des chambres du côté du midi. Il y avait une porte à la tête de l'allée, de l'allée qui se trouvait droit devant le mur du côté de l'orient, par où l'on y entrait.

And according to the openings of the chambers that southward an opening at the head of the way, the way directly in the front of the wall eastward in entering them.

13 I l me dit: Les chambres du septentrion et les chambres du midi, qui sont devant la place vide, ce sont les chambres saintes, où les sacrificateurs qui s'approchent de l'Éternel mangeront les choses très saintes; ils y déposeront les choses très saintes, les offrandes, les victimes présentées dans les sacrifices d'expiation et de culpabilité; car le lieu est saint.

And he saith unto me, `The north chambers, the south chambers, that at the front of the separate place, they holy chambers, where the priests (who near to Jehovah) eat the most holy things, there they place the most holy things, and the present, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering, for the place holy.

14 Q uand les sacrificateurs seront entrés, ils ne sortiront pas du sanctuaire pour aller dans le parvis extérieur, mais ils déposeront là les vêtements avec lesquels ils font le service, car ces vêtements sont saints; ils en mettront d'autres pour s'approcher du peuple.

In the priests' going in, they come not out from the sanctuary unto the outer court, and there they place their garments with which they minister, for they holy, and have put on other garments, and have drawn near unto that which for the people.'

15 L orsqu'il eut achevé de mesurer la maison intérieure, il me fit sortir par la porte qui était du côté de l'orient, et il mesura l'enceinte tout autour.

And he hath finished the measurements of the inner house, and hath brought me forth the way of the gate whose front eastward, and he hath measured it all round about.

16 I l mesura le côté de l'orient avec la canne qui servait de mesure, et il y avait tout autour cinq cents cannes.

He hath measured the east side with the measuring-reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring-reed round about.

He hath measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.

The south side he hath measured, five hundred reeds, with the measuring-reed.

He hath turned round unto the west side, he hath measured five hundred reeds with the measuring-reed.

20 I l mesura des quatre côtés le mur formant l'enceinte de la maison; la longueur était de cinq cents cannes, et la largeur de cinq cents cannes; ce mur marquait la séparation entre le saint et le profane.

At the four sides he hath measured it, a wall to it all round about, the length five hundred, and the breadth five hundred, to separate between the holy and the profane place.
