1 Ц арь Соломон правил над всем Израилем.

Now King Solomon was king over all Israel.

2 В от его главные сановники: Азария, сын Цадока – священник;

These were his officials: Azariah the son of Zadok was the priest;

3 Е лихореф и Ахия, сыновья Шиши – писари; Иосафат, сын Ахилуда – летописец;

Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha were secretaries; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was the recorder;

4 В анея, сын Иодая – начальник войска; Цадок и Авиатар – священники;

and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;

5 А зария, сын Нафана – начальник над наместниками; Завуд, сын Нафана – священник и личный советник царя;

and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the deputies; and Zabud the son of Nathan, a priest, was the king’s friend;

6 А хишар – смотритель дворца; Адонирам, сын Авды – надсмотрщик за подневольными рабочими.

and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labor.

7 Е ще у Соломона было над всем Израилем двенадцать наместников, которые поставляли для царя и для царского дома продовольствие. Каждый из них должен был поставлять припасы на один месяц в году.

Solomon had twelve deputies over all Israel, who provided for the king and his household; each man had to provide for a month in the year.

8 В от их имена: Бен-Хур управлял в нагорьях Ефрема;

These are their names: Ben-hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;

9 Б ен-Декер – в Макаце, Шаалвиме, Бет-Шемеше и Елон Бет-Ханане;

Ben-deker in Makaz and Shaalbim and Beth-shemesh and Elonbeth-hanan;

10 Б ен-Хесед – в Арюбофе (ему принадлежали Сохо и вся земля Хефер);

Ben-hesed, in Arubboth ( Socoh was his and all the land of Hepher);

11 Б ен-Авинадав – на возвышенностях Дора (его женой была Тафафь, дочь Соломона);

Ben-abinadab, in all the height of Dor (Taphath the daughter of Solomon was his wife);

12 В аана, сын Ахилуда – в Таанахе и Мегиддо и во всей территории вокруг Бет-Шеана, что рядом с Цартаном, ниже Изрееля, и от Бет-Шеана до Авел-Мехолы и даже за Иокмеам;

Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean which is beside Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah as far as the other side of Jokmeam;

13 Б ен-Гевер – в Рамоте Галаадском (ему принадлежали селения Иаира, сына Манассии, в Галааде, а также область Аргова в Башане, включая шестьдесят больших, обнесенных стенами городов с бронзовыми засовами на воротах);

Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead ( the towns of Jair, the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead were his: the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars were his);

14 А хинадав, сын Иддо – в Маханаиме;

Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;

15 А химаац – в земле Неффалима (он женился на Басемате, дочери Соломона);

Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he also married Basemath the daughter of Solomon);

16 В аана, сын Хушая – в земле Асира и в Алофе;

Baana the son of Hushai, in Asher and Bealoth;

17 И осафат, сын Паруаха – в земле Иссахара;

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

18 Ш имей, сын Елы – в земле Вениамина;

Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin;

19 Г евер, сын Урия – в Галааде (в стране Сигона, царя аморреев, и в стране Ога, царя Башана). Он один был наместником над этими землями. Величие царства Соломона

Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only deputy who was in the land. Solomon’s Power, Wealth and Wisdom

20 Н арод Иудеи и Израиля был многочислен, как песок на морском берегу; они ели, пили и веселились.

Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand that is on the seashore in abundance; they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.

21 И Соломон правил всеми царствами от реки Евфрата до земли филистимлян и до самой границы Египта. Эти страны платили дань и служили Соломону во все дни его жизни.

Now Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt; they brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22 К аждый день ко двору Соломона поставлялось тридцать кор лучшей муки и шестьдесят кор муки крупного помола,

Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty kors of fine flour and sixty kors of meal,

23 д есять голов крупного скота откормленного в стойле, двадцать голов крупного скота с пастбища и сто голов мелкого, не считая оленей, серн, косулей и откормленной птицы.

ten fat oxen, twenty pasture-fed oxen, a hundred sheep besides deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened fowl.

24 В едь он правил всеми царствами к западу от реки Евфрата, от Тифсаха до Газы, и пребывал в мире со всеми окрестными странами.

For he had dominion over everything west of the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings west of the River; and he had peace on all sides around about him.

25 В о времена жизни Соломона Иуда и Израиль жили в безопасности от Дана до Вирсавии – каждый человек под своей виноградной лозой и инжиром.

So Judah and Israel lived in safety, every man under his vine and his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

26 У Соломона было сорок тысяч стойл для колесничных коней и двенадцать тысяч коней.

Solomon had 40, 000 stalls of horses for his chariots, and 12, 000 horsemen.

27 Н аместники, каждый в свой месяц, поставляли продовольствие для царя Соломона и для всех, кто приходил есть за царским столом. Они смотрели, чтобы ни в чем не было недостатка.

Those deputies provided for King Solomon and all who came to King Solomon’s table, each in his month; they left nothing lacking.

28 Е ще они доставляли в нужное место ячмень и сено для колесничных и прочих коней, каждый свою долю. Мудрость Соломона

They also brought barley and straw for the horses and swift steeds to the place where it should be, each according to his charge.

29 Б ог даровал Соломону мудрость, великую проницательность и глубокий ум, неизмеримый, как песок на морском берегу.

Now God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand that is on the seashore.

30 М удрость Соломона превосходила мудрость всех людей Востока и всю мудрость Египта.

Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31 О н был мудрее любого человека, считая и Етана езрахитянина, и Емана, Халкола и Дарды, сыновей Махола. Его слава прошла по всем окрестным народам.

For he was wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was known in all the surrounding nations.

32 О н произнес три тысячи мудрых изречений, а песен его было тысяча и пять.

He also spoke 3, 000 proverbs, and his songs were 1, 005.

33 О н исследовал жизнь растений – от ливанского кедра до иссопа, что растет из стен. Он изучал животных и птиц, пресмыкающихся и рыб.

He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that grows on the wall; he spoke also of animals and birds and creeping things and fish.

34 С оломоновой мудрости приходили послушать люди из всех народов, от всех царей мира, которые прослышали о ней.

Men came from all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.
