1 Д авид, построив себе дома в Городе Давида, приготовил место для Божьего ковчега и разбил для него шатер.

Now David built houses for himself in the city of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it.

2 Д авид сказал: – Никто, кроме левитов, не может носить Божьего ковчега, потому что Господь избрал их носить ковчег Господа и служить Ему вовеки.

Then David said, “ No one is to carry the ark of God but the Levites; for the Lord chose them to carry the ark of God and to minister to Him forever.”

3 Д авид собрал весь Израиль в Иерусалиме, чтобы перенести ковчег Господа на место, которое он для него приготовил.

And David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem to bring up the ark of the Lord to its place which he had prepared for it.

4 О н созвал потомков Аарона и левитов.

David gathered together the sons of Aaron and the Levites:

5 И з потомков Каафа вождя Уриила и 120 его родственников;

of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and 120 of his relatives;

6 и з потомков Мерари вождя Асаю и 220 его родственников;

of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and 220 of his relatives;

7 и з потомков Гершона вождя Иоиля и 130 его родственников;

of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and 130 of his relatives;

8 и з потомков Елицафана вождя Шемаю и 200 его родственников;

of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and 200 of his relatives;

9 и з потомков Хеврона вождя Елиела и 80 его родственников;

of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and 80 of his relatives;

10 и з потомков Узиила вождя Авинадава и 112 его родственников.

of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and 112 of his relatives.

11 З атем Давид призвал священников Цадока и Авиатара и левитов Уриила, Асаю, Иоиля, Шемаю, Елиела и Авинадава

Then David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel and Amminadab,

12 и сказал им: – Вы – главы левитских семейств. Вы и ваши собратья левиты должны освятиться и перенести ковчег Господа, Бога Израиля, на место, которое я для него приготовил.

and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites; consecrate yourselves both you and your relatives, that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place that I have prepared for it.

13 В едь именно из-за того, что не вы, левиты, несли его в первый раз, Господь, наш Бог, обрушил на нас Свой гнев: мы не спросили Его, как исполнить это по предписанному.

Because you did not carry it at the first, the Lord our God made an outburst on us, for we did not seek Him according to the ordinance.”

14 С вященники и левиты освятились, чтобы перенести ковчег Господа, Бога Израиля.

So the priests and the Levites consecrated themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel.

15 Л евиты понесли Божий ковчег на шестах, положив их себе на плечи, как повелел по слову Господа Моисей.

The sons of the Levites carried the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles thereon, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord.

16 Д авид сказал старейшинам левитов назначить из их собратьев певцов, чтобы петь радостные песни под музыкальные инструменты – лиры, арфы и тарелки.

Then David spoke to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their relatives the singers, with instruments of music, harps, lyres, loud-sounding cymbals, to raise sounds of joy.

17 Л евиты избрали Емана, сына Иоиля, из его братьев – Асафа, сына Берехии, а из их братьев мераритов – Етана, сына Кушаии;

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel, and from his relatives, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and from the sons of Merari their relatives, Ethan the son of Kushaiah,

18 а также их братьев, следующих за ними по званию: Захарию, Иаазиила, Шемирамофа, Иехиила, Унния, Елиава, Ванею, Маасейю, Маттифию, Елифлеуя, Микнея, Овид-Эдома, Иеила – служащих у ворот.

and with them their relatives of the second rank, Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-edom and Jeiel, the gatekeepers.

19 М узыканты Еман, Асаф и Етан должны были играть на бронзовых тарелках;

So the singers, Heman, Asaph and Ethan were appointed to sound aloud cymbals of bronze;

20 З ахария, Азиил, Шемирамоф, Иехиил, Унний, Елиав, Маасея и Ванея должны были играть на лирах под «аламот»,

and Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah and Benaiah, with harps tuned to alamoth;

21 а Маттифия, Елифлеуй, Микней, Овид-Эдом, Иеил и Азазия должны были играть на арфах, ведя свою партию под «шеминит».

and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-edom, Jeiel and Azaziah, to lead with lyres tuned to the sheminith.

22 Х енания, начальник левитов, должен был отвечать за пение, потому что он был в нем искусен.

Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was in charge of the singing; he gave instruction in singing because he was skillful.

23 Б ерехия и Элкана охраняли ковчег.

Berechiah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.

24 С вященники Шевания, Иосафат, Нафанаил, Амасай, Захария, Ванея и Элиезер должны были трубить перед Божьим ковчегом в трубы. Овид-Эдом и Иехия тоже охраняли ковчег. Возвращение ковчега в Иерусалим (2 Цар. 6: 12-19)

Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before the ark of God. Obed-edom and Jehiah also were gatekeepers for the ark.

25 Д авид и старейшины Израиля и тысячники пошли, чтобы с радостью перенести ковчег завета Господня из дома Овид-Эдома.

So it was David, with the elders of Israel and the captains over thousands, who went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the house of Obed-edom with joy.

26 Т ак как Бог помог левитам, которые несли ковчег завета Господня, в жертву были принесены семь быков и семь баранов.

Because God was helping the Levites who were carrying the ark of the covenant of the Lord, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.

27 Д авид был одет в верхнюю одежду из лучшего льна, как и все левиты, которые несли ковчег, как певцы и Хенания, начальник у певцов. Еще на Давиде был льняной эфод.

Now David was clothed with a robe of fine linen with all the Levites who were carrying the ark, and the singers and Chenaniah the leader of the singing with the singers. David also wore an ephod of linen.

28 Т ак весь Израиль перенес ковчег завета Господня с радостными криками под звуки бараньих рогов, труб и тарелок, под музыку лир и арф.

Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with sound of the horn, with trumpets, with loud-sounding cymbals, with harps and lyres.

29 К огда ковчег завета Господня входил в Город Давида, Михаль, дочь Саула, глядела из окна. Увидев царя Давида пляшущим и скачущим, она уничижила его в своем сердце.

It happened when the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and celebrating; and she despised him in her heart.
