1 Т огава Пилат отведе Исус и Го бичува.

So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him.

2 И войниците сплетоха венец от тръни, поставиха го на главата Му и като Му облякоха пурпурна дреха,

And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe.

3 п риближиха се до Него и казваха: Здравей, Царю Юдейски! И Му удряха плесници.

Then they said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck Him with their hands.

4 Т огава Пилат пак излезе навън и им каза: Ето, извеждам ви Го навън, за да знаете, че не намирам никаква вина в Него.

Pilate then went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I am bringing Him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in Him.” Pilate’s Decision

5 Т огава Исус излезе навън, като носеше трънения венец и пурпурната дреха. Пилат им каза: Ето Човека!

Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, “Behold the Man!”

6 А като Го видяха, главните свещеници и служителите извикаха: Разпъни Го! Разпъни Го! Пилат им каза: Вземете Го и вие Го разпънете; защото аз не намирам вина у Него.

Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him! ” Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.”

7 Ю деите му отговориха: Ние си имаме закон и по този закон Той трябва да умре, защото направи Себе Си Божий Син.

The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.”

8 А Пилат, като чу тези думи, още повече се уплаши.

Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid,

9 И пак влезе в преторията и попита Исус: Ти откъде си? А Исус не му даде отговор.

and went again into the Praetorium, and said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.

10 З атова Пилат Му каза: На мене ли не говориш? Не знаеш ли, че имам власт да Те пусна и имам власт да Те разпъна?

Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?”

11 И сус му отговори: Ти не би имал никаква власт над Мен, ако не ти бе дадено отгоре; затова по-голям грях има онзи, който Ме предаде на тебе.

Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”

12 П оради това Пилат търсеше начин да Го пусне; юдеите обаче викаха: Ако пуснеш Този, не си приятел на Цезаря; всеки, който прави себе си цар, е противник на Цезаря.

From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar’s friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.”

13 А Пилат, като чу тези думи, изведе Исус навън и седна на съдийския стол, на мястото, наречено Каменната настилка, а по еврейски - Гавата.

When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus out and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.

14 Б еше денят на Приготовление за Пасхата, около шестия час; и той каза на юдеите: Ето вашия Цар!

Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, “Behold your King!”

15 А те извикаха: Премахни Го! Премахни Го! Разпъни Го! Пилат ги попита: Вашия Цар ли да разпъна? Главните свещеници отговориха: Нямаме друг цар освен Цезаря.

But they cried out, “Away with Him, away with Him! Crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar!”

16 З атова той им Го предаде да бъде разпънат.

Then he delivered Him to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus and led Him away. The King on a Cross

17 И така, взеха Исус; и Той, като носеше сам кръста Си, излезе; и дойде на мястото, наречено Лобно, което по еврейски се казва Голгота,

And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha,

18 к ъдето Го разпънаха, и с Него други двама, от едната и от другата страна, а Исус по средата.

where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center.

19 А Пилат написа и надпис, който постави над Него на кръста. А написаното беше: Исус Назарянинът, Юдейският Цар.

Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

20 Т ози надпис прочетоха мнозина от юдеите, защото мястото, където разпънаха Исус, беше близо до града; а написаното беше на еврейски, на латински и на гръцки.

Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.

21 А юдейските главни свещеници казаха на Пилат: Недей писа: Юдейският Цар, а Самозваният Юдейски Цар.

Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.”’”

22 П илат отговори: Каквото писах, писах.

Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”

23 А войниците, като разпънаха Исус, взеха горните Му дрехи и ги разделиха на четири дяла, на всеки войник по един дял; взеха и долната дреха. А долната дреха не беше шита, а изтъкана цяла от горе до долу;

Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece.

24 з атова те казаха помежду си: Да не я раздираме, а да хвърлим жребий за нея - чия да бъде; за да се изпълни написаното, което казва: "Разделиха си дрехите Ми и за облеклото Ми хвърлиха жребий." И така, войниците направиха това.

They said therefore among themselves, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: “They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.” Therefore the soldiers did these things. Behold Your Mother

25 А при кръста на Исус стояха майка Му и сестрата на майка Му, Мария, жената на Клеопа и Мария Магдалена.

Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

26 А Исус, като видя майка Си и ученика, когото обичаше, който стоеше наблизо, каза на майка Си: Жено, ето твоя син!

When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!”

27 П осле каза на ученика: Ето твоята майка! И от този час ученикът я прибра в своя дом.

Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home. It Is Finished

28 С лед това Исус, като знаеше, че всичко вече е свършено, за да се сбъдне Писанието, каза: Жаден съм.

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”

29 А там беше сложен съд, пълен с оцет; натъкнаха на исопова пръчка една гъба, натопена в оцет, и я поднесоха до устата Му.

Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.

30 А Исус, като прие оцета, каза: Извърши се, и наведе глава, и предаде дух.

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. Jesus’ Side Is Pierced

31 И понеже беше денят на Приготовлението, за да не останат телата на кръста в съботата, защото онази събота беше велик ден, юдеите помолиха Пилат да им се пречупят пищялите и да ги вдигнат оттам.

Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

32 З атова войниците дойдоха и пречупиха пищялите на единия и на другия, които бяха разпънати с Исус.

Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him.

33 Н о когато дойдоха при Исус и Го видяха вече умрял, не Му пречупиха пищялите.

But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.

34 О баче един от войниците прободе с копие ребрата Му; и веднага изтече кръв и вода.

But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

35 И този, който видя, свидетелства за това; и неговото свидетелство е вярно; и той знае, че говори истината, за да повярвате и вие.

And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe.

36 З ащото това стана, за да се изпълни написаното: "Негова кост няма да се строши";

For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.”

37 и пак на друго място Писанието казва: "Ще погледнат на Него, Когото прободоха."

And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.” Jesus Buried in Joseph’s Tomb

38 С лед това Йосиф от Ариматея, който беше ученик на Исус, но таен поради страх от юдеите, помоли Пилат да му позволи да вземе тялото на Исус; и Пилат позволи. И така, той дойде и вдигна тялото Му.

After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus.

39 Д ойде и Никодим, който беше ходил преди при Него през нощта, и донесе около сто литра смес от смирна и алое.

And Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds.

40 И така, взеха тялото на Исус и Го обвиха в плащеници с ароматите според юдейския обичай на погребване.

Then they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in strips of linen with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.

41 А на мястото, където бе разпънат, имаше градина; и в градината - нов гроб, в който още никой не бе полаган.

Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.

42 И там положиха Исус заради юдейския ден на Приготовлението; защото гробът беше наблизо.

So there they laid Jesus, because of the Jews’ Preparation Day, for the tomb was nearby.
