1 А когато се свършиха двадесетте години, в които Соломон построи Господния дом и своята къща,

It came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the house of the Lord and his own house,

2 С оломон съгради отново градовете, които Хирам му беше дал, и засели в тях израелтяни.

that the cities which Hiram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them; and he settled the children of Israel there.

3 С лед това Соломон отиде в Емат-сова и го превзе.

And Solomon went to Hamath Zobah and seized it.

4 И съгради Тадмор в пустата част над Юдейската земя и всички градове за житниците, които съгради в Емат.

He also built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the storage cities which he built in Hamath.

5 С ъгради още горния Веторон и долния Веторон - градове, укрепени със стени, порти и лостове,

He built Upper Beth Horon and Lower Beth Horon, fortified cities with walls, gates, and bars,

6 и Ваалат и всички градове, в които Соломон имаше житници, и всички градове за колесниците, и градовете за конниците, и всичко, което пожела Соломон да съгради в Йерусалим, в Ливан и в цялата земя на царството си.

also Baalath and all the storage cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities and the cities of the cavalry, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

7 А относно целия народ, който остана от хетите, аморейците, ферезейците, евейците и йевусейците, които не бяха от Израел,

All the people who were left of the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, who were not of Israel—

8 о т техните потомци, останали след тях в земята, които израелтяните не бяха изтребили, от тях Соломон събра набор за задължителни работници, каквито са и до днес.

that is, their descendants who were left in the land after them, whom the children of Israel did not destroy—from these Solomon raised forced labor, as it is to this day.

9 Н о от израелтяните Соломон не направи никого слуга за работата си; а те бяха военните мъже и главните му военачалници, и началниците на колесниците му и на конниците му;

But Solomon did not make the children of Israel servants for his work. Some were men of war, captains of his officers, captains of his chariots, and his cavalry.

10 с ъщо те бяха главните началници, които имаше цар Соломон (двеста и петдесет души), които началстваха над народа.

And others were chiefs of the officials of King Solomon: two hundred and fifty, who ruled over the people.

11 Т огава Соломон въведе фараоновата дъщеря от Давидовия град в къщата, която беше построил за нея; защото каза: Жена ми да не живее в къщата на Израелевия цар Давид, понеже местата, в които е влизал Господният ковчег, са святи.

Now Solomon brought the daughter of Pharaoh up from the City of David to the house he had built for her, for he said, “My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places to which the ark of the Lord has come are holy.”

12 Т огава Соломон започна да принася всеизгаряния на Господа на Господния жертвеник, който беше издигнал пред притвора,

Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar of the Lord which he had built before the vestibule,

13 к ато принасяше потребното за всеки ден според Моисеевата заповед, в съботите, на новолунията и на празниците, които ставаха три пъти в годината: на празника на безквасните хлябове, на празника на седмиците и на празника на шатроразпъването.

according to the daily rate, offering according to the commandment of Moses, for the Sabbaths, the New Moons, and the three appointed yearly feasts—the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Tabernacles.

14 И според разпоредбите на баща си Давид постави отрядите на свещениците на службата им и левитите на заръчаното за тях да пеят и да служат пред свещениците, според както беше потребно за всеки ден, и вратарите според отрядите им на всяка порта; защото такава беше заповедта от Божия човек Давид.

And, according to the order of David his father, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their service, the Levites for their duties (to praise and serve before the priests) as the duty of each day required, and the gatekeepers by their divisions at each gate; for so David the man of God had commanded.

15 В нищо не се отклониха от царската заповед относно свещениците и левитите, нито относно съкровищата.

They did not depart from the command of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter or concerning the treasuries.

16 А цялата Соломонова работа беше предварително приготвена от деня, когато бе положена основата на Господния дом, докато се свърши. Така бе завършен Господният дом.

Now all the work of Solomon was well-ordered from the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was completed.

17 Т огава Соломон отиде в Есион-гавер и в Елот, на морския бряг в едомската земя.

Then Solomon went to Ezion Geber and Elath on the seacoast, in the land of Edom.

18 И Хирам му прати под грижата на слугите си кораби и опитни морски слуги, и отидоха със Соломоновите слуги в Офир; и оттам взеха четиристотин и петдесет таланта злато и го донесоха на цар Соломон.

And Hiram sent him ships by the hand of his servants, and servants who knew the sea. They went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and acquired four hundred and fifty talents of gold from there, and brought it to King Solomon.
