5 F rom these the people who live beside the sea spread out into their lands, each one by his language, family, and nation.

От сих населились острова народов в землях их, каждый по языку своему, по племенам своим, в народах своих.

6 T he sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

Сыны Хама: Хуш, Мицраим, Фут и Ханаан.

7 T he sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.

Сыны Хуша: Сева, Хавила, Савта, Раама и Савтеха. Сыны Раамы: Шева и дедан.

8 C ush became the father of Nimrod, who was the first on earth to become a powerful man.

Хуш родил также Нимрода: сей начал быть силен на земле.

9 H e was a powerful animal-killer in the eyes of the Lord. So it is said, “Like Nimrod, a powerful animal-killer in the eyes of the Lord.”

10 T he beginning of his nation was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

Царство его вначале сщставляли: Вавилон, Эрех, аккад и Халне, в земле Сеннаар.

11 H e went into Assyria from the land, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah

Из сей земли вышел Ассур, и построил Ниневию, Реховофир, Калах.

12 a nd Resen between Nineveh and Calah. That is the great city.

И ресен между Ниневию и между Калахом; это город великий.

13 M izraim became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,

От Мицраима произщшли Лудим, Анамим, Легавим, Нафтухим,

14 P athrusim, Casluhim (from which came the Philistines), and Caphtorim.

Патрусим, Каслухим, откуда вышли Филистимляне, и Кафторим.

15 C anaan became the father of Sidon, his first-born, and Heth,

От Ханаана родились: Сидон, первенец его, Хет,

16 a nd the Jebusite, the Amorite, the Girgashite,

17 t he Hivite, the Arkite, the Sinite,

Евей, Аркей, Синей,

18 t he Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Later the Canaanite families spread out.

19 S o the land of the Canaanite was from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim as far as Lasha.

И были пределы Хананеев от Сидона к Герару до Газы, Отсюда к Садому, Гаморре, Адме и Цевоиму до Лаши.

20 T hese are the sons of Ham, by their families, languages, lands and nations.

Это сыны Хамовы, по племенам их, по языкам их, в землях их, в народах их.

21 C hildren were born to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, and the older brother of Japheth.

Были дети и у Сима, отца всех сынов Еверовых, старшего брата Иафетова.
