1 P raise the Lord! How happy is the man who honors the Lord with fear and finds joy in His Law!

(111-1) ^^Аллилуия.^^ Блажен муж, боящийся Господа и крепко любящий заповеди Его.

2 H is children will be powerful in the land. Each family who is right will be happy.

(111-2) Сильно будет на земле семя его; род правых благословится.

3 R iches and well-being are in his house. And his right-standing with God will last forever.

(111-3) Обилие и богатство в доме его, и правда его пребывает вовек.

4 L ight rises even in darkness for the one who is right. He is kind and has loving-pity and does what is right.

(111-4) Во тьме восходит свет правым; благ он и милосерд и праведен.

5 G ood will come to the man who is ready to give much, and fair in what he does.

(111-5) Добрый человек милует и взаймы дает; он даст твердость словам своим на суде.

6 H e will never be shaken. The man who is right and good will be remembered forever.

(111-6) Он вовек не поколеблется; в вечной памяти будет праведник.

7 H e will not be afraid of bad news. His heart is strong because he trusts in the Lord.

(111-7) Не убоится худой молвы: сердце его твердо, уповая на Господа.

8 H is heart will not be shaken. He will not be afraid and will watch those lose who fight against him.

(111-8) Утверждено сердце его: он не убоится, когда посмотрит на врагов своих.

9 H e has given much to the poor. His right-standing with God lasts forever. His horn will be lifted high in honor.

(111-9) Он расточил, роздал нищим; правда его пребывает во веки; рог его вознесется во славе.

10 T he sinful man will see it and be troubled and angry. He will grind his teeth and waste away. The desire of the sinful will come to nothing.

(111-10) Нечестивый увидит и будет досадовать, заскрежещет зубами своими и истает. Желание нечестивых погибнет.
