1 I give praise to You, O God. Do not be quiet.

(108-1) ^^Начальнику хора. Псалом Давида.^^ Боже хвалы моей! не премолчи,

2 F or sinners and liars have opened their mouths against me. They have spoken against me with lying tongues.

(108-2) ибо отверзлись на меня уста нечестивые и уста коварные; говорят со мною языком лживым;

3 T hey have gathered around me with words of hate. They fought against me for no reason.

(108-3) отвсюду окружают меня словами ненависти, вооружаются против меня без причины;

4 I give them my love but they speak against me in return. But I am in prayer.

(108-4) за любовь мою они враждуют на меня, а я молюсь;

5 T hey pay me what is bad for what is good. They give me hate for my love.

(108-5) воздают мне за добро злом, за любовь мою--ненавистью.

6 L et a sinful man have power over him. Let one who speaks against him stand at his right hand.

(108-6) Поставь над ним нечестивого, и диавол да станет одесную его.

7 W hen he is tried, let him be found guilty. And may his prayer become sin.

(108-7) Когда будет судиться, да выйдет виновным, и молитва его да будет в грех;

8 L et his days be few. Let another person take over his work.

(108-8) да будут дни его кратки, и достоинство его да возьмет другой;

9 L et his children be without a father. And let his wife be without a husband.

(108-9) дети его да будут сиротами, и жена его--вдовою;

10 M ay his children go around begging. And may they look for food far from their destroyed homes.

(108-10) да скитаются дети его и нищенствуют, и просят из развалин своих;

11 L et the one to whom he owes money take all that he has. May strangers take away all he has worked for.

(108-11) да захватит заимодавец все, что есть у него, и чужие да расхитят труд его;

12 M ay no one show him kindness. Let no one pity his children who have no father.

(108-12) да не будет сострадающего ему, да не будет милующего сирот его;

13 L et his children be cut off. Do not let their family name be remembered by the people-to-come.

(108-13) да будет потомство его на погибель, и да изгладится имя их в следующем роде;

14 L et the sins of his fathers be remembered by the Lord, and do not let the sins of his mother be forgotten.

(108-14) да будет воспомянуто пред Господом беззаконие отцов его, и грех матери его да не изгладится;

15 M ay these sins always be before the Lord. So He may not let them be remembered on the earth.

(108-15) да будут они всегда в очах Господа, и да истребит Он память их на земле,

16 B ecause he did not remember to show loving-kindness. Instead he made it hard for the poor and those in need and those with a broken heart. He even put them to death.

(108-16) за то, что он не думал оказывать милость, но преследовал человека бедного и нищего и сокрушенного сердцем, чтобы умертвить его;

17 H e loved to curse others, so may it come to him. He did not like to have good come to others, so good was far from him.

(108-17) возлюбил проклятие, --оно и придет на него; не восхотел благословения, --оно и удалится от него;

18 H e dressed himself with cursing as with a coat. They came into his body like water and into his bones like oil.

(108-18) да облечется проклятием, как ризою, и да войдет оно, как вода, во внутренность его и, как елей, в кости его;

19 M ay they be like clothing that covers him and like a belt that he always wears.

(108-19) да будет оно ему, как одежда, в которую он одевается, и как пояс, которым всегда опоясывается.

20 L et this be what the Lord pays to those who speak against me and wish bad things would happen to me.

(108-20) Таково воздаяние от Господа врагам моим и говорящим злое на душу мою!

21 B ut You, O God, the Lord, be kind to me because of Your name. Take me out of trouble because Your loving-kindness is good.

(108-21) Со мною же, Господи, Господи, твори ради имени Твоего, ибо блага милость Твоя; спаси меня,

22 F or I am in trouble and in need. And my heart is hurt within me.

(108-22) ибо я беден и нищ, и сердце мое уязвлено во мне.

23 I am passing like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.

(108-23) Я исчезаю, как уклоняющаяся тень; гонят меня, как саранчу.

24 M y knees are weak from going without food. And my body has lost all its fat.

(108-24) Колени мои изнемогли от поста, и тело мое лишилось тука.

25 O thers laugh at me. They look at me and shake their heads.

(108-25) Я стал для них посмешищем: увидев меня, кивают головами.

26 H elp me, O Lord my God! Save me by Your loving-kindness.

(108-26) Помоги мне, Господи, Боже мой, спаси меня по милости Твоей,

27 L et them know that this is Your hand and that You, O Lord, have done it.

(108-27) да познают, что это--Твоя рука, и что Ты, Господи, соделал это.

28 L et them hope that bad things will happen. But You make good things happen. Let them be ashamed when they rise up against me. But let Your servant be full of joy.

(108-28) Они проклинают, а Ты благослови; они восстают, но да будут постыжены; раб же Твой да возрадуется.

29 L et those who speak against me be dressed with shame. Let them cover themselves with shame as with a coat.

(108-29) Да облекутся противники мои бесчестьем и, как одеждою, покроются стыдом своим.

30 I will give thanks to the Lord in a loud voice. I will praise Him among many people.

(108-30) И я громко буду устами моими славить Господа и среди множества прославлять Его,

31 F or He stands at the right hand of the one in need to save him from those who judge his soul.

(108-31) ибо Он стоит одесную бедного, чтобы спасти его от судящих душу его.
