1 N ow the leaders of the people lived in Jerusalem. But the rest of the people drew names to bring one out of ten to live in Jerusalem, the holy city, while nine-tenths stayed in the other cities.

И жили начальники народа в Иерусалиме, а прочие из народа бросили жребии, чтоб одна из десяти частей их шла на жительство в святой город Иерусалим, а девять в городах.

2 A nd the people praised all the men who were willing to live in Jerusalem.

И благословил народ всех, которые добровольно согласились жить в Иерусалиме.

3 T hese are the leaders of the lands who lived in Jerusalem but in the cities of Judah every one lived on his own land there: Israel, the religious leaders, the Levites, the servants in the house of God, and the children of Solomon’s servants.

Вот главы страны, которые жили в Иерусалиме, --а в городах Иудеи жили, всякий в своем владении, по городам своим: Израильтяне, священники, левиты и нефинеи и сыновья рабов Соломоновых; --

4 S ome of the sons of Judah and some of the sons of Benjamin lived in Jerusalem. Of the sons of Judah there was Athaiah the son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez,

в Иерусалиме жили из сыновей Иуды и из сыновей Вениамина. Из сыновей Иуды: Афаия, сын Уззии, сын Захарии, сын Амарии, сын Сафатии, сын Малелеила, из сыновей Фареса,

5 a nd Maaseiah the son of Baruch, son of Col-hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, son of the Shilonite.

и Маасея, сын Варуха, сын Колхозея, сын Хазаии, сын Адаии, сын Иоиарива, сын Захарии, сын Шилония.

6 A ll the sons of Perez who lived in Jerusalem were 468 able men.

Всех сыновей Фареса, живших в Иерусалиме, четыреста шестьдесят восемь, люди отличные.

7 T he sons of Benjamin are Sallu the son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jeshaiah,

И вот сыновья Вениамина: Саллу, сын Мешуллама, сын Иоеда, сын Федаии, сын Колаии, сын Маасеи, сын Ифиила, сын Исаии,

8 a nd after him Gabbai and Sallai, 928 men.

и за ним Габбай, Саллай--девятьсот двадцать восемь.

9 J oel the son of Zichri watched over them, and Judah the son of Hassenuah was second over the city.

Иоиль, сын Зихри, был начальником над ними, а Иуда, сын Сенуи, был вторым над городом.

10 O f the religious leaders there were Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin,

Из священников: Иедаия, сын Иоиарива, Иахин,

11 S eraiah the son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, the leader of the house of God,

Сераия, сын Хелкии, сын Мешуллама, сын Садока, сын Мераиофа, сын Ахитува, начальствующий в доме Божием,

12 a nd their brothers who did the work of the house of God, 822 men. And there was Adaiah the son of Jeroham, son of Pelaliah, son of Amzi, son of Zechariah, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah,

и братья их, отправлявшие службу в доме --восемьсот двадцать два; и Адаия, сын Иерохама, сын Фелалии, сын Амция, сын Захарии, сын Пашхура, сын Малхии,

13 a nd his brothers, heads of family groups, 242 men. And there was Amashsai the son of Azarel, son of Ahzai, son of Meshillemoth, son of Immer,

и братья его, главы поколений--двести сорок два; и Амашсай, сын Азариила, сын Ахзая, сын Мешиллемофа, сын Иммера,

14 a nd their brothers, 128 men with strength of heart. Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim, watched over them.

и братья его, люди отличные--сто двадцать восемь. Начальником над ними был Завдиил, сын Гагедолима.

15 O f the Levites there was Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son of Bunni,

А из левитов: Шемаия, сын Хашшува, сын Азрикама, сын Хашавии, сын Вунния,

16 a nd Shabbethai and Jozabad, from the leaders of the Levites. They watched over the outside work of the house of God.

и Шавфай, и Иозавад, из глав левитов по внешним делам дома Божия,

17 A nd there was Mattaniah the son of Mica, son of Zabdi, son of Asaph, who was the leader in beginning the giving of thanks at prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brothers. And there was Abda the son of Shammua, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun.

и Матфания, сын Михи, сын Завдия, сын Асафа, главный начинатель славословия при молитве, и Бакбукия, второй из братьев его, и Авда, сын Шаммуя, сын Галала, сын Идифуна.

18 A ll the Levites in the holy city were 284.

Всех левитов во святом городе двести восемьдесят четыре.

19 T he gate-keepers, Akkub, Talmon, and their brothers, who kept watch at the gates, were 172.

А привратники: Аккув, Талмон и братья их, содержавшие стражу у ворот--сто семьдесят два.

20 T he rest of Israel, of the religious leaders and of the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, each in the land he had been given.

Прочие Израильтяне, священники, левиты по всем городам Иудеи, каждый в своем уделе.

21 B ut the servants of the house of God were living in Ophel. Ziha and Gishpa were over the servants of the house of God.

А нефинеи жили в Офеле; над нефинеями Циха и Гишфа.

22 T he one who watched over the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Mica, from the sons of Asaph, the singers for the work of the house of God.

Начальником над левитами в Иерусалиме был Уззий, сын Вания, сын Хашавии, сын Матфании, сын Михи, из сыновей Асафовых, которые были певцами при служении в доме Божием,

23 F or the king had said that the singers must be given what they need each day.

потому что от царя о них повеление, и назначено было на каждый день для певцов определенное содержание.

24 P ethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah the son of Judah, was the king’s workman in everything to do with the people. The People Living outside Jerusalem

И Петахия, сын Мешезавела, из сыновей Зары, сына Иуды, был доверенным от царя по всяким делам, до народа.

25 A s for the villages with their fields, some of the sons of Judah lived in Kiriath-arba and its villages, in Dibon and its villages, in Jekabzeel and its villages,

Из же в селах, на полях своих, сыновья Иуды жили в Кириаф-Арбе и зависящих от нее городах, в Дивоне и зависящих от него городах, в Иекавцеиле и селах его,

26 i n Jeshua, Moladah, Beth-pelet,

в Иешуе, в Моладе и в Беф-Палете,

27 H azar-shual, Beersheba and its villages,

в Хацар-Шуале, в Вирсавии и зависящих от нее городах,

28 Z iklag, Meconah and its villages,

в Секелаге, в Мехоне и зависящих от нее городах,

29 E n-rimmon, Zorah, Jarmuth,

в Ен-Риммоне, в Цоре и в Иармуфе,

30 Z anoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, and Azekah and its villages. So they lived from Beersheba as far as the valley of Hinnom.

31 T he sons of Benjamin lived in Geba, Michmash, Aija, Bethel and its villages,

Сыновья Вениаминовы, от Гевы, в Михмасе, Гае, в Вефиле и зависящих от него городах,

32 A nathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

в Анафофе, Нове, Анании,

33 H azor, Ramah, Gittaim,

Гацоре, Раме, Гиффаиме,

34 H adid, Zeboim, Neballat,

Хадиде, Цевоиме, Неваллате,

35 L od, and Ono, the valley of able workmen.

Лоде, Оно, в долине Харашиме.

36 A nd certain groups of the Levites in Judah were joined to Benjamin.

И левиты имели жилища свои в участках Иуды и Вениамина.
