1 А з съм истинската лоза и Моят Отец е земеделецът.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 В сяка пръчка в Мене, която не дава плод, Той я отрязва и всяка, която дава плод, подрязва я, за да дава повече плод.

every branch in me not bearing fruit, he takes it away; and every one bearing fruit, he purges it that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 В ие сте вече чисти чрез учението, което ви говорих.

Ye are already clean by reason of the word which I have spoken to you.

4 П ребъдвайте в Мен и Аз във вас. Както пръчката не може да даде плод от само себе си, ако не остане на лозата, така и вие не можете, ако не пребъдете в Мен.

Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abide in the vine, thus neither ye unless ye abide in me.

5 А з съм лозата, вие сте пръчките; който пребъдва в Мен и Аз в него, той дава много плод; защото, отделени от Мене, не можете да направите нищо.

I am the vine, ye the branches. He that abides in me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing.

6 А ко някой не пребъде в Мене, той бива изхвърлен навън като пръчка и изсъхва; и ги събират и ги хвърлят в огъня, и те изгарят.

Unless any one abide in me he is cast out as the branch, and is dried up; and they gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7 А ко пребъдете в Мен и думите Ми пребъдат във вас, искайте каквото и да желаете и ще ви се сбъдне.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall come to pass to you.

8 В това се прославя Моят Отец, да принасяте много плод; и така ще бъдете Мои ученици. Съвършената любов

In this is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, and ye shall become disciples of mine.

9 К акто Отец възлюби Мене, така и Аз възлюбих вас; пребъдвайте в Моята любов.

As the Father has loved me, I also have loved you: abide in my love.

10 А ко пазите Моите заповеди, ще пребъдвате в любовта Ми, както и Аз опазих заповедите на Моя Отец и пребъдвам в Неговата любов.

If ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

11 Т ова ви говорих, за да бъде Моята радост във вас и вашата радост да стане пълна.

I have spoken these things to you that my joy may be in you, and your joy be full.

12 Т ова е Моята заповед: Да се обичате един друг, както Аз ви възлюбих.

This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13 Н икой няма по-голяма любов от това, да даде живота си за приятелите си.

No one has greater love than this, that one should lay down his life for his friends.

14 В ие сте Ми приятели, ако вършите онова, което ви заповядвам.

Ye are my friends if ye practise whatever I command you.

15 Н е ви наричам вече слуги, защото слугата не знае какво върши господарят му; а вас наричам приятели, защото ви изявявам всичко, което съм чул от Своя Отец.

I call you no longer bondmen, for the bondman does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things which I have heard of my Father I have made known to you.

16 Н е вие избрахте Мене, но Аз избрах вас и ви определих да излезете в света и да принасяте плод, и плодът ви да бъде траен; и каквото и да поискате от Отца в Мое име, да ви даде.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and have set you that ye should go and ye should bear fruit, and your fruit should abide, that whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name he may give you.

17 Т ова ви заповядвам, да се обичате един друг. Омразата на света към Христовите последователи

These things I command you, that ye love one another.

18 А ко светът ви мрази, знайте, че Мене преди вас е намразил.

If the world hate you, know that it has hated me before you.

19 А ко бяхте от света, светът щеше да обича своето; а понеже не сте от света, но Аз ви избрах от света, затова светът ви мрази.

If ye were of the world, the world would love its own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on account of this the world hates you.

20 П омнете думите, които ви казах: Слугата не е по-горен от господаря си. Ако Мене гониха, и вас ще гонят; ако са опазили Моето учение, и вашето ще пазят.

Remember the word which I said unto you, The bondman is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my word, they will keep also yours.

21 Н о всичко това ще ви направят заради Моето име, защото не познават Онзи, Който Ме е пратил.

But they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they have not known him that sent me.

22 А ко не бях дошъл и не бях им говорил, грях не биха имали; сега, обаче, нямат извинение за греха си.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.

23 К ойто мрази Мене, мрази и Моя Отец.

He that hates me hates also my Father.

24 А ко не бях извършил между тях делата, които никой друг не е извършил, грях не биха имали; но сега видяха и намразиха и Мен, и Моя Отец.

If I had not done among them the works which no other one has done, they had not had sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.

25 Н о това стана, за да се изпълни писаното в закона им слово: "Намразиха Ме без причина."

But that the word written in their law might be fulfilled, They hated me without a cause.

26 А когато дойде Утешителят, когото Аз ще ви изпратя от Отца, Духът на истината, Който изхожда от Отца, Той ще свидетелства за Мене.

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes forth from with the Father, he shall bear witness concerning me;

27 Н о и вие свидетелствате, защото сте били с Мен отначало.

and ye too bear witness, because ye are with me from beginning.
