1 Т ака казва Господ: Слез в къщата на Юдейския цар и изговори там това слово, като кажеш:

Thus saith Jehovah: Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,

2 С лушай словото Господне, царю Юдейски, който седиш на Давидовия престол, ти, слугите ти и народът ти, които влизате през тези порти.

and say, Hear the word of Jehovah, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people who enter in through these gates.

3 Т ака казва Господ: Извършвайте правосъдие и правда и отървавайте обрания от ръката на насилника; не онеправдавайте, нито насилвайте чужденеца, сирачето и вдовицата и невинна кръв не проливайте на това място.

Thus saith Jehovah: Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor; and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place.

4 З ащото ако наистина вършите това, тогава през портите на този дом ще влязат царе, седящи на Давидовия престол, возени на колесници и яздещи коне, те, слугите им и народът им.

For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in through the gates of this house kings sitting in the place of David upon his throne, riding in chariots and on horses,—he, and his servants, and his people.

5 Н о ако не послушате тези думи, заклевам се в Себе Си, казва Господ, че този дом ще запустее.

But if ye will not hear these words, I have sworn by myself, saith Jehovah, that this house shall become a waste.

6 З ащото така казва Господ за дома на Юдейския цар: Ти си Ми Галаад и ливански връх; но ще те превърна в пустиня, в градове ненаселени.

For thus saith Jehovah concerning the house of the king of Judah: Thou art a Gilead unto me, the summit of Lebanon: verily I will make thee a wilderness, cities not inhabited.

7 Щ е приготвя против теб изтребители, всеки с оръжията му; и ще изсекат отбраните ти кедри и ще ги хвърлят в огъня.

And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons; and they shall cut down the choice of thy cedars, and cast into the fire.

8 И много народи, като минат край този град, ще кажат, всеки на ближния си: Защо Господ постъпи така с този голям град?

And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath Jehovah done thus unto this great city?

9 И ще отговорят: Защото изоставиха завета на Господа, своя Бог, и се поклониха на други богове, и им служиха.

And they shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of Jehovah their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.

10 Н е плачете за умрелия, нито ридайте за него; а плачете горчиво за онзи, който отива, защото няма да се върне вече, нито ще види пак родната си земя.

Weep not for the dead, neither bemoan him; weep sore for him that goeth away, for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.

11 З ащото така казва Господ за Селум, син на Юдейския цар Йосия, който царуваше вместо баща си Йосия, който и излезе от това място: Той няма да се върне вече;

For thus saith Jehovah concerning Shallum the son of Josiah, the king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, who went forth out of this place: He shall not return thither any more;

12 а на мястото, където го закараха пленник, там ще умре и няма да види вече тази земя.

for he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.

13 Г орко на онзи, който строи къщата си с неправда и стаите си - с кривда; който кара ближния си да му работи без заплата и не му дава надницата му;

Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his upper chambers by injustice; that taketh his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not his earning;

14 к ойто си казва: Ще си построя голяма къща и широки стаи; в които си отваря прозорци и я покрива с кедър и я боядисва с алено.

that saith, I will build me a wide house, and spacious upper chambers; and he cutteth out for himself windows; and it is wainscoted with cedar, and painted with vermilion.

15 П онеже гледаш да си натрупаш кедри, ще царуваш ли? Баща ти не ядеше и не пиеше ли? Да! Но той извършваше правосъдие и правда, тогава благоденстваше.

Shalt thou reign, because thou viest with the cedar? Did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice? Then it was well with him.

16 О тсъждаше делото на сиромаха и бедния; тогава благоденстваше. Не значеше ли това да Ме познава? - казва Бог.

He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well. Was not this to know me? saith Jehovah.

17 А твоите очи и твоето сърце не са в друго, освен в нечестната си печалба и в проливане на невинна кръв, и в извършване на насилие и угнетение.

But thine eyes and thy heart are only on thine extortion, and on the blood of the innocent, to shed it, and on oppression and on violence, to do it.

18 З атова така казва Господ за Юдейския цар Йоаким, Йосиевия син: Няма да го оплакват, като казват: Горко, брате мой!, или: Горко, сестро! Няма да го оплачат, като кажат: Горко, господарю!, или: Горко, негово величество!

Therefore thus saith Jehovah concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, the king of Judah: They shall not lament for him, Ah, my brother! or, Ah, sister! They shall not lament for him, Ah, lord! or Ah, his glory!

19 Т ой ще бъде погребан с оселско погребение, извлечен и хвърлен оттатък йерусалимските порти.

He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, dragged along and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.

20 И зкачѝ се на Ливан и извикай, с висок глас извикай от Аварим към Васан, защото загинаха всичките ти любовници.

Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and give forth thy voice in Bashan, and cry from Abarim: for all thy lovers are destroyed.

21 Г оворих ти в благоденствието ти; но ти каза: Не искам да слушам. Такъв е бил пътят ти от младостта ти, че ти не слушаше гласа Ми.

I spoke unto thee in thy prosperity; thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy way from thy youth, that thou hearkenedst not unto my voice.

22 В ятърът ще се храни с всичките ти овчари и любовниците ти ще отидат в плен; навярно тогава ще се смутиш и посрамиш поради цялата си злина.

The wind shall feed on all thy shepherds, and thy lovers shall go into captivity; surely, then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.

23 Т и, която населяваш Ливан, която правиш гнездото си в кедрите, колко ще бъдеш за жалене, когато те нападнат мъки, болки като на жена, която ражда!

Thou inhabitress of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how pitiful shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, pain as of a woman in travail!

24 З аклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ, че даже ако Йехония, син на Юдейския цар Йоаким, би бил печат на дясната Ми ръка, и оттам бих те откъснал;

I live, saith Jehovah, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, were a signet upon my right hand, yet will I pluck thee thence;

25 и ще те предам в ръката на онези, които искат живота ти, и в ръката на онези, от които се боиш. Да! В ръката на вавилонския цар Навуходоносор и в ръката на халдейците.

and I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them before whom thou art afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.

26 Щ е отхвърля теб и майка ти, която те е родила, в друга земя, където не сте се родили, и там ще умрете.

And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.

27 А в земята, където душата им желае да се върне, там няма да се върнат.

And into the land whereunto they lift up their souls to return, thither shall they not return.

28 Н има този човек, Йехония, е счупено и презряно грънчарско изделие или непотребен съд? Тогава защо бяха отметнати - той и потомството му, и бяха хвърлени в страна, която не познават?

Is this man Coniah a despised broken vase? a vessel wherein is no delight? Wherefore are they thrown out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?

29 О , земьо, земьо, земьо, чуй словото Господне;

O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of Jehovah!

30 т ака казва Господ: Запишете този човек за бездетен, човек, който няма да успее в дните си; защото нито един човек от потомството му няма да успее да седи на Давидовия престол и да властва вече над Юдея.

Thus saith Jehovah: Write this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days; for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.
