1 Y ahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

2 “ Command the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you come into the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to its borders),

Накажи Ізраїлевим синам та й скажи їм: Коли ви ввійдете до ханаанського Краю, це буде той Край, що припаде вам у спадщині, ханаанський Край по границях його.

3 t hen your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the side of Edom, and your south border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea eastward.

І буде вам південна сторона від пустині Цін при Едомі, і буде вам південна границя від кінця Солоного моря на схід.

4 Y our border shall turn about southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass along to Zin; and it shall pass southward of Kadesh Barnea; and it shall go from there to Hazar Addar, and pass along to Azmon.

І скерується вам та границя з полудня до Маале-Акраббіму, і перейде до Ціну, і будуть виходи її з полудня до Кадеш-Барнеа. І вийде вона до Хацар-Аддару й перейде до Ацмону.

5 T he border shall turn about from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and it shall end at the sea.

І скерується границя з Ацмону до єгипетського потоку, і будуть її виходи до моря.

6 “ ‘For the western border, you shall have the great sea and its border. This shall be your west border.

А границя західня, буде для вас море Велике, це буде для вас західня границя.

7 “ ‘This shall be your north border: from the great sea you shall mark out for yourselves Mount Hor.

А оце буде для вас північна границя: від Великого моря визначите собі за границю Гор-гору.

8 F rom Mount Hor you shall mark out to the entrance of Hamath; and the border shall pass by Zedad.

Від Гор-гори визначите в напрямі до Гамату, і будуть виходи границі до Цедаду.

9 T hen the border shall go to Ziphron, and it shall end at Hazar Enan. This shall be your north border.

І вийде границя до Зіфрону, і будуть її виходи до Гацар-Енану. Це буде вам північна границя.

10 “ ‘You shall mark out your east border from Hazar Enan to Shepham.

І визначите собі за границю на схід від Гацар-Енану до Шефаму.

11 T he border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain. The border shall go down, and shall reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward.

І зійде границя від Шефаму до Рівли, на схід Аіну. І зійде границя, і дійде на беріг Кінеретського моря на схід.

12 T he border shall go down to the Jordan, and end at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders around it.’”

І зійде границя до Йордану, і будуть її виходи море Солоне. Це буде для вас Край по його границях навколо.

13 M oses commanded the children of Israel, saying, “This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which Yahweh has commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe;

І Мойсей наказав Ізраїлевим синам, говорячи: Оце та земля, що ви поділите собі її жеребком, що Господь наказав дати дев'яти племенам і половині племені.

14 f or the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their fathers’ houses, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to their fathers’ houses, have received, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance.

Бо взяли плем'я Рувимових синів за домами батьків своїх, і плем'я Ґадових синів за домами батьків своїх, і половина племени Манасіїного взяли спадщину свою,

15 T he two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.”

два племені й половина племени взяли вже свою спадщину з того боку приєрихонського Йордану на схід та на південь.

16 Y ahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

17 “ These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Оце імена тих мужів, що поділять для вас той Край на спадок: священик Елеазар та Ісус, син Навинів,

18 Y ou shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance.

та візьмете по одному князеві з племени, щоб поділити той Край на власність.

19 T hese are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

А оце ймення тих мужів: для Юдиного племени Калев, син Єфуннеїв;

20 O f the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

а для племени Симеонових синів Шемуїл, син Аммігудів;

21 O f the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.

а для племени Веніяминового Елідад, син Кіслонів;

22 O f the tribe of the children of Dan a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli.

для племени Данових синів князь Буккі, син Йоґліїв;

23 O f the children of Joseph: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

для Йосипових синів, для племени синів Манасіїних князь Ханніїл, син Ефодів;

24 O f the tribe of the children of Ephraim a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

а для племени Єфремових синів князь Кемуїл, син Шіфтанів;

25 O f the tribe of the children of Zebulun a prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

а для племени Завулонових синів князь Еліцафан, син Парнахів;

26 O f the tribe of the children of Issachar a prince, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

а для племени Іссахарових синів князь Палтіїл, син Аззана;

27 O f the tribe of the children of Asher a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

а для племени Асирових синів князь Ахігуд, син Шеломіїв;

28 O f the tribe of the children of Naphtali a prince, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”

а для племени синів Нефталимових князь Педаїл, син Аммігудів.

29 T hese are they whom Yahweh commanded to divide the inheritance to the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

Оце ті, кому наказав Господь поділити ханаанський Край на спадщину для Ізраїлевих синів.
