1 P raise Yah, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him.

Хваліть Господа, добрий бо Він, виспівуйте нашому Богу, приємний бо Він, Йому подобає хвала!

2 Y ahweh builds up Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.

Господь Єрусалима будує, збирає вигнанців ізраїлевих.

3 H e heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

Він зламаносердих лікує, і їхні рани болючі обв'язує,

4 H e counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.

вираховує Він число зорям, і кожній із них дає ймення.

5 G reat is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.

Великий Господь наш, та дужий на силі, Його мудрости міри нема!

6 Y ahweh upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.

Господь підіймає слухняних, безбожних понижує аж до землі.

7 S ing to Yahweh with thanksgiving. Sing praises on the harp to our God,

Дайте відповідь Господу нашому вдячною піснею, заграйте для нашого Бога на гуслах:

8 w ho covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.

Він хмарами небо вкриває, приготовлює дощ для землі, оброщує гори травою,

9 H e provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.

худобі дає її корм, воронятам чого вони кличуть!

10 H e doesn’t delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.

Не в силі коня уподоба Його, і не в членах людини Його закохання,

11 Y ahweh takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.

Господь любить тих, хто боїться Його, хто надію складає на милість Його!

12 P raise Yahweh, Jerusalem! Praise your God, Zion!

Хвали Господа, Єрусалиме, прославляй Свого Бога, Сіоне,

13 F or he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you.

бо зміцняє Він засуви брам твоїх, синів твоїх благословляє в тобі,

14 H e makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.

чинить мир у границі твоїй, годує тебе пшеницею щирою,

15 H e sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly.

посилає на землю наказа Свого, дуже швидко летить Його Слово!

16 H e gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.

Дає сніг, немов вовну, розпорошує паморозь, буцім то порох,

17 H e hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold?

Він кидає лід Свій, немов ті кришки, і перед морозом Його хто устоїть?

18 H e sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

Та Він пошле Своє слово, та й розтопить його, Своїм вітром повіє, вода потече!

19 H e shows his word to Jacob; his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.

Своє слово звіщає Він Якову, постанови Свої та Свої правосуддя ізраїлю:

20 H e has not done this for just any nation. They don’t know his ordinances. Praise Yah!

для жодного люду Він так не зробив, той не знають вони правосуддя Його! Алілуя!
